  1. Once worshiped along with her twin brother, Tarnathwen was a demigod of beauty, arts, and love. However, when Alron lost his way and became the god of pain, she took on the guise of vengeance, and became the goddess of revenge.
  2.
  3. Tarnathwen is a goddess held in high regard by the Drel-Reev, (Elves for you round ears) who often identify her mood swings and boisterous attitude with the fey blood that courses through their veins.
  4.
  5. Spheres of Influence: Tarnathwen has many guises; her most known spheres of influence is revenge and trickery, but she is still associated with beauty, art, and love. (and partying. Lots, and lots of partying.)
  6.
  7. Symbol: A hornet.
  8.
  9.
  10. Depiction: A woman wielding a dagger, surmounted by insectoid wings.
  11.
  12. Month: Tarnath, the last month of winter.
  13.
  14. Princess of Feywild: Tarnathwen lives in the feywild with her mother, ruling over a large mountain range dominated by the race known as the Vespans.
  15.
  16. Vespans: See racial page that probably won't get done anytime soon. (Essentially a race of bee people.)
  17.
  18.
  19. Notable Relations
  20.
  21. Alron(Brother): Tarnathwen truly misses her old brother. Despite the futility in it, she constantly battles him in an attempt to bring him back to where he once was.
  22.
  23. Sylvannas(Mother): Sylvannas and Tarnathwen share a loving relationship, and assist each other whenever necessary. Despite this, the two are known to bicker with one another, namely over the fact that Tarnathwen is unwilling to give up on her brother.
  24.
  25. Rhysvial: The whole reason that Tarnathwen is the goddess of vengeance is because of Rhysvial. Tarnathwen seeks to one day strike Rhysvial down herself, no matter how impossible that may sound.
  26.
  27. Rath: In short, Rath constantly attempts to woo Tarnathwen. All attempts have ended outside of his favor.
  28.
  29.
  30. Churches and Clergy
  31.
  32. As stated before, Elves hold Tarnathwen in high regard. She's also quite popular among the exotic races, such as Tieflings or Sylvani. Followers of Tarnathwen fulfill varied roles, but often contain a large amount of thrill seekers, spies, or performers that support the goddess' mercurial nature. Scandals or mischief isn't uncommon among the clergy, which often causes the worship of Tarnathwen to be taboo in some traditions.
  33.
  34. Tarnathwen is also often worshiped by the catfolk or harpies. Temples created by these races often create brothels attributed to her.
  35.
  36. Funnily enough, Tarnathwen isn't necessarily worshiped alongside her mother all too often. Elven communities are typically the only place where you can find actual Tarnashan shrines and churches, which are naturally designed with marble architecture and Elven design. It isn't uncommon for the church of Tarnathwen to be a host for thief or assassin guilds, and are often used for the sake of claiming retribution or information for a certain price. These booths are one of the many reasons that Tarnashan churches are banned throughout Erilen.
  37.
  38. Holy Texts
  39.
  40. Tarnathwen's clergy doesn't really focus on books. Instead, the few tenets that make up the organization are typically passed on through word of mouth.
  41.
  42.
  43. Notable Equipment
  44.
  45. Sting: Tarnathwen's dagger. It's said that the blade brings great pain to those that wrong the wielder.
  46.
  47. Tarnathwen's worshipers will often wear scant clothing that accentuates henna dyes or tattoos found across their body.
  48.
  49.
  50. Rituals
  51.
  52. Remembrance Day: On the 1st of Alros, worshipers of Tarnath pay their respects to the fall of Tarnathwen's brother. Remembrance day is generally what prevents Tarnathwen's churches from being found anywhere outside of Elven or Harpie communities, as followers of Tarnathwen seek to put down those that wronged them -- often times in blood. Followers of Tarnathwen gather at midnight each remembrance day, where they have a great feast after fasting for the day.
  53.
  54. A LOT OF FUCKING PARTYING: A lot of partying. More than the god of freedom. Like, holy shit, if Tarnathwen's followers aren't partying they're likely causing mischief instead.
