  1. RosenkrantzGM IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
  2. RosenkrantzGM With the new urgency brought about by the suspicious circumstances under which the bodies of assassinated astropaths and navigator were found, Wilhelm’s inner circle has shrunk as quickly as his need to have eyes on every possible corner of the star system.
  3. RosenkrantzGM He trusts no one else but you, members of his family, and the Household Guard. If such a breach in security was possible, it is likely the individual responsible has significant security clearances on the vessel.
  4. RosenkrantzGM Due to the delicate situation, you have been tasked with aiding the Enginseer-Prime in his expedition to the abandoned voidstation, to restore functionality to the systems on board.
  5. RosenkrantzGM No other Aurorae personnel are allowed to come along with you, in fact Lord Heinrich has secretly passed the order to the Mechanicus personnel in the lighter bays to perform extra maintenance on the landers, as to effectively "ground" them, that no one be able to enter or leave the ship.
  6. RosenkrantzGM While no alarm has officially been raised, the increased patrols along the bridge, and the Ship's Palace will soon raise suspicions to whomever the infiltrator may be.
  7. RosenkrantzGM He trusts no one else, but you. And you know the dangers you face should you fail. An unknown recipient was given an unknown amount of information on how to reach the Gillam system based entirely on the charts of House Grandier - the first and most accurate warp-charts to the system.
  8. RosenkrantzGM At any moment, your unseen foe will arrive, with a force unknown, and motives you have every right to be weary of.
  9. RosenkrantzGM Of the small lander fleet now grounded, a single spacecraft will be prepared for your mission.
  10. Makh_Chomun finishes arming himself, testing the new seals for his brand spankin' new Pressured Carapace. Satisfied with it's craftsmanship, Makh nods to ven Dreiger, indicating for him to leave. He then turns to the group.
  11. RosenkrantzGM The Gun-cutter, as was agreed to by the Lord-Captain while overviewing the preparations with Makh, is prepared and made available to the boarding party.
  12. Caerwyn_Beraht wrestles the void suit on, grunting pithy curses as he tries to puzzle through the various buckles, pressurizers, and zippers. He twists his body uncomfortably, feeling the heavy suit constrict his motion...and his diaphragm. "Damned infernal suit..."
  13. Neue-Ziel checks his equipment and his suit. He commands two multitask servitors to join him.
  14. Makh_Chomun "Need some assistance, brother?"
  15. Makh_Chomun offers a hand to the annoyed priest.
  16. Baine_Mort checks his weapons and finishes putting on his trusty pressure carapace suit.
  17. RosenkrantzGM The cadenced marching of House Guard precedes the entry of your Lord-Captain who has come out to see your final preparations.
  18. RosenkrantzGM The uniformed troop halts just outside the hangar, while Wilhelm proceeds towards you.
  19. Caerwyn_Beraht bats him away. "Mr. Chomun, please, an intelligent culturati such as myself should have no problem performing the requisite tech-rights and prep..." There is a sucking hiss as Caerwyn accidently hits a switch on his pressurizer. He turns red, a shout rising in his throat. He sucks it down and turns back to Makh. "Yes, help would very much appreciated sir."
  20. Lucrezia turns around and salutes Lord Wilhelm as he approaches. She was already suited up in her pressure carapace.
  21. RosenkrantzGM "All geared up?" he inquires.
  22. Makh_Chomun helps the young priest, through bouts of laughter. After he's done he salutes the Lord Captain with a fist to his armored chest.
  23. Baine_Mort salutes to Lord Wilhelm.
  24. RosenkrantzGM "That look suits you rather well, Lord Chomun," he says with a nod.
  25. Neue-Ziel check his chainsword. He says "I am ready, my Lord-Captain."
  26. Makh_Chomun "Thank you m'lord, haven't yet gotten a chance to test this baby out, she's been resting in my room since we last made port."
  27. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm approaches the Enginseer, "I am aware of the uncomfortable constraints in which I am making you operate," he begins, almost apologetically, "but I trust you will be able to do all that is necessary to fix our eyes and ears in the Void."
  28. Caerwyn_Beraht suffers through the humiliating gear up with little dignity, breathing a short thanks to Makh before turning to Lord Wilhelm and dipping int a curt bow.
  29. Neue-Ziel "I will do what I can, my lord."
  30. RosenkrantzGM +Security breach. Sabotage on Gun-Deck Beta 5. Deck Bosun unresponsive to calls+ Wilhelm practically digs his commbead into his skull. But you all hear the transmission.
  31. Caerwyn_Beraht quietly begins to sprinkle holy water all across his suit, silently praying to whatever saint will deign to listen to him. He rubs his beaded necklace thoughtfully before jerking his head over to Wilhelm. "What?"
  32. RosenkrantzGM The Lord-Captain's face goes from surprise, to rage, to that cold stoicism typical of him when issuing commands on the bridge. "You needn't concern yourselves with this. I will make sure comms keeps you clear from any transmissions not relevant to your mission."
  33. Lucrezia curses under her breath at the news. "Seems that our mystery intruder is growing bolder. Do please keep us informed, my Lord."
  34. Makh_Chomun "As you will my lord." Makh grates his teeth, visibly concerned but does as told.
  35. Baine_Mort "Yea, they're trying to fuck with my guns, I will not stand for this."
  36. Neue-Ziel "Vile heretic."
  37. RosenkrantzGM "I needn't tardy you any longer... and there are matters which require my immediate attention. Emperor be with you." Wilhelm says with a quick nod, before turning around and walking out of the hangar.
  38. Makh_Chomun salutes the Lord Captain once more before boarding the guncutter.
  39. Neue-Ziel makes the sign of the Omnissiah.
  40. Baine_Mort salutes and boards the guncutter
  41. Lucrezia gives one last salute before stepping into the guncutter.
  42. Caerwyn_Beraht "Ire Cum Imperator." Caerwyn makes the sign of the aquila and heads off after Chomun. He boards the gun cutter and is already busying himself making sure the interior is as organized as possible.
  43. Neue-Ziel commands his servitors into the ship and secures them.
  44. Baine_Mort makes his way to the pilot seat and begins preparing the GunCutter for take off.
  45. Caerwyn_Beraht You can tell he is on edge. He straps himself into his seat slowly and cuddles with his eviscerator, cradling it and muttering to himself quietly.
  46. RosenkrantzGM +Clearing Hangar, Master Mort. Prepare to unlock landing gear+
  47. Baine_Mort +Understood+
  48. Neue-Ziel takes a seat at the tech priest station and straps himself in.
  49. Makh_Chomun straps himself in, making himself as comfortable as a man in pressured carapace, and covered in several bandoliers of shotgun shells can get.
  50. Baine_Mort finishes his preflight check and closes the Guncutter hatch.
  51. Caerwyn_Beraht "God-Emperor protect us...God-Emperor Protect us... Fortis ego sum in conspectum ejus..."
  52. RosenkrantzGM Outside the viewports, you see the deep red light strobes signaling the clearing of the hangar. The crews run to their holding cocoons along the walls.
  53. RosenkrantzGM +Master Hangar all-clear. Release landing gear+
  54. Caerwyn_Beraht rubs the glass bubble of his void suit helmet, trying to buff out imaginary smudges to take the edge off.
  55. Baine_Mort +Understood, releases landing gear now.+ Baine says as he disengages the landing gear.
  56. RosenkrantzGM The maglocks deactivated, the landing gear is now only secure to the floor by the gravplates of the hangar. In front the cockpit, the thin blue-violet web-like protective membrane crackles to life.
  57. RosenkrantzGM Behind it, the Aurorae's hull parts, revealing the empty void beyond.
  58. RosenkrantzGM +You are clear for take off, Master Mort. Ave Imperator+
  59. Baine_Mort +Ave Imperator, Baine Mort out+ Baine says as he takes off and maneuvers the GunCutter out of the Aurorae's hanger.
