    <br/>    Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the International Youth Conference is held every year to embrace an elite group of the world’s youth in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
    <br/>    The 9th Annual International Youth Conference falls under the theme of "Give Back". Give Back is part of an effort spearheaded by the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs to embrace the youth in Bahrain and globally.
    <br/>    The selected theme seeks to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals are an integral driving force in society and should be used as a tool to encourage the youth to strive to achieve them now without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs and, in turn, develop the economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
    <br/>    The Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs believes in the power of investing in our youth. The youth currently represent a large part of society and have countless achievements in various fields, this conference will highlight the most important Arab and International issues. The conference will provide a platform for the youth to meet and exchange experiences amongst themselves in order to achieve the goals and work towards a better world free of poverty, hunger and one that ensures equality for all. The conference will host an array of activities, which will include discussions, seminars and workshops.

    <br/>    <span class="orange-classic">Objectives of the Conference</span>
<br/> 1. Define Sustainable Development Goals to Youth.
<br/> 2. Increase youth engagement in SDG initiatives and develop youth plans for action within their local, national, and
regional contexts.
<br/> 3. Promote a culture of giving to meet the needs of society.
<br/> 4. Encourage young people to start projects and contribute to the local development as well as the revitalization of the
economy in order to serve the Sustainable Development Goals.
<br/> 5. Encourage community development through the attraction of international expertise and personalities active in various
Sustainable Development fields.
<br/> 6. Provide an opportunity for networking, innovation and collaboration amongst participants.

    <br/>    <span class="orange-classic">Target Age Group</span>
    <br/>    All youth, between the ages of 18-30 years, both male and female, are encouraged to participate in the conference.
    <br/>
    <br/>    <span class="orange-classic">Conference Topics</span>
    <br/>    This year, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set by the United Nations, have been selected as an inspiration for the topics of the 9th International Youth Conference. The following is a description of these topics.
    <br/>
    <br/>    <span class="green-underlined">Climate Action</span>
    <br/>    The topic of Climate Action will be a focus of this conference, as it addresses pertinent topics related to the environmental risks that threaten the sustainability of natural resources, and the difficulty in renewing these resources after they have been irresponsibly misused. In addition, the consequences of this misuse will be outlined as well as the severe ramifications it has on future generations.
    <br/>
    <br/>    <span class="green-underlined">Clean Water and Sanitation</span>
    <br/>    The most distinguished inventions in the field of sustainable development, specifically those ensuring access to clean drinking water and other related topics, will be discussed in the conference. In addition, topics such as achieving food security and investing in sustainable agriculture will be highlighted.
    <br/>
    <br/>    <span class="green-underlined">Affordable and Clean Energy</span>
    <br/>    Alternative energy issues and the need to work on the development of green fields and renewable energy sources will be a focus of this conference. This conference will highlight the importance of developing effective solutions for industrial energy.
    <br/>
    <br/>    <span class="green-underlined">Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure</span>
    <br/>    This topic covers the fundamentals of environment-friendly industries which provide the infrastructure that corresponds to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in addition to highlighting the role of transportation and technology in supporting these goals.
    <br/>
    <br/>    <span class="green-underlined">Sustainable cities and communities</span>
    <br/>    This topic talks about making cities safe and sustainable means ensuring access to safe and affordable housing, and upgrading slum settlements. It also involves investment in public transport, creating green public spaces, and improving urban planning and management in a way that is both participatory and inclusive.

   <br/> تحت رعاية كريمة من سمو الشيخ ناصر بن حمد آل خليفة ممثل جلالة الملك للأعمال الخيرية وشئون الشباب رئيس المجلس الأعلى للشباب والرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية البحرينية، يأتي مؤتمر الشباب الدولي بشكل سنوي ليحتضن نخبة من شباب العالم في مملكة البحرين.
   <br/> ويأتي مؤتمر الشباب الدولي التاسع لعام 2017 تحت شعار” Give Back” وذلك ضمن جهود مملكة البحرين المتمثلة بوزارة شئون الشباب والرياضة في احتضان كل ما يخص الشباب البحريني بشكل خاص وشباب العالم بشكل عام.
   <br/> وقد تم اختيار موضوع أهداف التنمية المستدامة التابعة للأمم المتحدة نظراً لكونه عنصر مهم لتشجيع الشباب على الاجتهاد في تحقيق هذه المواضيع بما يلبي احتياجات الحاضر بدون المساس بقدرة الأجيال القادمة على تلبية حاجاتها والتي من شأنها تنمية الاقتصاد في مملكة البحرين.
   <br/> ومن منطلق ايمان وزارة شؤون الشباب والرياضة بأن الشباب يمثل في الوقت الحالي شريحة كبيرة من المجتمع ولديهم انجازات لا تعد ولا تحصى في شتى المجالات، جاء هذا المؤتمر ليسلط الضوء على أبرز قضايا المجتمع العربي والدولي، حيث سيشكل المؤتمر فرصة الالتقاء وتبادل التجارب بين الشباب في تحقيق الاهداف نحو عالم أفضل يخلو من الفقر والجوع ويكفل المساواة للجميع، وسيتضمن العديد من الأنشطة المتنوعة والتي ستشمل الحلقات النقاشية، والندوات ومجموعات ورش العمل.

