- The gang worked to craft the most sensational recipes for what felt like hours, days, weeks even. They were keeping track of time by counting how many rooms they entered up to this point, but this was clearly a massive outlier. Hawk sat down to take a break.
- "Wait a minute...when's the last time we felt an earthquake?"
- Everyone froze, as if a spell over them had been broken.
- "Ratrick...explain yourself. Is the astral plane really collapsing?" Guy shouted.
- "Well yes, but maybe the timetable was a bit off. Look, you must have noticed how arbitrary all this magic stuff is."
- Hawk was enraged. "I thought the union rep talked to you about this! I cannot work overtime without it interfering with my benefits! Not to mention I left my dog at daycare before I left...oh god, how the fuck am I going to afford the late fees..."
- Ratrick responded coldly. "Wow, quite a reaction from someone who does nothing but explain things. It seems like you've all grown sick of our escapades...how about I channel all the magic I have left into one last grand finale spell?"
- The unenthused group made their way towards the Conservatory, a three-story greenhouse with the most beautiful array of flora imaginable. The walls were made of delicate stained glass that magically warped the sun's rays towards a gazebo in the center, which featured a marble sundial as its centerpiece. Ratrick stepped into the gazebo, and everyone gazed in awe as lights from the cosmos circled around them.
- "O rate spirits...give me everything tonight!"
- The lights flickered as everyone's vision became distorted. Ratrick's eyes rolled back and they started speaking in tongues as a perfect blend of light and shadow filled the air. It was like witnessing an exorcism, or maybe the opposite of one. Out the windows of the conservatory, an unmistakable sight emerged: a black hole, which began ripping apart the mansion, as well as time and space itself. Ratrick's voice boomed as their power further intensified.
- "THIS BLACK HOLE LEADS STRAIGHT TO THE MOST HELLISH DEPTHS IMAGINABLE IN THE RATE UNIVERSE: TOTAL IRRELEVANCE. FOR WITHOUT EVEN THE IDEA OF A RATE LINEUP, YOU MAY AS WELL NOT EXIST. AND THE ONLY WAY TO EXPOSE TK'S KILLER TO ELIMINATE THE IRRELEVANT UNTIL ONLY THE KILLER REMAINS!"
- "Now why I am in it..." Hag sighed.
- Kellan breathed worriedly. "You're Losing Me, sis..."
- "NOW, I CAST FORTH ITS POWER!"
- The black hole pulsed. A shockwave of pure nothingness shot out, causing total annihilation of the mansion. When the dust cleared, only a glowing Ratrick and another unconscious figure remained.