  60. RosenkrantzGM A small jolt in the controls signals to you that the spacectaft is now in the open void. The navigation console confirms this as the scanners springs to life, attempting to map your surroundings.
  61. RosenkrantzGM Now familiar with the station, and the necessary approach, your pilot takes you out far from the Aurorae, into the high-orbit of the voidstation.
  62. Makh_Chomun "So, Neue, what should we expect on the station?"
  63. -->| Baine_Mort_ (chatzilla@F1959B3C.93439396.CF1718BB.IP) has joined #rosenkrantz
  64. Neue-Ziel "Low gravity, no power, and 'servitors'."
  65. |<-- Baine_Mort has left irc.thisisnotatrueending.com (Ping timeout)
  66. =-= Baine_Mort_ is now known as Baine_Mort
  67. Caerwyn_Beraht "'Servitors'?"
  68. Makh_Chomun "Sounds like fun." Makh says as he loads his shotgun.
  69. Neue-Ziel "Do not destroy them. We need one alive."
  70. Lucrezia "Alive?"
  71. Neue-Ziel "I use that term loosely."
  72. Lucrezia "Right."
  73. Makh_Chomun "I hope so."
  74. Caerwyn_Beraht "I do not suffer the presence of the filthy or heretic, Red Man. I will take no such...thing...back to the ship alive. It's impure."
  75. RosenkrantzGM The voidstation is practically invisible to you, in the empty darkness of its orbit, but the scanners assure you that you are traveling in the right direction.
  76. RosenkrantzGM Angled just right, you then see the reflection of the Gillam star off of a large round panel of the station... and as you approach you can begin to see its branched out and circular shape.
  77. -->| Varenus_Grandier (chatzilla@sux-8CC7C6C4.hfc.comcastbusiness.net) has joined #rosenkrantz
  78. RosenkrantzGM Getting closer and closer, towards an airlock familiar to your pilot, it becomes more difficult to make out any more details, as the Gun-cutter is maneuvered with the airlock and the station directly above you.
  79. Neue-Ziel "Priestboy, your ignorance is quite fascinating."
  80. Makh_Chomun Makh is staring at it, out of one of the viewports, his face has a look of curiosity. "Huh, never seen one quite like it."
  81. Baine_Mort +We will be docking shortly+ Baine says over the coms.
  82. Lucrezia readies her pistol and chainsword.
  83. Neue-Ziel [Rogue Cant] "It is ancient technology, it holds many secrets of the machine spirit."
  84. RosenkrantzGM The top hatch of the Gun-cutter gives a low klang and a series of clicks and hisses as it is secured against the station.
  85. Makh_Chomun +Are we secured?+
  86. RosenkrantzGM The short extendable ladder is lowered down to the floor.
  87. Caerwyn_Beraht grasps Argumentum Ad Hominem. +I think that's an affirmative, Chomun.+
  88. Neue-Ziel +Remember, we are in a vacuum. Do not fire your weapons.+
  89. Makh_Chomun +Speaking of, let's have a void suit check before we leave the ship. Better safe than sorry people.+
  90. Baine_Mort +We will be in a moment.+
  91. Neue-Ziel checks his carapace suit.
  92. RosenkrantzGM The systems confirm a lock, but alerts of a pressure differential of catastrophic levels. Just as it was when you left it, the station is without a pressurized atmosphere.
  93. Varenus_Grandier checks his voidsuit before progressing
  94. Lucrezia gives her own suit one last check before moving with the group.
  95. Caerwyn_Beraht doesn't bother to check his suit, concerned that any tinkering on his part might be decidedly fatal.
  96. Neue-Ziel gets up from his station and checks his gear. He pulls out his data-slate containing Katherine's report.
  97. Baine_Mort +Everyone to the cargo hold, I will depressurize it so for boarding once you are all inside.+
  98. Makh_Chomun leads the way to the cargo hold.
  99. Lucrezia heads over to the cargo hold. +Got it.+
  100. Varenus_Grandier follows them
  101. Neue-Ziel follows the group.
  102. Caerwyn_Beraht waddles over to the cargo hold, moving awkwardly in the voidsuit.
  103. Lucrezia looks at Caerwyn and lets him waddle past her on the way instead of getting in his way.
  104. Varenus_Grandier chuckles at Caerwyn's awkwardness
  105. Baine_Mort seals his void suit and sets the cargo hold to seal and depressurize. Baine then joins the others in the cargo hold.
  106. Caerwyn_Beraht +Yuck it up, gentlemen. But the next time you need a report proofread, you shan't get any help from me!+
  107. RosenkrantzGM An alarm goes off in the hold, a light on the hatch blinks bright red and yellow.
  108. Makh_Chomun +Don't be such a baby, you'll get used to it in time.+
  109. Caerwyn_Beraht +But it chafes my thighs, Master Chomun! Oh fie, I knew I should have brought some lotion...+ Caerwyn mutters a quick prayer, asking the Emperor to forgive his lack of preperation.
  110. Varenus_Grandier +We are laughing...with you!+
  111. Makh_Chomun +We'll have to get you fitted for one next time, brother.+
  112. Lucrezia "Right..."
  113. Caerwyn_Beraht +That would be quite nice. Preferably, this new suit would have more wiggle room as well when it coems to the locomotion of my joints. And hopefully it will also have a nice satchel for my books...and maybe a place to hold refreshments...hmmm...+
  114. Lucrezia "Caerwyn... I don't think comfort is the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to these suits."
  115. Varenus_Grandier +I'm just glad I don't have to experience the void without this suit.+
  116. RosenkrantzGM Finally, the alarm goes silent and the light on the hatch fixes itself on a steady yellow.
  117. Makh_Chomun +So, who's on point?+
  118. Varenus_Grandier +I'll take point+
  119. Lucrezia readies her hellgun. "I don't think that's a good idea."
  120. Neue-Ziel +Agreed.+
  121. Varenus_Grandier +But Imagine the Adventure!+
  122. Neue-Ziel pulls out his data-slate.
  123. Varenus_Grandier sighs and shakes his head
  124. Varenus_Grandier +I was quite the scrapper in my day you know!+
  125. Lucrezia starts to move towards the airlock. "Oh, yes. The adventure of being stranded here because we lost our head navigator. Truly exhilerating." She then focuses on the airlock and opens.
  126. Makh_Chomun +I'm sure you were professor, but today is the future. So any volunteers?+
  127. Varenus_Grandier raises his hand
  128. Varenus_Grandier +I am a capable warrior my friend.+
  129. Neue-Ziel +Do not shoot the servitors!+
  130. Makh_Chomun rolls his eyes. +Very well, Master Grandier, but I will be right behind you.+
  131. Caerwyn_Beraht moves in behind Lucrezia, eviscerator tightly gripped in his hand. "IN his presence we are strong. In his presence, we are knowledable. In his presence, we may live forever. Ave Imperator."
  132. -->| Varenus_Grandier_ (chatzilla@sux-8CC7C6C4.hfc.comcastbusiness.net) has joined #rosenkrantz
  133. |<-- Varenus_Grandier has left irc.thisisnotatrueending.com (Ping timeout)
  134. =-= Varenus_Grandier_ is now known as Varenus_Grandier
  135. Varenus_Grandier quickly moves ahead of Lucrezia, hellpistol drawn and dramatically aiming
  136. Baine_Mort follows behind Caerwyn
  137. Neue-Ziel makes his way to follow behind Chomun.
  138. Caerwyn_Beraht begins to breath rather heavy, his huffing audible through the breathing apparatus of his void suit. A bead of sweat forms on his brow, but his eyes are still steely in their determination. +It's too quiet.+
  139. Baine_Mort +I wouldn't be listening as much as keeping an eye out for any movement preacher boy.+
  140. Varenus_Grandier +Which way are we headed?+
  141. Neue-Ziel +We are in an abandoned station filled with servitors. What did you think it would sound like?+
  142. Baine_Mort +Last time I was here we entered main circular room and went left from there+ Baine says to Varenus.
  143. Varenus_Grandier +Is it agreed upon we follow the same path?+
  144. Makh_Chomun goes to unlock the hatch with a grunt, he swings the portal open and takes position behind Varenus.
  145. RosenkrantzGM Your feet are oddly light, underneath you. The gravplates grip you weakly, but it is better than relying on magboots, in any case.
