Good things about tattoos:
self-satisfaction
tattoos have personality
tattoos look cool
If a person has courage, he can get a tattoo.
tattoos have significant meaning
tattoos can cover scars or skin lesions
If done by an expert with a good drawing, tattoos can be beautiful.
tattoos can be done to remember somebody
someone with tattoos shows belief in himself (= self-confidence)

Bad things about tattoos:
changes the appearance of your body
tattoos can cause skin problems
unclean equipment can cause infection and disease
tattoos can be painful if you get an MRI
tattoos can make it difficult to detect cancerous growths
tattoos are not aesthetic (they are ugly)
you can’t donate blood for a time after you get a tattoo
you may regret it later
tattoos are permanent - you can’t change your mind later (it’s expensive to remove them)
if you gain or lose a lot of weight, many tattoos won’t look good any more
tattoos are still not widely accepted in many places
(people will think badly of you, it may be difficult to get a job, etc.)
it’s possible to get a tattoo in another language that means the incorrect thing
