⚡ Background:
Soulki had always been pretty tall, and to say that she was bullied as a child is an understatement. It got so bad that Soulki had to be taken out of school, and started being home schooled. She had loved k-pop since she was seven years old, after Big Bang's debut in 2008. 2ne1's CL became her favourite artist very quickly, as she loved her songs and persona. She would spend hours in her room learning choreographies after choreographies. YG, more specifically the Black Label, was holding auditions in Incheon when Soulki turned 14, and she begged her parents to let her audition. A K-Pop company was holding auditions in her hometown, of course she was estatic. Her parents were hesitant to let their child go into the tough industry, but they eventually gave in. Soulki passed her audition with flying colours, giving her the chance to become a trainee at The Black Label. Her company was planning for her to have a solo debut in early 2019, but they debuted Somi instead and pushed hers back a year. Soulki was adamant to join PDIDOL120 and finally make her debut.