  146. Varenus_Grandier shrugs and starts moving forward, looking around and dramatically pointing his hellpistol
  147. Baine_Mort +There is one other hall we can go which is strait instead of heading left.+
  148. RosenkrantzGM The hallway in front of you is light, leading to an open room with a large central console, runes all about.
  149. Varenus_Grandier +Can you do something with this Master techpriest?+
  150. Neue-Ziel +One moment+
  151. Makh_Chomun racks his shotgun as he looks around, wary of any 'servitors' or other things his armsmen might have yet to encounter.
  152. RosenkrantzGM Lining the wall to the exit, three consoles sit.
  153. Neue-Ziel checks the central console and his data-slate.
  154. RosenkrantzGM From the report, Katherine notes that this is where she was able to tap into a power source in order to provide light and some measure of artificial gravity.
  155. Neue-Ziel checks one of the side consoles.
  156. Baine_Mort checks his lasgun and moves around the room, checking to make sure no servitors are in the room hiding.
  157. Varenus_Grandier +Remarkable.+
  158. Caerwyn_Beraht +Marvel not at the work of heretics, lest they mind be led astray.+
  159. Neue-Ziel +This console has control over the airlock and... nothing else.+
  160. Varenus_Grandier +I say we continue down the left hallway.+
  161. Neue-Ziel +Agreed.+
  162. Baine_Mort +I agree as well+
  163. RosenkrantzGM The long corridor is only partially lit. Flickering lights turn into darkness the further you go. The further half of the corridor has no functioning lights at all.
  164. Neue-Ziel +Mort, where did you meet the 'servitor'?+
  165. Baine_Mort +Down that hall, didn't get farther then that before having to return.+
  166. RosenkrantzGM As you walk into the corridor, there is an open hatch on the left, and another a few meters down and to the right.
  167. RosenkrantzGM The rest are shut.
  168. Caerwyn_Beraht brings his eviscerator up to his chest, clutching it closely. +We should have a group prayer before proceeding. We will need the protection.+
  169. Varenus_Grandier slowly continues, hellpistol raises
  170. Neue-Ziel +The Emperor Protects, The Omnissiah saves.+ He readies his chainsword.
  171. Makh_Chomun clicks on his lamppack and clips it onto his shoulder.
  172. Baine_Mort moves down the hall with his lasgun at the ready checking the first open hatch on the left.
  173. Varenus_Grandier +Left or right?+
  174. Neue-Ziel +Check each room one by one.+
  175. Makh_Chomun +Lamppacks on, if you've got 'im.+
  176. Caerwyn_Beraht sighs, disappointed in the faithlessness of his peers. +For safety, let's be thorough. I shall brook no japes this day, particularly from freakish machine men.+
  177. Caerwyn_Beraht clicks on the lumen pack on his void suit. +Let us proceed, for the Emperor.+
  178. Makh_Chomun +Lead the way, Professor.+
  179. RosenkrantzGM A vibration travels throughout the body of the voidstation, a low frequency growl you can feel on your feet.
  180. Neue-Ziel +You can provide some light with your suit, Priestboy.+
  181. Varenus_Grandier +Good thing about my eyes, I can see in the dark!+He chats as he walks through the left door before hearing the growl
  182. Varenus_Grandier +The heck was that?+
  183. RosenkrantzGM It rattles the station some, before subsiding.
  184. Baine_Mort +Not sure, that was happening when I was here last time.+
  185. Varenus_Grandier +Be prepared, could be more servitors.+
  186. RosenkrantzGM Katherine's report mentions an anomaly encountered in the orbit of the station, a gravitational force which seems to disrupt the station every so often.
  187. Makh_Chomun +And you wait 'til now to tell us that!?+
  188. Baine_Mort +It should of been in Katherine report, plus a lot has happened over the last few days.+
  189. Makh_Chomun +Not everyone had the luxury of reading her report, Baine.+
  190. Caerwyn_Beraht turns on his evisecrator, the chains spinning silently in the vacuum. He pokes the deepest wells of darkness with the tip of its massive blade, probing for any hiding creatures.
  191. Neue-Ziel +There's a destabilization of the orbit. We should find the command hub, immediately.+
  192. Varenus_Grandier +Well, no good wasting time standing around friends!+
  193. Baine_Mort +Well there's your answer.+
  194. Baine_Mort +Ziel, how much time do you say we have before the station falls out of orbit?+
  195. Neue-Ziel +No idea, another 1000 years or another 10 hours.+
  196. Lucrezia "We better find a console that can tell us which one it is, then."
  197. Caerwyn_Beraht lets out an exapserated sigh. +That's reassuring. Any reason why your techno-science is so wildly imprecise?+
  198. Varenus_Grandier sighs and continues into the room, searching for anything of note
  199. Neue-Ziel +Wait for us, you idiot!+
  200. Makh_Chomun +Don't antagonize him, Caerwyn, now isn't the time.+
  201. Neue-Ziel follows Grandier.
  202. Makh_Chomun follows him in.
  203. Baine_Mort enters the room following Varenus
  204. Caerwyn_Beraht surges into the room behind the crowd, eviscerator raised and ready.
  205. Lucrezia is the last to walk in, hellgun still at the ready.
  206. RosenkrantzGM The room appears to be some sort of holding area, perhaps a crewman's quarters. It's difficult to tell, as there are scrapes on the wall, and anything that wasn't bolted to the floor has been ripped out or severely damaged.
  207. Makh_Chomun +Looks clear, shall we check the others?+
  208. Neue-Ziel +Let's move.+
  209. Baine_Mort +I agree.+
  210. Varenus_Grandier +Move out!+
  211. Lucrezia +Right behind you.+
  212. Varenus_Grandier leads the group to the second room triumphantly
  213. Caerwyn_Beraht nods, following the ebuillent navigator.
  214. Baine_Mort follows
  215. Neue-Ziel follows behind Priestboy.
  216. Makh_Chomun keeps his shotgun at the ready as he follows Varenus in.
  217. Varenus_Grandier scans the room as he enters, moving in cautiously
  218. RosenkrantzGM This room is not much different, save for the central metallic surface - either a bed or a desk. The corner of it has been ripped to shreds by something, in three parallel scratches.
  219. Varenus_Grandier +Anyone getting a bad feeling about this?+
  220. Baine_Mort +You always have a bad feeling about everything.+
  221. Makh_Chomun makes note of the scratches.
  222. Varenus_Grandier +I like to think of myself as an optimist!+ he argues loudly
  223. Caerwyn_Beraht +What made those? Our mechanical friends?+
  224. Lucrezia focuses on the ripped corner and closes in to examine it.
  225. Baine_Mort +Ziel, do you think the servitors could of done this?+
  226. Neue-Ziel approaches the corner of the room slowly.
  227. Makh_Chomun keeps watch at the door.
  228. Baine_Mort scans the room looking around for anything else.
  229. RosenkrantzGM The spacing of the damage is fairly evenly spaced, though the damage is inconsistent with any sort of force from servitors you are familiar with. This damage required a quick, sudden, and very strong movement. To cut through this, you must assume a biological rather than mechanical agent.
