- The worries of the world are far away as Mirai makes her way to school, a tune in her head, a song in her heart, and a new friend riding shotgun in her back pack. She knows nothing of what happened in that castle after she vanished, after the voice reached out to her and pulled her back into her attic before the strange woman with the wavy black hair could reach her. Nothing in her books could answer the strangeness of all that; but she cared little about that as she succeeded in what she sought out to do.
- As Mirai and Nikkie are on their way to school Mirai stops and looks around before saying, "want to see her?"
- "What?" asks Nikkie as Mirai opens up her backpack, reavling only her the bare minimum of school books.
- "Its okay MewMew," says Mirai, causing a small furry red creature like a cross between a squirrel and a fox to come into view.
- "Mew," responds the little thing.
- "Is that?" asks Nikkie
- "Yeah," says Mirai enthusiastically, yet quietly, "this is my summoned creature...the things in that weird dimension called her (The Dreamer)"
- MewMew looks up at Mirai,
- Mirai smiles, "but I'm calling her MewMew."
- "Mew," says MewMew.
- "It has a title?" asks Nikkie.
- "My book," says Mirai scratching MewMew behind the ear, "says there are some summoned creatures called (Sleepers), Dreamer sounds like a fancier way of saying that. I'm going to ask my grandmother more about it later...like...why was I in some weird castle...no way that was all inside MewMew...that would be...too weird."
- "Wait," says Nikkie,
- "Oh you can pet her too," smiles Mirai.
- Nikkie stops and looks at MewMew who seems to smile and, "Mew"
- Nikkie pets her, MewMew *nudges* up against her hand like a cat.
- A distant school bell brings them back to the real world and they rush down the sidewalk, MewMew vanishing back into the backpack.
- "Oh...right," thinks Nikkie, "I was going to ask how she was planning to keep it hidden at school...duh...summoners have to keep their...beasts..."
- Her mind flashes with images of tentacled horrors, floating reapers, the black knight ghost thing Mirai's grandmother has, and a host of other weird things...and then MewMew.
- "With...them...like intangible...ghosts."

- First period is greeted by the teacher bringing in a tv and turning on the news. That morning another city in Central America was destroyed by the Kaiju, Dursha. Nikkie, Mirai, and Luke try not to exchange glances. They had been raised in a world where magic and monsters existed, but were also kept secret; but now there had been giant monsters, like something out of a movie rampaging around the globe. It wasn't so bad when it was just one oddity, a dragon goddess who had been asleep so long no one apparently had gotten word to her that they were supposed to be subtle...but shortly after there came this thing destroying the landscape and attacking ships at sea all across the nothern countries of South America and across Central America and throughout the Caribean. Word was that Azuaria had vanished along with two unknown Kaiju...but not long ago a giant sea turtle emerged off the coast of Chile, a giant scorpion woman on the western coast of Africa, a monstrous shark near Midway Island, and several others. People had already begun to question if these giant ones exist, then might also smaller ones...hidden amongst humans; a rumor spread more thanks to that footage of Azuaria, that black Azuaria and that chibi-egg shaped duck thing all talking.

- Elsewhere the same footage is being watched by ancient beings, Shahara and Lohln watch from Shahara's office; while the council awaits on monitors for a decision to be made.
- "So far," says Shahara, "the humans only know that these giant monsters exist, they have no evidence for the rest of us, and luckily no one has decided to play super-hero and attack one of the giants. That said however everyone this Dursha...well look where it is. This thing is a threat to us and humans alike, and our own reports indicate it targets arthropod types..."
- She pauses a moment, "We have reason to believe it may be targeting B. Mai Valentine's hive, which given how much it is being followed by human news stations...no doubt they will see a battle between the beings on that island and this monster, particularly Paramalia and her followers."
- Alana over the monitors asks, "Are you proposing a way to stop it before this happens?"
- Lohln chimes in, "Yes we are, I will destroy this mindless destroyer. We have already reasoned with those giants that can be reasoned with...this thing simply attacks anything that gets close to it. As you may know I have a secondary form beyond my spider form....what you may not know is I can increase my size in that form to the same scale as this Dursha...especially now with an obelisk missing...even with it missing though this won't be easy...simply going to that size will be taxing...however this Dursha looks to have a hard enough time moving let alone fighting, with some mana flow back up I should be able to defeat it...much like how it was losing its fight with Azuaria after she absorbed enough mana to move quicker."
- The council is silent a moment, but they know there are no other real options, its either expose one of them to the public, minimalistly as a new giant monster without revealing their human form...or else send an army of their kind after it, because that is what will happen if it reaches Paramalia's island, she isn't likely to be subtle about defending her domain.
