  31. == EXPLANATION ==
  32. The goal of this ruleset is to make people use bad skills. Pass block, pass in general, leap rogre, etcetera. Let's see first skill grab on dorfs, fend linos and frenzy blitzers everywhere.
  33.
  34. === Banned teams ===
  35. Amazons and Wood elves are banned because there is a blanket ban on blodgers, and Wardancers and Zon blitzers both cause issues. I don't think these teams should cause problems if wardancers and zon blitzers are banned, but that sounds absolutely miserable to play.
  36.
  37. === Skill restrictions ===
  38.
  39. ==== General ====
  40. The most important changes here are regarding block. Blodge is just extremely good compared to other options defensively, and stifles creativity. It also immensely rewards doubles on pieces that don't have agility access by default, so that you'd never consider another skill. Therefore, blodge is banned.
  41. To stop just spamming of block on all linos, there is a max limit of 6 block, with the exception of teams that have block linos. That, together with only 1 dirty player, hopefully pushes for diversity on linos. The limit of 6 has been chosen to allow Chaos Dwarves to field all of their dwarves, and to allow teams with 4 blitzers to hand out 2 additional block.
  42. Additionally, block on strength 4 players is banned. High strength pieces become much stronger when they get block, and big guys become way more reliable than they are 'supposed' to be. Problem pieces are Ulfs, Black orcs, Lizardmen and Zombies, who are funny strength 4 guys without block and become so strong with block that you'd be silly not to immediately take them.
  43. I left in blodge for stunties because lol they're stunties, just 2die them.
  44. Wrestle is limited because Wrodge because the next best alternative to Blodge, though it is not as bad as it still allows the piece to be taken down relatively easily.
  45.
  46. With both Mighty blow and Piling on becoming much more limited, fouling becomes the best way to remove players. Therefore, teams are only allowed 1 dirty player, to prevent all linos from just becoming dirty players.
  47.
  48. ==== Strength ====
  49. If you roll doubles on a s3 piece, you get guard. If you roll normals on a s3 piece with strength access, you get guard. Guard is so immensely good that bash matchups can be won solely on who has more guard. To prevent everybody from just taking guard, it has been relegated to only s4 and up pieces.
  50. Since s4 and up pieces no longer are allowed to have block, they shouldn't be that oppressive, as you can always uphill them. Or maybe you can just get some Dauntless...
  51. To prevent killing machines, Mighty blow and Piling on have also moved to s4 and up. Piling On big guys are really funny, and POMB isn't as big of an issue on s4 and up players as they won't have block.
  52.
  53. ==== Agility ====
  54. To prevent elves from just taking dodge on all their pieces, only 2 are allowed. This also shadowbans taking more than 2 gutter runners on Skaven (Woodies are already banned).
  55.
  56. ==== Passing ====
  57. Lmao all passing skills are garbage
  58.
  59. === Star Players ===
  60. Zara is absolutely busted, s4 blodge
  61.
  62. == POSSIBLE CHANGES ==
  63.
  64. === Team Concerns ===
  65. With this ruleset, I'm worried that Orcs are too strong, as they have 4 s4 pieces with access to guard. I'm also worried that Vampires might be too weak, as they can't get any block on vampires. These may need adjustments. Khemri look strong but they're still 1000TV Khemri and need to actually get SPP on TGs first
  66.
  67. === Skill concerns ===
  68. Block might need to be lowered to 4 players, you'll still rather quickly put 2 block on extra linos. I've also considered limiting Wrestle, maybe a limit of 2 (except berts) in general would be a good idea.
  69. I'm not entirely sure about the 2-limit of ag4dodge, I think limiting it in general is a pretty good idea, and because blodge is banned elves will have to really think about whether they want block or dodge on their pieces.
  70. I have not really thought about mutations, claw is probably not a big problem on pieces that cannot get POMB, and it's probably not a big problem on pieces that can get POMB as they can't get block (and need a ridiculous amount of SPP).
  71.
  72. The skills that most likely need a look at are sidestep and stand firm. Sidestep is not as strong if you're not blodge as well, and I think that s3 stand firm pieces without guard will not be a very big problem. However, they may dominate the picked skills.
  73.
  74. === Star players ===
  75. I have no idea about star players, so I'm not really sure what would need to be banned