  230. Lucrezia tries to lightly touch the marks.
  231. Neue-Ziel +Well, it isn't from a servitor or any weaponry I'm familiar with.+
  232. Neue-Ziel +Probably from an animal.+
  233. Caerwyn_Beraht frowns. +Or Xeno.+
  234. Makh_Chomun +What matter of xenos or animal would survive for so long on this derelict station?+
  235. Varenus_Grandier +Wow! Can't wait to see what it is that is able to survive here!.+
  236. Lucrezia +A damn tough and dangerous one, I bet.+
  237. Baine_Mort +Even if there is a chance that its still alive we should be on higher alert.+
  238. Neue-Ziel +Let's move.+ He grips tightly on his chainsword.
  239. Lucrezia +Don't need to hear that twice. Where next?+
  240. Varenus_Grandier +Let us head to the end of the corridor.+
  241. Varenus_Grandier leaves the room and heads down the corridor
  242. Neue-Ziel follows behind Grandier.
  243. Baine_Mort follows Granider out of the room and down the corridor.
  244. RosenkrantzGM At the far end of the corridor, the hatch is slightly ajar, a flickering source of light behind it tells you as much.
  245. Makh_Chomun follows along.
  246. Varenus_Grandier +Should we breach and clear?+
  247. Caerwyn_Beraht quickly pivots on the spot and waddles after the navigator. +Slow down, Lord Mutant! My legs can't carry me far when they bear this onus!+
  248. Lucrezia +Using explosives doesn't sound like a good idea for a start.+
  249. RosenkrantzGM The small hub from whence you came, is the only reliable source of light, shining into the corridor. But for a moment, that light is blocked, a quick moving figure appears to walk across it and disappear before you are able to even be sure it was there at all.
  250. Varenus_Grandier +Looks like we are being stalked my friends.+
  251. Makh_Chomun whips around and brings his shotgun up, trying to see what passed behind the group.
  252. Caerwyn_Beraht revs his eviscerator. The lances of light emitting from his lumens stab fruistlessly at the dark. +Where?!+
  253. Makh_Chomun +Keep going, I'll watch our backs, like a butt-crack.+
  254. Lucrezia quickly turns around, hellgun at the ready. +Right...+
  255. Varenus_Grandier +Let's keep moving, I assure you it will find the perfect spot for an ambush.+
  256. Varenus_Grandier takes a serious tone, and loosens the scarf on his forehead slightly
  257. Neue-Ziel +Watch the shadows. Don't shoot until we can clearly see what it is."
  258. Lucrezia +Let's just get this over with.+
  259. Baine_Mort +Understood, but if it charges at us I'm shooting first.+
  260. Caerwyn_Beraht +Scutum de tenebrium lux iustorus. Come out, alien! Face the servants of the God-Emperor and be cleansed!+, Caerwyn nervously screams to nowhere in particular.
  261. Neue-Ziel +Allow me to lead Navigator.+
  262. Varenus_Grandier +That might be best.+
  263. Varenus_Grandier quickly falls next to Chomun
  264. RosenkrantzGM Immediately upon entering this room, you notice the symbols of the Biologis on the wall facing you. It's a large vast space.
  265. Neue-Ziel +By the machine spirit...+
  266. Baine_Mort moves up next to Ziel and switches to his bolt pistol.
  267. Varenus_Grandier +What a adventure...!+
  268. RosenkrantzGM It oversees several cryo-stasis hubs that have been sealed shut. Light sources indicate the possibility that the support systems may still be online.
  269. Makh_Chomun "Neue, what are these?"
  270. Lucrezia keeps an eye on the rear of the group.
  271. Varenus_Grandier +No splitting up, don't even suggest it+
  272. Caerwyn_Beraht +God-Emperor...+ Caerwyn lays a hand upon one of the cryo-statis hubs, gingerly dragging his fingertips across the surface.
  273. Neue-Ziel +I don't know. I need a console station.+
  274. Varenus_Grandier +Shall we set up a perimeter?+
  275. Makh_Chomun runs his lamppack over the surroundings, looking for a console for the Enginseer.
  276. Neue-Ziel +Yes. Also, do not touch anything.+
  277. RosenkrantzGM As you pace throughout the area, you find an overseer's platform.
  278. Neue-Ziel heads towards the command console.
  279. Baine_Mort follows Ziel
  280. Varenus_Grandier continues to scan the room for the being they encountered earlier, pistol at the ready
  281. RosenkrantzGM The systems appear to recognize the identity of a member of the Mechanicus Explorators, and the room comes to life, with the bright upper lights powering on, and the consoles all along the overseer's platform waking up from their dormant state.
  282. Baine_Mort keeps watch as Ziel access the console.
  283. Varenus_Grandier +Priest, better start praying.+
  284. Makh_Chomun paces around the room, keeping an even pace as he does so, his shotgun held at ease.
  285. Lucrezia +What are we dealing with here, Neue?+ Lucrezia asks while keeping her hellgun trained on the door they came in through.
  286. Caerwyn_Beraht jerks his hand away and follows Varenus' advice, dropping his eviscerator to the floor so that he can clasp his hands before him.
  287. RosenkrantzGM The systems inform the loss of 5 of the 'subjects' being preserved due to various failures resulting from the lack of maintenance.
  288. RosenkrantzGM All records identifying the subjects or any of their characteristics have apparently been wiped.
  289. Caerwyn_Beraht +Fide scutum meumium. Ita vereor nihilis sciom.Deduxit me in omnibus actionibus Imperator....Fide scutum meumium . Ita vereor nihilis sciom . Deduxit me in omnibus actionibus Imperator...Ave Imperator, Ave Imperator...+
  290. RosenkrantzGM Once again, the station shifts and shakes, that rough vibration distorting the already delicate grav-plates.
  291. Caerwyn_Beraht cantillates louder, the shaking of the station rattling his nerves.
  292. Varenus_Grandier makes his way to the priest and lays a supporting hand on his shoulder, while also keeping guard of him
  293. Lucrezia tries to stay up on her feet.
  294. RosenkrantzGM The rattling is rougher this time, causing the lights inside the Biologis chamber to flicker.
  295. Neue-Ziel +All records have been wiped. Some sort of experiments by the Magos Biologis.+
  296. Lucrezia +What's up with the shaking?+
  297. Caerwyn_Beraht pats Varenus' hand and stoops down to retrieve his eviscerator. +Thank you, Lord Mutant, I feel much more stable now. I wish we could say the same for this station.+
  298. Varenus_Grandier winces +I wish you wouldn't refer to me as that.+
  299. Baine_Mort +Seems like the station may be falling out of orbit faster then we thought.+
  300. RosenkrantzGM Several of the reports on the death of the subjects speak of trouble with the atmospherics and power conduits. A maintenance rune glows.
  301. Caerwyn_Beraht +What shall I call you then? I mean, your flesh IS a twisted perversion of the God-Emperor's form, is it not?+ Caerwyn sounds more confused than caustic.