   <br/><span class="orange-classic"> أهداف المؤتمر</span>
   <br/>1. تعريف الشباب بأهداف التنمية المستدامة للأمم المتحدة.
   <br/>2. تعزيز ثقافة البذل والعطاء لدى الشباب لتلبية الاحتياجات المباشرة للمجتمع دون المساس بثروة الأجيال القادمة.
   <br/>3. تشجيع الشباب على بدء المشاريع والمساهمة في تنشيط اقتصاد الدول بما يخدم الأهداف السامية للتنمية المستدامة.
   <br/>4. تنمية المجتمع من خلال جذب واستقطاب الخبرات العالمية والشخصيات الفاعلة في المجالات المختلفة.

   <br/> الشباب من الجنسين في الفئة العمرية ما بين (18 -30 سنة)

   <br/> هذا العام، تم اختيار أهداف التنمية المستدامة للأمم المتحدة (SDGs) كمصدر إلهام لمحاور مؤتمر الشباب الدولي التاسع.  وفيما يلي توضيح لهذه المحاور.
<br/>
   <br/><span class="green-underlined"> العمل المناخي</span>
   <br/> يتناول هذا المحور المخاطر البيئية التي باتت تهدد استمرارية الموارد الطبيعية وصعوبة تجددها جراء الاستغلال اللامسؤول للموارد المتاحة، ومدى خطورة الوضع على الأجيال القادمة.
<br/>
   <br/><span class="green-underlined"> المياه النظيفة والنظافة الصحية</span>
   <br/> في هذا المحور، سيتم تسليط الضوء على أبرز الاختراعات في مجال التنمية المستدامة لاسيما الكفيلة بحق الانسان في الحصول على المياه النظيفة الصالحة للشرب والمشاريع القائمة في هذا الجانب، هذا بالإضافة الى العمل نحو تحقيق الامن الغذائي والاستثمار في مشاريع الزراعة المستدامة.

   <br/><span class="green-underlined"> الحياة تحت الماء</span>
   <br/> يأخذنا هذا المحور نحو عالم البحار بأسراره العميقة وكنوزه الدفينة من خلال مشاركة نخبة من أبرز المصورين العالميين الذين كرسوا حياتهم لاكتشاف هذا العالم الغامض ونقل تجاربهم بكل ما تحمله من لقطات تكشف لنا الواقع الذي بات يهدد أكبر مساحات الأرض.
   <br/> طاقة نظيفة وبأسعار معقولة
   <br/> يعتمد هذا المحور على طرح قضايا الطاقة البديلة وضرورة العمل على تطوير الحقول الخضراء والعمليات واسعة النطاق للطاقة المتجددة، والتقاط الكربون وتخزينه، ووضع حلول فعالة للطاقة الصناعية.
<br/>
   <br/><span class="green-underlined"> الصناعة والابتكار والهياكل الأساسية</span>
   <br/> يتناول هذا المحور أسس الصناعة الصديقة للبيئة من خلال توفير البنية التحتية المواكبة لأهداف التنمية المستدامة، والمواصلات والتكنولوجيا الداعمة لتلك الأهداف.
<br/>
   <br/><span class="green-underlined"> مدن ومجتمعات محلية مستدامة</span>
   <br/> يتناول هذا المحور إمكانية التغلب على ‏التحديات التي تواجهها المدن المكتظة والتي تحتاج الى صيانة بطرائق تتيح لتلك المدن مواصلة الانتعاش والنمو، مع تحسينها في الوقت ‏ذاته استخدام الموارد ومع تخفيضها للتلوث والفقر. وإمكانية ان تتاح في تلك المدن للجميع الحصول على الخدمات الأساسية والطاقة والإسكان والنقل وما هو أكثر من ‏ذلك.
