background :

Daiyu was born in the small town of Pai in Thailand. The first language that her parents decided to teach her was Mandarin, as it was the first language that they spoke as children and they liked to keep traditions. However, there weren't many people who spoke Mandarin in Pai, so she struggled to make friends as a young child. Her parents spoke both fluent Thai so eventually they decided to teach it to her to avoid the chances of their daughter being lonely until she left the country or met someone else who spoke the same language as her. They also taught her English and Korean.

Ever since she was a child, she had always been interested in performing arts. She had watched Billy Elliott on Broadway when her and her family were taking a small holiday to The USA. Billy Elliott had fascinated her and she made a decision to become a performing artist, especially the music and dance side of it.

When she was 16, she decided to move to Korea and Audition for JYP to become a trainee in hopes of becoming a kpop idol.

personality :

Determined: Daiyu will never give up on things. Her parents always taught her to stick to her goals and never quit. During her time as a performer, she went through hardships but was never prepared to stop because of that.

A bit of a perfectionist: She loves it when everything is perfect. This trait was developed when she was a performer as her teachers and coaches always made her practise until her performance was perfected to the best that it could be. Soon, she adapted to their ways and decided that she liked perfection in performances.

Picky: This trait sort of links in to her being a perfectionist. She is really picky when it comes to how a performance looks. She can quickly identify if something is off and she doesn't like it if it's not perfect and correct.

Mature: She isn't the sort of person who messes around. If the girls are messing around, she will always be the one to tell them to stop. However, if they're having fun, she won't stop them. She acts a bit like a mother or an older sister to the other members even though she's not one of the oldest.

Caring: She really loves the members and she hates to see them sad or hurt. She treats the members like they're her own blood and her family. Yes, she may nag them a lot, but she loves the members dearly and they know that well.

Not easily amused: Daiyu isn't really amused by things that people would normally find amusing or funny. She manages to stay straight faced in hilarious situations as she was taught that it was unprofessional during her performing times.

how did you meet : Initially, they met during the filming of the Pretty U M/V. They spoke for a brief moment and exchanged numbers because we seemed to get along well (they did this in private so the person who started the rumor about her and Jun didn't see (she didn't know about it at the time)). After he heard about the rumor between her and Jun, he started to message her, feeling somewhat jealous. One day, they decided to meet up in private and Minghao confessed his love to her.

type of relationship : They both act extremely professional in public and they both pretend that they're not dating and they're just friends. However, when they're alone together, they're very close and cute and love to give eachother cuddles and small kisses.

do you get caught? : Pledis finds out about their relationship after suspecting something. However, they accept it. His personality when he hangs around the members of Seventeen is different to when he hangs around with Daiyu alone. When he's with the members, he is more mature and quiet. However, when he's with Daiyu, he's cuddly and soft.