  302. Baine_Mort looks at Ziel, +Whats the Magos Biologis?+
  303. Lucrezia +Navigator.+
  304. Varenus_Grandier +Varenus will do just fine.+
  305. Lucrezia +Or Mister Grandier... or Varenus.+
  306. Neue-Ziel +Priestboy, shut your voxhole.+
  307. RosenkrantzGM The shaking stops once more, and the station returns to some stability.
  308. Caerwyn_Beraht nods. +Varenus, I think Lucrezia is trying to get your attention.+
  309. Caerwyn_Beraht turns to the tech-priest. +Be silent yourself, accursed purveyor of material emptiness!+
  310. Neue-Ziel +A subsection of the Adeptus Mechanicus dealing with living matter.+
  311. Lucrezia +I was just saying ways that he could be adressed, Caerwyn. Anyways, what now, Ziel?+
  312. Varenus_Grandier glares at both the men(machine?) and states firmly +This is not the time to argue.+
  313. Makh_Chomun +No it isn't, please calm yourselves my lords, I believe the dark is getting to you.+
  314. Caerwyn_Beraht fumes and turns red for a moment, but Varenus' admonishing remark silences him.
  315. Neue-Ziel +Let's move. We need more information.+
  316. Baine_Mort +I though the Mechanicus only dealt with machines.+
  317. Lucrezia +Where to? Isn't this all there is as far as this hallway is concerned?+
  318. Neue-Ziel +You thought wrong.+
  319. Varenus_Grandier +Search the rooms one at a time?+
  320. Neue-Ziel +Actually...+
  321. Neue-Ziel presses the maintenance rune.
  322. RosenkrantzGM The console identifies a series of generators responsible for the failure, and suggests an alternate power configuration. In so-doing, you get a schematic and some data on the direction and distance of the generators in question.
  323. Neue-Ziel +Well, we have a location of the generators are... Or rather where it might be.+
  324. Baine_Mort +Well lead the way.+
  325. Makh_Chomun +Aye.+
  326. Lucrezia +I'll keep watching the rear.+
  327. Neue-Ziel uneasily leaves the console.
  328. Neue-Ziel +Follow me+
  329. Baine_Mort follows Ziel
  330. Varenus_Grandier follows behind him, whistling softly and keeping his gun ready
  331. Makh_Chomun +Watching the rear, eh sister?+ Makh cackles at that as he follows the others.
  332. Lucrezia follows, staying alert.
  333. Neue-Ziel leads the party back to the circular room.
  334. Lucrezia +Yeah, pretty dull and flat but hey, someone has to do it.+
  335. Varenus_Grandier +Is there a joke here I don't understand?+
  336. RosenkrantzGM The hatch that was once sealed shut, opposite the docking arm is now open...
  337. Neue-Ziel +The generators are north east from this location.+
  338. Caerwyn_Beraht coughs awkwardly. +I would say there are many things being missed right now, Navigator.+
  339. Neue-Ziel leads the team down the northern hallway.
  340. Varenus_Grandier +This silence is maddening.+
  341. Baine_Mort follows Ziel down the northen hallway, bolt pistol at the ready.
  342. Baine_Mort +Well then Varenus, what are you going to do about it then?+
  343. RosenkrantzGM As you pass through the now-opened hatch, the lights behind you flicker and dull down, nearly shutting off.
  344. Varenus_Grandier +Any guesses what we are up against? Xenos? Mutants? Local wildlife?+
  345. Makh_Chomun +Who knows, sure is getting spooky for this Savage.+
  346. RosenkrantzGM In front of you, bright lights reach your senses as a grand rounded corridor now opens up before you.
  347. Neue-Ziel +All of the above?+
  348. Lucrezia +Why are the lights dimming? And I doubt wildlife survives in vacuum.+
  349. Varenus_Grandier +No suggesting splitting up.+
  350. Makh_Chomun +Could be automatic stuff, I know we have those on certain parts of the Aurorae, or spooky failure. I'm not a cogboy.+
  351. Lucrezia +Got that the first time, Varenus.+
  352. Caerwyn_Beraht +Interloucuts sayeth thus: There is strenght in numbers.+
  353. Neue-Ziel +Follow me+
  354. Neue-Ziel leads the group towards the eastern hallway.
  355. Varenus_Grandier +Don't get to far away from each other, I worry of a ambush.+
  356. Baine_Mort follows staying near Ziel
  357. Makh_Chomun keeps pace as they make their way to the next room.
  358. RosenkrantzGM You reach an apparent intersection as two open hatchways flank you on either side.
  359. Caerwyn_Beraht swings his eviscerator warily at the darkness, trying to search for foes, any foes. His nerves are swiftly approaching the edge.
  360. Lucrezia +Hey, Caerwyn, take it easy with that. Take a few deep breaths. And don't cut us by mistake with that chainsword of yours.+
  361. Neue-Ziel +The Emperor is with the faithful.+
  362. Caerwyn_Beraht +Lucrezia, please!+ Caerwyn takes a weak swing. +I know how to use this thing.+
  363. Varenus_Grandier +Caerwyn, did I ever tell you of the greatest priest on the planet serioz?+ he says calmly
  364. Neue-Ziel leads the group towards the eastern entrance.
  365. Lucrezia +I'm just saying to be careful. I'm not planing to die because my oxygen supply got cut.+
  366. RosenkrantzGM This corridor remains almost completely dark. Only a faint glow of yellow-orange light is visible on the far end.
  367. Caerwyn_Beraht The boys sounds a little embarassed. He puffs out his chest and tries to look like the brave Questor he's supposed to be. +You mean the great Preacher Bartok the Burned? Yes, I know the tale. How did it go? Didn't he stick his hands into a burning brazier during a sermon for a full minute?+
  368. Makh_Chomun tries to shine his lamppack down the hallway, to keep some of the dark at bay.
  369. RosenkrantzGM As you walk further and further inside, you realize the corridor is blocked. All manner of objects stacked one upon the other, as if a deliberate barricade.
  370. Varenus_Grandier +Indeed he did, he showed how the pain and suffering of the fire does not affect him, for the Emperor is with him. He then lead a great crusade to execute the vile heretics of the planet.+ he says enthusiastically
  371. Neue-Ziel +Enough with story time. We have a problem.+
  372. Lucrezia +Well, that's interesting...+ Lucrezia comments while taking a quick look. +Was it to keep something in there or something out of there, I wonder?+
  373. Makh_Chomun +We'll have to find out. Neue, shall we put those servitors to use?+
  374. Neue-Ziel +Possibility. Stay Alert.+
  375. Neue-Ziel commands his servitors to clear the path.
  376. Caerwyn_Beraht +This implies intelligence. How...disconcerting.+
  377. RosenkrantzGM The servitors pass by you, and begin to work on the barricade.
  378. RosenkrantzGM Your commbeads screech in a high pitch for what was probably half a second, but to your assaulted ears seemed like at least 10.
  379. RosenkrantzGM At the same time, the servitors cease work, and become unresponsive.
  380. Baine_Mort keeps watch
  381. Lucrezia +What in the Throne was that?!+
  382. RosenkrantzGM On the far end of the corridor, standing on what appears to be an elevated platform, you then spot it... it brings chills down your spine.
  383. RosenkrantzGM The figure of a nude man, standing.
  384. RosenkrantzGM Staring in your direction.
  385. Neue-Ziel +Halt!+
  386. Makh_Chomun +What? Do you see something?+
  387. Varenus_Grandier takes a step towards the figure, calmly trying to get a better glimpse
  388. Makh_Chomun shoulders his shotgun and looks around.
  389. Baine_Mort keeps his bolt pistol at the ready.
  390. Lucrezia turns around to see what made the group stop. At seeing it, she tightens her hold on the hellgun.
  391. Caerwyn_Beraht freezes, more shocked at the figure's apparent nudity on a station with no atmosphere.
  392. Neue-Ziel approaches the figure. He stands next the Navigator.
  393. Makh_Chomun +I wouldn't approach...+ Makh gestures with his shotgun at the figure down the hallway, +that.+
  394. Baine_Mort moves up next to ziel.
  395. Lucrezia +How can it survive in the void like that?+
  396. Varenus_Grandier +No answers.+
  397. RosenkrantzGM YOU SHOULD NOT
  398. RosenkrantzGM The 'man' speaks to you... and you all hear him.
  399. Makh_Chomun +Many manner of things can survive in the void, whatever it is-+
  400. RosenkrantzGM YOU MUST NOT
  401. Makh_Chomun brings his shotgun up in a threatening gesture. +What the feck.+
  402. RosenkrantzGM His mouth moves, his chest rises and falls...
  403. Lucrezia +Who and what are you?+ She asks for all to hear. Hellgun raised and aimed.
  404. Caerwyn_Beraht +Don't speak tot hat creature! It employs foul sorcery, no doubt trying to pollute our minds!+
  405. Varenus_Grandier +Friends, I wish to hear what he says.+
  406. RosenkrantzGM Though terrifying to you all, and deeply disturbing, the Techpriest among you remains logical. The answer he arrives at is simple. The illusion is caused by the simplest possible answer... the sound of his voice is in your ears... rather, your comm-beads.
