FOODIE: he loves food with a burning passion. when it’s lunch, breakfast or dinner, no one can really stop him from eating a lot especially from sandwiches.
FUNNY: he loves cracking jokes. he tries being funny in order to make others laugh or cheer up.

⫸ background:
shinji was born in changwon, south korea with two older siblings and his parents. when he was about ten, his family moved to new york where shinji learnt fluent english and basic italian. he extremely loved food and immersed himself in many clubs associated with food, his high metabolism usually helped him stay skinny despite how much he ate.
when he was sixteen he returned to south korea where he joined a dance crew. he was scouted by pledis when they found him dancing on the streets of seoul. he decided to contribute to produce 505 because he wanted to experience what previous idols/trainees felt when they were on survival shows.

⫸ trivia:
- he loves food with a burning passion but sandwiches especially. he’s most known for always being found in free time either practicing or making sandwiches and offering it to random trainees.
- shinji actually studied in america for a few years, there he learnt how to speak english. whilst he was also there, he learnt basic italian because of high school.
- he’s allergic to seafood, he learnt about this allergy when he ate sushi when he was younger as after eating, his skin started turning itchy and his lips started swelling slightly.
- in high school he was the leader of the cooking club due to his love for food and such. he earned the praise of his teachers through his dishes.
- as a teenager, he was part of a dance crew in south korea under the name, ‘shin.’ he got scouted after he was found dancing with his crew on the streets of seoul.
