  1.
  2. [19:18] Lea Elisheva exclaims, "Okay...!"
  3. [19:18] Lea Elisheva says, "You start, please."
  4. [19:28] Lea buried her face in the desk out of frustration, raising it only when Adrian let himself speak.
  5. (Lea Elisheva)
  6. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7.
  8. [19:31] Adrian Rowan asks, "What did you want to talk about first?"
  9. [19:33] Lea Elisheva says, "I just wanted to tell you what I spoke to Thalia about. Well, some of it."
  10. [19:34] Adrian Rowan asks, "Spoke to Thalia about what?"
  11. [19:35] Lea Elisheva says, "She has some misgivings with you that I really didn't know about. Doesn't like the idea of you being Oracle. I don't agree with her, but it's something we need to address rather than ignore and quietly sulk about and/or allow to fester."
  12. [19:36] Adrian Rowan says, "And I have always had a problem with two murder hungry people as our officals who do as they please."
  13. [19:36] Lea let off a frustrated sigh, her head still buried in the desk.
  14. (Lea Elisheva)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [19:37] Lea Elisheva whispers: Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only not-crazy person...
  18. [19:37] Lea Elisheva says, "I mean."
  19. [19:37] Lea Elisheva says, "You're not wrong."
  20. [19:37] Lea Elisheva says, "Not entirely."
  21. [19:37] Adrian Rowan asks, "Then why are they still here?"
  22. [19:37] Adrian Rowan asks, "Why do they still have any position?"
  23. [19:37] Adrian Rowan says, "Or power to say and do as they please."
  24. [19:38] Adrian Rowan says, "They've done nothing to prove they deserve it, but continue to prove that they shouldn't have it."
  25. [19:38] Lea Elisheva says, "Because kicking people out without having a mature and reasonable adult discussion isn't a good idea."
  26. [19:39] Adrian Rowan says, "Ever since Calael was in charge, we have rolled over and let them do as they please."
  27. [19:39] Adrian Rowan says, "The last time we tried to have a disucssion, Ilui said he did not care about the /law/."
  28. [19:48] ''Which brings me to my problems, many problems. That I have with what's going on here, which continue to press against my skull.''
  29.
  30. He doesn't sit down, no. He remains standing, with his wings spread out at his back. Icy slits focus head, quite serious with his words.
  31.
  32. ''We are both the Oracles of Levengard. Then why does it feel like there's one? Ever since it changed, even before that. I should have to ask you or find out from anyone else, about things we have planned to do and are going to do.
  33.
  34. I shouldn't have to watch as people whisper in your ear, in what is supposed to be our city to keep secrets from me. Two Oracles are supposed to work together, they are supposed to rely on each other.
  35.
  36. Then why can't I rely on you?
  37.
  38. You let people whisper in your ear... And if you know then why do we even need to discuss it? It's been a problem for years, one that no one has ever done anything about. Giving them power isn't a solution, it never has been. In fact, the solution would be cutting them down to size and leaving them as citizens. Then they can go live their lives with their child instead of worrying about important stuff.
  39.
  40. And if they have a problem with that? They can leave, no one is forcing them to stay. People constantly have problems with them, even other cities looked at me before and asked... What am I going to do? I couldn't do anything before, and even now as we are both Oracles, it feels like it's the same thing.
  41.
  42. I'm not going to stand in Levengard as a threat to them, so they can't do as they please constantly. I am not going to be just some brute muscle-head of Levengard, while you think you need to take on all problems on your own and in your own way.
  43.
  44. So far this has not been a two-way street, but a one way. I may as well have remained an Oracle and you should've taken the position up on your own. In the end, I never asked for this position. And I wish I could stay around to make Eiphraem, Niklaus, and Satsuki proud. But in the end, it feels like I am cornered and have no say.
  45.
  46. Which is why I think resigning from Levengard as a whole may be the best course of action for me. This city has been nothing but suffering, even when I promised to Thera and her child who does nothing but spit on everything thinks they are right.
  47.
  48. In the end, I only suggest you change the position to a single Oracle and good luck with the city. Unless you have any other suggestions, I think this may be the best thing for me.''
  49. (Adrian Rowan)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [19:59] Lea slowly shifted her gaze up towards Adrian, listening to every word he had to say.
  53.
  54. "Adrian, I want you to do whatever it takes for you to be happy. I'd love to have my best friend help me with this, kick out bad people, and run it together, but ultimately, running things requires us to be able to do things on our own. And, had I not cared about your say in the matter, I wouldn't have told you what Thalia said. But I did. I wanted to reconcile that.
  55.
  56. But I guess this is how we reconcile it.
  57.
  58. You're my friend before anything else, and I'll treat you as one before I treat you as an Oracle, soldier, or even a citizen. I want you to be okay even if it means you're not in Levengard. I'd rather you be here, but if you can't be here and be okay, then I'm okay with that, too.