  407. Neue-Ziel +It's communicating through our comm-bead.+
  408. Caerwyn_Beraht +...oh. So it's not sorcery.+
  409. Varenus_Grandier reasons with himself, forcing himself to believe the techpriest's words
  410. Varenus_Grandier +Thank the Emperor.+
  411. Lucrezia +Still bullshit, though.+
  412. Varenus_Grandier +Wouldn't be ashamed to burn this place to the ground, but orders are orders.+
  413. Makh_Chomun +It's fecking freaky either way.+ Makh says, not moving his aim away from the figure.
  414. Baine_Mort +Could this be one of those servitors?+
  415. RosenkrantzGM It stares blankly at you. It's chest rising and falling as it 'breathes'.
  416. Lucrezia "Orders are orders..." +Hey, you there! Identify yourself!+
  417. Neue-Ziel +Servitor, what's your directive?+
  418. Lucrezia looks at Ziel at the mention of the word 'Servitor'
  419. RosenkrantzGM +Facility must remain sterile. You violate directives set in place by Magos Biologis Amlgren+
  420. Varenus_Grandier +That sounded hostile.+
  421. RosenkrantzGM He speaks into open void, no visible commbead.
  422. Makh_Chomun +That's a servitor?+ Makh shivers at the sight, it's unnerving how unmodified it looks.
  423. RosenkrantzGM It takes a few steps towards you. It's movements clean and graceful as any man's.
  424. Baine_Mort +Seems like it.+ Baine says to Makh.
  425. Lucrezia +Make it stop, Ziel.+
  426. Varenus_Grandier +I might be able to move faster than it.+
  427. Caerwyn_Beraht +I say we slay it whilst we still have the upper hand.+
  428. Varenus_Grandier +We do not know what it is capable of.+
  429. Lucrezia +I agree with Caerwyn.+
  430. Varenus_Grandier +Let the techpriest decide what to do.+
  431. RosenkrantzGM It looks at each of you, separately. Maintaining a disturbing eye contact of a few seconds with each before looking at the next.
  432. RosenkrantzGM It paces forward once more, closing the distance.
  433. Lucrezia +Ziel!+
  434. Makh_Chomun stares right back at it, unnerved but not cowed.
  435. Neue-Ziel +I am Neue-Ziel, Magos Explorator Fleet of the [binary code]. Recognize and verify my clearance and identity.+
  436. Baine_Mort stands ready to shoot the servitor.
  437. RosenkrantzGM At this distance, you can see the movement of every tendon on its neck as it looks around... every breath he takes, every muscle contract.
  438. RosenkrantzGM +Atmosphere has been purged. Life forms have been purged. You violate directives set in place by Magos Biologis Amlgren+
  439. Neue-Ziel +Blast the heretic!+
  440. RosenkrantzGM The effect /is/ unnerving. Even though you know it's only a vox transmission, his voice is louder, the closer he gets.
  441. Lucrezia "Fuck this." Lucrezia then opens up with a burst of hellgun fire.
  442. Varenus_Grandier sighs as he hears the unfire
  443. Varenus_Grandier gunfire*
  444. Makh_Chomun follows up with two shotgun blasts of his own.
  445. Baine_Mort opens fire with his bolt pistol
  446. Neue-Ziel readies his chainsword.
  447. RosenkrantzGM The pale figure takes several rounds, though his form is fragile. His flesh tears easily, though his innards are more resilient. In any case, it only takes a couple of seconds before the deformed remains collapse on the floor.
  448. RosenkrantzGM A stray shot from the bolt pistol sparks at the end of the corridor.
  449. RosenkrantzGM A series of flashing lights appear to glow from that direction.
  450. Caerwyn_Beraht +Oh no...!+
  451. Neue-Ziel +Brace yourself!+
  452. Baine_Mort +Ah Shit!+
  453. Lucrezia curses. +Back to the lander!+ She then tries to pull Caerwyn with her, worried that he'll stay frozen with shock or something.
  454. Makh_Chomun braces himself against the wall. Racking his shotgun as he makes to brace.
  455. Varenus_Grandier stands his ground, attempting to see whats happening
  456. Neue-Ziel braces up against the wall.
  457. Baine_Mort braces against the wall
  458. RosenkrantzGM +This is the Lord-Captain. Do you read?+
  459. Neue-Ziel +Anyone else noticing a lack of explosions?+
  460. Varenus_Grandier +Yes we do, My lord.+
  461. Makh_Chomun dislodges himself from the wall, and cautiously approaches the barricade, and has a look at the gutted servitor.
  462. Varenus_Grandier +Seems that there was a servitor of sorts controlling communications.+
  463. Varenus_Grandier +But that's just my assumption.+
  464. Lucrezia stops at the lack of fire or shaking, her hold on Caerwyn's arm rather tight. +No explosion...?+ She asks, her hold still strong.
  465. RosenkrantzGM +We have had a series of coordinated attacks, we have a macrocannon out of commission and in need of severe repairs. I've lost 2 Bosuns in as many hours, and now the Guard won't let me leave my quarters.+
  466. Varenus_Grandier +Attacks?+
  467. Makh_Chomun +Nothing so far, sister.+
  468. RosenkrantzGM +Acts of sabotage, assassinations+
  469. Varenus_Grandier +What has been attacking?+
  470. Baine_Mort breathes a sigh of relief.
  471. Varenus_Grandier +Ah, I see.+
  472. Lucrezia "Damn it." +Do you wish us to return, my Lord?+
  473. RosenkrantzGM +Negative. I need you to complete that mission with more urgency than I can express.+
  474. RosenkrantzGM +If our weapons are being targeted, it is because someone doesn't want us to be able to fight back.+
  475. Varenus_Grandier moves to inspect the /thing/
  476. Lucrezia +We are on it, sir. Station is a tad larger than we thought.+
  477. Baine_Mort +If you find the saboteurs my lord captain, let me have a word with them to teach them that they can't mess with my guns and get away with it.+
  478. Caerwyn_Beraht respectuflly dislodges Lucrezia's hand from his arm. He mouths a "thank you" before rejoining the rest of the group. He starts to inspect the freakish servitor as well
  479. Lucrezia slowly releases her hold on Caerwyn. +Sorry about that, Caerwyn.+
  480. Neue-Ziel +Don't touch it, Grandier.+
  481. Lucrezia +Right, on to the generator. I want to be back on the Aurorae on the double.+ She then heads onwards, a new sense of urgency in her motions.
  482. Makh_Chomun moves past the servitor and heads down towards the generator room. +Burning time here, let's get a move on people. Our brethren are dieing on the Aurorae while we faff around.+
  483. Baine_Mort +You and me both Lucrezia.+ Baine Moves on down the hall following Chomun.
  484. RosenkrantzGM As you advance forward on the dark room, you suddenly realize what it is your eyes are looking at. Through the darkness it all comes together...
  485. RosenkrantzGM The platform upon which the servitor once stood is a vast control center.
  486. RosenkrantzGM Flanked on either side by generator rooms, and overlooking directly in front of it, a series of complicated pipes and storage tanks.
