Hinano, happy 19th birthday.
You are so lucky to have all these people celebrate you on your birthday.
I’d like to thank the birthday committee, the staff, the fans, and the members for organizing such a wonderful birthday event.
It’s already been one year since the auditions.
Last year was a tough year for you and us as a family, wasn’t it?
The fact that Papa suddenly had a stroke in May must have been so shocking for you, since you were so close to him despite the fact that you were a teenager.

I am sorry I wasn’t able to completely focus on you, even though you were in your 3rd year of high school, a time when you had to choose your future career.
You had already decided that you wouldn’t go to college, since you hated studying (audience laughs), but you hadn’t found anything you wanted to do, and you were struggling to choose your career.
I suggested becoming an idol, since you loved dancing and singing, but you weren’t too keen on that idea at first, remember?
But when Papa started recovering and was able to watch TV, you decided to audition for SKE saying, “I wonder if Papa will be happy if I appeared on TV?” When you were chosen, I felt like it was fate.

After you joined SKE, you were busy with lessons and personal practice every day, while waiting to perform in the shows. When you hurt your ankle amidst all that, I urged  you to go to the hospital.
I was taken by surprised by your strong will when you said, “I won’t go to the hospital, because I don’t want to be told that it’s a stress fracture or something and have to cancel my lessons until it heals.”
Once you began SHOWROOM, I was surprised once again by your lack of general education (audience laughs).

Well, during middle school and high school, every day for 6 years, you would come home and fall asleep exhausted from club activities, so I guess it can’t be helped. I’d like to think that thanks to that, you’ve acquired resilience.
But as you get older, general education will become a necessity, so please study up on that little by little from now.
Sometimes, when you face obstacles, you say, “I’m not meant to be an idol.” But seeing you dance with such a bright smile, or doing SHOWROOM with such joy, or memorizing your dance routine and positioning perfectly, even though you couldn’t memorize anything in school (audience laughs), makes me think that you were meant to be an idol.

Although it’s unfortunate that Papa now lives with a disability, when he sees your performances, he looks so happy and nods many times.
When he was healthy, he had no interest in idols, but now he watches DMM every day. During Overture, he calls out, “Wah! Sore, sore, sore!” so naturally. He is a true SKE otaku now.
I am grateful that ever  since you joined SKE, you have been getting an array of jobs. Always be thankful for that and keep up your hard work.
I can tell that the fans who support you are very kind and give you so much power, from watching SHOWROOM. Please support Hinano from now on too.
Also, to the seniors who care for Hinano and give her kind words, to the staff, to the 9th generation members who’ve been good friends to her, please look after her from now on too.
Hinano, we are so proud to have you as a daughter. We will always be rooting for you.