  59.
  60. So please, Adrian, don't do anything that stresses you out, okay? You're my best friend, Ilove you, and I don't want to lose that because we don't entirely agree on how this place should be ran."
  61.
  62. There was genuine concern in her voice, but whether or not Adrian would pick up on it was on him.
  63. (Lea Elisheva)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. [20:09] Bringing his hand down onto her desk, fingers spread out and cause the wood to freeze over. It wasn't a threat to her, but the temperature around him drastically dropping is a threat to anyone that gets too close.
  67.
  68. ''But the crap, Lea. If you cared about our friendship before anything else, you would have acted accordingly a long time ago. But in the end, you didn't really ever have my back on anything we did. Each time we tried to take steps forward, if one person cried about it you took three steps back.
  69.
  70. This just seems like a way to seem nice, even if I know you are. Even before our friendship, as an Oracle, you should be ready and able to remove those people that are the problems. Talking doesn't work, it never has. It's a vicious circle, which is why I don't understand why you keep them around?
  71.
  72. Eiphraem knows it, Satsuki does... Even Calael but he'd never admitted it. And you sitting here now, know what exactly the problem is and has been the whole time.
  73.
  74. What makes now any different to before? I have been backing this city since I was sixteen and it's caused nothing but pain. My whole family died, I watched each one of them fall. And I have had to sit back and watch as people insult me, verbally attack me, spit in my face. The number of times I have been attacked and not even retaliated... The amount of time my face has been attacked isn't a joke.
  75.
  76. And then, when I hear you call me fucking stupid on this transceiver? That was it, more than enough to show just how much you actually care about things.
  77.
  78. Why should I stick around? When they start killing people for the smallest reasons when they can't keep their cool and you still let them run rampant in your city... In what was supposed to be. Our city, I don't want to be here to have to clean up that mess. They are nothing but bad.
  79.
  80. How I feel, how fucked up I am due to how much crap I had to deal with. Over and over again? It means nothing, and I don't care what you or anyone else thinks about my mental state or if I am stressed. Focus on the actual problems for once, and stand up and do something about them.
  81.
  82. If you have nothing to say or don't plan to try and convince me to change my mind? Then that's all, I ain't going to stand here and continue to tell you about the crap that's on your plate. Dispute easy solutions.''
  83. (Adrian Rowan)
  84. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  85.
  86. [20:16] Lea stared directly into Adrian's eyes, opting for brevity instead of a long-winded speech.
  87.
  88. "Does it really matter what I say when you've already made up your mind?"
  89. (Lea Elisheva)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [20:17] Adrian Rowan says, "I was hoping you'd do something to change it."
  93. [20:17] Adrian Rowan says, "But like it has always been, nothing is going to be done."
  94. [20:17] Lea Elisheva says, "I never said I'm not doing anything."
  95. [20:17] Lea Elisheva says, "But you just said you didn't even want this position."
  96. [20:17] Lea Elisheva says, "You've already made up your mind."
  97. [20:17] Adrian Rowan says, "I didn't want it because of them being around, and how everyone tries to compromise with them."
  98. [20:17] Adrian Rowan says, "The city itself is something I cared heavily for, I made a promise to Thera when I was young."
  99. [20:17] Adrian Rowan says, "But with them here, this isn't even Levengard anymore."
  100. [20:18] Adrian Rowan says, "And besides from them, we have no communication or trust. So it's pointless."
  101. [20:18] Adrian Rowan says, "As you've made clear, you have no intentions of changing my mind."
  102. [20:18] Adrian Rowan says, "So all I can tell you is good luck."
  103. [20:19] Lea Elisheva says, "Adrian."
  104. [20:19] Lea Elisheva says, "This place stopped being Levengard the moment Godfrey died."
  105. [20:19] Lea Elisheva says, "No, the moment he was driven out."
  106. [20:19] Adrian Rowan asks, "And do you know who pushed for it to happen before any other solution could be figured out?"
  107. [20:20] Adrian Rowan says, "You do, I shouldn't need to remind you."
  108. [20:21] Lea Elisheva says, "...just go. It's up to you to decide whether or not you want to be here after I decide what really needs to be done."
  109. [20:21] Lea Elisheva says, "And do it."
  110. [20:21] Adrian Rowan says, "In the end, we have no communication anyway. And you've made it quite clear what you think about me. And still, you aren't giving me any reasons to change my mind."
  111. [20:22] Adrian Rowan says, "Come, Calista. Let's go, this dicussion seems over."
  112. [20:22] Adrian Rowan says, "Lea is just tip-toeing around the truth, and I have become tired of that. The next person who thinks they can touch me, is in for a very rude awakening."
  113. [20:22] Calista Shimasu says, "Goodbye Lea."