  487. Makh_Chomun an awe-struck whistle escapes Makh, for everyone to hear over the comms. +Lookit the size of that thing.+
  488. Neue-Ziel heads towards the control center.
  489. Lucrezia +That... was not what I was expecting.+
  490. Varenus_Grandier "I'm sick of technology."
  491. Lucrezia +Ziel, see what you can do with all this, if you please.+
  492. Baine_Mort +I though this place would be smaller.+
  493. Lucrezia keeps an eye on the hallway.
  494. Makh_Chomun +Looked pretty massive from the outside.+ Makh comments as he tops off his shotgun.
  495. RosenkrantzGM The consoles are full of information. From what you can gather, the airlock was flushed on purpose, completely depressurizing the station. The rest of the generators are now offline either because their power sources have been exhausted, or because the solar energy panels connecting to them have been damaged. The station is in bad shape, but it could still run at some capacity for another year or two before completely breaking down.
  496. Makh_Chomun +What have you got to work with Neue?+ Makh approaches behind the Enginseer.
  497. RosenkrantzGM The augery will require some repairs, but the datavaults are intact. You can access the already-collected data from the system with ease.
  498. Neue-Ziel +Generators are offline due to damage to the solar panels. This station still has enough preserved power for about another year.+
  499. RosenkrantzGM The system features six planets, one of which is a Gas Giant; an asteroid belt just beyond Faith's orbit, another in the Outer reaches; and a gravitational anomaly between Faith and the Outer reaches.
  500. RosenkrantzGM The system prompts you to update the information.
  501. Neue-Ziel uses the console to start pressuring the station.
  502. RosenkrantzGM There is a sudden vibration coming from the large tanks in front of you as the system comes to life.
  503. Neue-Ziel connects his data-slate to the console and starts data mining.
  504. RosenkrantzGM Two planets lie in the inner-core, one planet is cataloged - Faith - as being a haven, it has a moon and a large orbiting asteroid, as well as the station.
  505. RosenkrantzGM The inner most planet has a lesser moon around it.
  506. RosenkrantzGM Surprisingly, the inner most planet does contain a thin, pure atmosphere.. The rest are either without an atmosphere, or with toxic components corrosive to life.
  507. RosenkrantzGM Faith itself is deeply studied, registering major abundances in industrial metals, exotic and ornamental minerals, and useful radioactive material.
  508. RosenkrantzGM The variety of plant and animal life is listed in a seemingly endless library, with numerous notes by the biologis adepts that once studied the planet from the station.
  509. RosenkrantzGM Just as the data comes streaming in, a green rune lights up apparently from the biologis stasis chambers.
  510. RosenkrantzGM ...damaged by the firefight, the command console appears to have started - and now completed - the reanimation process of its specimens.
  511. Neue-Ziel +We have trouble.+
  512. Baine_Mort +Fuck, what is it?+
  513. Varenus_Grandier +What?+
  514. RosenkrantzGM The console then reads full repressurization and clean atmospheric conditions on board the station.
  515. Makh_Chomun +What kind?+
  516. Neue-Ziel +The specimens from the cyro-chambers are 'alive'.+
  517. Varenus_Grandier +Good.+
  518. RosenkrantzGM More systems come online, as the generators around you power on.
  519. Makh_Chomun +Alive? Are they dangerous?+
  520. Lucrezia +What are the specimens?+
  521. RosenkrantzGM +Excellent work! Excellent work!+
  522. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm is audibly happy.
  523. Neue-Ziel +Get your guns!+
  524. RosenkrantzGM +We have comms to Faith as clear as could be!+
  525. Neue-Ziel +Lord-Captain, we have problems.+
  526. Lucrezia +Uh, sir. We may have some problems.+
  527. RosenkrantzGM +We appear to be bouncing auspex data off the station, too... remarkable Master Ziel, incredible work!+
  528. Baine_Mort puts away his bolt pistol for his lasgun.
  529. Makh_Chomun leans on one of the consoles, resting his shotgun on his lap.
  530. RosenkrantzGM +Augery is linked... commencing full range scans.+
  531. Neue-Ziel +Also, the station is pressurized and atmosphere is clean.+
  532. Makh_Chomun +You're sure?+
  533. RosenkrantzGM +Incredible... she sees everything!+
  534. RosenkrantzGM Then, you hear it... a horrible gut-wrenching screech echo from afar in the station.
  535. Varenus_Grandier turns and pulls his hellpistol.
  536. Neue-Ziel readies his hellgun.
  537. Baine_Mort +Oh Shit.+
  538. RosenkrantzGM +Emperor have mercy... it's a graveyard out there...+
  539. Baine_Mort readies his lasgun.
  540. Lucrezia +Graveyard...+
  541. Lucrezia +Did he say a fucking graveyard?+
  542. Neue-Ziel +Yes.+
  543. Lucrezia readies her hellgun and somewhat nervously scans the hallway still.
  544. RosenkrantzGM You hear crashing and thumping echoing through the corridors.
  545. Caerwyn_Beraht stows his eviserator on hsi back and brings up his slung flamer into his grasp. +Does anybody see anything?+
  546. Makh_Chomun unclasps his helmet with a hiss. Makh then takes a deep breath.
  547. Makh_Chomun "Not the worst smell I've ever had to experience."
  548. RosenkrantzGM At the end of the corridor, a figure passes right by, the footsteps solid, and many...
  549. RosenkrantzGM It is quick, too quick to get a good look.
  550. Lucrezia +I'm saw something!+
  551. Makh_Chomun "Hope you've got that flamer ready, Caerwyn."
  552. Baine_Mort +Same.+
  553. Makh_Chomun shoulders his shotgun and moves up.
  554. RosenkrantzGM +Finalize your work there and return to the Aurorae as soon as you can, that's an order.+ Wilhelm's voice is now much more solemn.
  555. Caerwyn_Beraht +Ego ignem, satisium occideris eos. Do not worry gentlemen.+
  556. Lucrezia stays near the door to the control room.
  557. Caerwyn_Beraht stalks over to Lucrezia's side and peers through the door.
  558. Lucrezia +I say we go back to the Aurorae and ask for permission to bring more men.+
  559. Makh_Chomun +My lord, something has been released on this station. Once the station became online, Neue released something....+
  560. RosenkrantzGM +Released.... what?+
  561. Neue-Ziel removes his data-slate from the console.
  562. Makh_Chomun +Whatever it is, it doesn't sound friendly.+
  563. Neue-Ziel +Something heretical.+
  564. Neue-Ziel "Let's move."
  565. Makh_Chomun sticks his head out of the doorway, looking around.
  566. RosenkrantzGM You hear the creature walk... close.
  567. RosenkrantzGM But its steps are muffled, not the echoes of steps on the open corridor.
  568. Lucrezia looks up for a moment or two, just in case. +When are we leaving?+
  569. RosenkrantzGM The creature appears to be moving around the station's vents.
  570. Neue-Ziel checks to see the console to make sure it is still transmitting and says +Preferably now.+
  571. Baine_Mort moves over to Makh with his back against the wall.
  572. Neue-Ziel follows up to Chomun with his hellgun ready.
  573. RosenkrantzGM From directly above you, you hear the stomping, violent tearing away as the creature tries to punch through the vents.
  574. Makh_Chomun "I'll take point." Makh says, he reseals his helmet before moving down the hallway.
  575. Baine_Mort follows Chomun
  576. Lucrezia fires a burst up. +Everyone to the cutter!+
  577. Neue-Ziel starts following Chomun.
  578. Varenus_Grandier follows close behind, hellpistol ready
  579. Makh_Chomun keeps his weapon shouldered as he moves down the hallway at a brisk pace.
  580. Lucrezia then tries to retreat with everyone else.
  581. Caerwyn_Beraht pushes to the front, a tongue of pilot flame flickering in his flamer's maw.
  582. RosenkrantzGM As you reach the hatch opening to the docking control panels, you find the creature sitting atop the central control panel.
