I think that a personality like Vaggie's is way more interesting to see play against Alastor's than Charlie's retrded optimism/naivete. A shame since it would've been a good ship if Vag wasn't 100% lesbian.
Same for her and Angel actually. Vivzie really made the least interesting relationship the only canon/even possible one huh.

I still see a love triangle developing. No reason to assume Charlie knows that Alastor is asexual, no reason to assume Alastor is somehow above manipulating Charlie's emotions for his own gain, or just for his own amusement. Every reason to assume that Charlie and Vaggie's relationship isn't perfect, and that at the very least Charlie sort of cottons to Alastor. Not saying they have actual chemistry, but Alastor could definitely try to drive a wedge in between Charlie and Vaggie by dint of their mutual flamboyance and love of music compared to Vaggie's groundedness and the fact that she's plainly embarrassed/exasperated by Charlie's antics at times.

I wonder if he even intends it to happen? Maybe it is all just in Charlie's and Vaggie's heads. Maybe Al just never turns off the old times charm since the peoole he normally associates with know that is just who he is. Charlie and Vaggie instead see a 20s/30s dandy as a modern day flamboyant cad.

As it should, the girl needs to hit rock bottom herself before she can get better and learn how to actually help people and that some folks can never be helped.
Be neat to see Al and Vaggie come together to run the hotel if Charlie gets dead, like a "do it for her kind of thing." Maybe it leafs to more, who knows?

My predictions:
>Alastor turns on them in a key moment, and the Hotel is ruined. They're effectively back to less than square one, since only Vaggie and Charlie are left
>all because it hinged on Al doing his part in the whole thing
>on top of that, Vaggie just bitterly tells her "I told you so", or something to that effect, feeling betrayed that her girlfriend would trust an infamous and clearly dangerous stranger over her
>Angel Dust has fked off prior to cause sht, and now comes crawling back to the effectively defunct Hotel, after coming to realize just how much NOT worth it is to keep coming back to Valentino
>he jokingly begins asking a disheartened Charlie if she'll take him back in, hoping to find some shelter, but it isn't until he swallows his pride and actually begs her for help that Charlie solemnly announces that she can't
>she stays in the abandoned hotel for a while, we see her sing to herself, whilst Cherri tries her best to hide Angel, now that Valentino's on the warpath, eventually being forced to beg SIR PENTIOUS, of all people, for help - who promptly turns them in to the pimp, hoping to get some Overlord cred
>Alastor, having gotten away scot-free, finds himself bored again, and returns to the Hotel to offer his services
>However, Charlie's dispassionate and sulky, and refuses him more bluntly
>he keeps pushing his luck, eventually offering her a deal, and there's a bait-and-switch moment where it looks like she'll accept it, only for her to snap and shove Al's sht in

Seems possible at the very least it sets up a second season.

I definitely anticipate late-series Angel having a much more catastrophic fkup moment than reneging on a promise, which leaves him a lot lower than just feeling bad that his actions made someone who was trying to help him look foolish and left her all sulky. Exactly what form that will take I don't know, but there's going to be a moment where he's facing consequences that can't be blown up, run away from, or drowned out with a bunch of cocaine.

I had tossed around a plotline where Molly wants to be redeemed and is actually close to achieving it, leading Angel to try to sabotage her because he doesn't want to lose his sister.

This is of course before I read the wiki article which said "eh they're not that close *link to 3 hour long stream* ". I could've sworn I saw some Viv art of them getting along but maybe I hallucinated that.

>Al gets the ever-loving sht beaten out of him, and is stripped of much of his powers before he's chucked over the horizon
>with her confidence regained, Charlie apologizes to Vaggie for not believing in her, and the two decide to restart the Hotel
>Angel's allowed back in, along with Cherri, who decides to pinch in, after Sir Pent had destroyed her HQ, and basically all of the force Sir Pent to help them
>Husk and Niffty, who initially left with Alastor, now return with their boss beaten, and decide to give the whole thing another go

And that's how I see possibly a second or third season's set-up: the VVV trio is now madder than ever, but Vox is reluctant to keep smearing the Hotel after Val had basically come a hair's breath away from being castrated for his sins, and besides, Charlie had put the Radio Demon in his place, so there's infighting among the two, with Velvet taking the initiative to keep poking and prodding the Hotel.
Alastor is away somewhere, recovering, and the rest of the team is now at least TRYING to take the whole thing seriously, and are more willing to follow Charlie more, now that she'd shown that she isn't someone to fk with, and that she's willing to get dirty to achieve what she wants.
Charlie, on her part, would be more embarrassed about the whole thing, and is kind-of afraid of becoming like her dad (or her granddad), but she still retains enough confidence to keep the Hotel going, as it finally starts attracting people, as news of her beating the sht out of Val to save Angel, Cherri and Sir Pent spread through word of mouth (666 News, of course, denies everything), and people actually start to seek the Hotel out - initially as shelter from more powerful sinners, with some of them actually deciding to turn a new leaf.

A lot of good stuff here. My only thought is that Alastor seems to want to watch the world burn, not burn it down himself. He wants to play the part he signed up for because it let's him have a front row seat to watch people stew in their own self made pain and laugh as they fail to climb out of the hole they dug themselves into.

Well, that's why he would come back - after the whole thing fails a bit prematurely, he wants to have more fun, but gets careless with the whole deal-making, and pokes the dragon one times too many, which leaves him dazed enough to seek some form of comfort, leaving him exposed, which Vaggie, having wizened up to his tricks, exploits, primarily just for the joy of finally getting the upper hand on him, which provokes him into violence, conveniently at the same time when Charlie returns, thus finally getting his well-deserved punishment.

Him licking his wounds and biding his time would be the long set-up to see if he'll return to try again, or if he'll return to turn a new leaf.

So in your mind does Al come back and turn over a new leaf, become a mostly harmless trickster, loose his mojo from big daddy voodoo, become a true blue villian, or something else?

Well, it's more like "something else". While he's away recovering he may hatch a scheme to get back at Charlie for being so badly beaten, OR he just decides that he's been both outplayed (by Vaggie) and defeated (by Charlie), and may just stay away for a while to see how the Hotel develops - and if it's succeeding without him, that may force him to reflect on the possibility that he's more of a detriment even WITHOUT intending to be one.
The way I see it, as with many psycho's, control is a very important aspect for Al.
Realizing that he's been a burden BEYOND his intention, i.e. his control, may cause him to reconsider.
And if he's in a powerless or semi-powerless state, and thus, vulnerable, he could get himself taken in, wanting to turn a new leaf, or at least, give it a try.
Or maybe, he'll just sulk, but keep contact with the Hotel through either Rosie or Mimzy, hoping to keep causing trouble through Husk or Niffty.