  583. Makh_Chomun keeps Caerwyn to his right, just a couple paces in front of him, keeping the man withing his cone of fire.
  584. RosenkrantzGM Immediately behind him is your only exit.
  585. Caerwyn_Beraht lifts his flamer, and with a frenzied yell he pulls the trigger. A roaring gout of flame splashing across the creature.
  586. RosenkrantzGM The horrifying beast rears up and screeches at the incoming flames, and bolts out back into the corridor connecting to the biologis stasis chambers.
  587. Makh_Chomun +Go, Go, Go!+
  588. Baine_Mort keeps running for the Gun Cutter
  589. Varenus_Grandier bolts forward
  590. Caerwyn_Beraht continues to move forward, guffawing all the way. +By fire be cleansed, you uncouth cur!+
  591. Neue-Ziel runs with the group towards the exit.
  592. Makh_Chomun brings up the rear, ready to keep the beast back in-case it rears it's head again.
  593. Lucrezia keeps her gun ready to fire at it until she was relieved by Makh. She then rushes for the cutter.
  594. Baine_Mort enters the Gun Cutter
  595. Neue-Ziel +Move it, people!+
  596. Varenus_Grandier +No, lets just stop and let ourselves die.+
  597. Makh_Chomun once he's sure everyone is inside, Makh closes the hatch to the guncutter.
  598. Lucrezia scans the insides of the guncutter while it is prepared to leave.
  599. Baine_Mort makes his way to the pilot seat and prepares the Gun Cutter to disengage from the station.
  600. Neue-Ziel heads toward tech-priest station.
  601. Baine_Mort +Everyone strap in.+
  602. Makh_Chomun wordlessly straps in, in the passenger bay.
  603. Lucrezia straps herself in.
  604. Neue-Ziel sits down and straps himself.
  605. Caerwyn_Beraht jumps in and straps himself down. He's exuberant, pumped by his triumph against the creature. He checks his gear before settling in his seat.
  606. Varenus_Grandier sits and straps himself in
  607. Baine_Mort disengages the Gun Cutter from the station.
  608. Baine_Mort sets course for the Aurorae.
  609. RosenkrantzGM The Gun-cutter blasts away from the station. Now, as you look back, however, it is visible... illuminated and alive.
  610. Makh_Chomun unclasps his helmet, wiping a bit of sweat from his brow. +Well that was fun, anyone else have fun?+
  611. Varenus_Grandier +I'm going to bed and never getting up.+
  612. Baine_Mort +Define fun Chomun?+
  613. Makh_Chomun +Exploring derelict space stations, shooting creepy servitors, running from massive horrifying creatures?+
  614. RosenkrantzGM +Hangar clearance granted. Welcome home, Master Mort.+
  615. Neue-Ziel makes the sign of Omnissiah and says +Praise the Emperor. Praise the Omnissiah. Praise the Emperor...+
  616. Baine_Mort +Thanks, it will be good to be back.+
  617. RosenkrantzGM The Aurorae's bay doors open up, and the Cutter's place in the Lord-Captain's hangar is open and ready for landing.
  618. Baine_Mort maneuver the Gun Cutter into the hangar and engages the landing gears.
  619. RosenkrantzGM +Maglocks activated. Power down.+
  620. Baine_Mort +Understood, powering down now.+
  621. RosenkrantzGM You are taken to see the Lord-Captain almost immediately once you disembark.
  622. RosenkrantzGM The security onboard the ship is more than you're used to, save perhaps when the call to Stations is sounded.
  623. RosenkrantzGM Especially leading up to the Bridge, there is not a single soul wandering the halls without an escort.
  624. RosenkrantzGM Once you're in the bridge, the escort leaves you by the entrance.
  625. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Welcome back. Come, let me show you something."
  626. Baine_Mort nodes and follows Wilhelm
  627. Neue-Ziel gets out of the guncutter and kisses the floor. He says "Praise the Omnissiah, Praise the Holy vessel..."
  628. Neue-Ziel gets up and follows Mort.
  629. Lucrezia walks into the bridge and salutes, smiling. "All back and accounted for, sir. How fare things over here?"
  630. Makh_Chomun unclasps his helm and follows the Lord-Captain with a nod.
  631. RosenkrantzGM A holo display fires up on the bridge. A model of the system is displayed before you, with the data gathered from the monitor station.
  632. Baine_Mort takes off his helm.
  633. RosenkrantzGM "Internally, we're still in containment, Lady Lucrezia, but what you were able to gather changes one's perspective on things. Let me bring your attention here," he presses a few runes, making the map focus near the gas giant, "Here, on the outer rim..."
  634. RosenkrantzGM Four red markers blink in an area of roughly 1000km.
  635. RosenkrantzGM "The graveyard..." he introduces.
  636. Lucrezia tries to take a closer look. "Ships, I pressume?"
  637. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich speaks up, then, "Four ship hulls. Imperial... ancient."
  638. Lucrezia turns towards Heinrich. "Do you have any ideas on what classes?"
  639. Makh_Chomun quirks an eye-brow at that. "Future opportunities for expansion?"
  640. Neue-Ziel "Interesting."
  641. RosenkrantzGM "We have identified the hull of a frigate and one of a light-cruiser tonnage... the rest are indistinct, as the station's systems appear to be weak in the sector, on account of the gravitational anomaly."
  642. RosenkrantzGM "And the lack of maintenance or repairs for over 1000 years," adds Wilhelm.
  643. Makh_Chomun "I guess we'll need to claim them, make them ship-shape, eh?"
  644. Lucrezia "I see. I'd like to request to be in the group that will do the first look. Anything else we have picked up? Also, we might need some extra lasguns to secure that station, my Lord."
  645. RosenkrantzGM "You mean... you didn't clear the voidstation?" Heinrich raises an eyebrow.
  646. Lucrezia "With all due respect. I don't think we were equipped for it."
  647. RosenkrantzGM "Aggressive, your servitors?" Wilhelm inquires of Ziel.
  648. Lucrezia "Our priority was to get the augurs up and transmitting."
  649. Lucrezia "And we did that."
  650. Lucrezia "But right now my main concern lies in the fact that some of our guns are down and we have a sabotour almost surely softening us up for visitors."
  651. Neue-Ziel "My personal servitors were destroyed... the station 's servitors only responded to the Magos Amlgren. He's been missing for quite some time."
  652. Makh_Chomun "Not to mention what was released after Ziel got the station online again."
  653. Neue-Ziel "That was out of my control."
  654. RosenkrantzGM "Ah, yes... that." Wilhelm remembers. "Tell me again what you released?"
  655. Neue-Ziel "The data was erased on purpose. Someone didn't want us to find those 'things'. The data mining may reveal something."
  656. RosenkrantzGM "Makh?" Wilhelm asks impatiently.
  657. Neue-Ziel "My guess? Some sort of twisted experiment on the inhabitants of the planet."
  658. RosenkrantzGM "I see... disturbing. We will send a purge team once the internal situation is resolved, or at least more in control...." he nods.
  659. Makh_Chomun "Apologies my lord, I was away for a moment. Whatever it is, it's dangerous and should simply be destroyed. I'll lead the team personally if you wish."
  660. Neue-Ziel "We have sensitive data aboard this ship. I think eliminating the spies should be top priority before we do anything else."
  661. RosenkrantzGM "I agree," Wilhelm concurs. "Get your rest, and report to me at First Watch tomorrow."
  662. Lucrezia nods and departs.
  663. Baine_Mort nodes and retires to his quarters.
  664. Neue-Ziel heads towards his office.
  665. Makh_Chomun salutes and goes to his quarters to wash and relax.
