Full Metal Five


(Scene picks up on the previous map screen where it left off.)

ジャンギャル
「やはり、ボルテスVの動きがいつもと違う。
何らかの理由でパイロットが変わったと見て
間違いない」
Jangal: Yes, it looks like Voltes V is moving differently than usual. They must have changed pilots for some reason or another.

ジャンギャル
「さすれば、これは彼奴を葬る絶好の機会だ!」
Jangal: And that makes this the perfect opportunity to bury it!

テッサ
「敵はこのボルテスVを操っているのが
正規パイロットではないと
気付いたのかも知れませんね」
Tessa: The enemy may have realized that Voltes V isn’t being used by its usual pilots.

クルツ
「それで畳み掛けに来たってわけか…!」
Kurz: I guess that’s why they aren’t letting up on us...!

テッサ
「しかし、形勢を逆転させるチャンスでもあります」
Tessa: However, this also gives us a chance to turn this battle around.

テッサ
「マオ曹長、沖にいるデ・ダナンに
巡航ミサイルを発射するよう連絡を。
ターゲットはスカールークです」
Tessa: Master Sergeant Mao, contact the Danaan out on the open sea and order them to launch cruise missiles. Their target is the Skullrook.

カリーニン
「艦長、トマホークでの撃墜は困難では?」
Kalinin: Won’t it be difficult for Tomahawks to shoot it down, Captain?

テッサ
「ダナンの攻撃はあくまで援護に過ぎません。
本命はこのボルテスの一撃です」
Tessa: The Danaan’s attack will only be to provide us support. Voltes will be dealing the real attack.

宗介
「天空剣ですね」
Sousuke: The Heaven Sword, you mean?

テッサ
「ええ」
Tessa: Yes.

浜口博士
「いけません、リスクが高すぎます!
ボルテスの武器の中で最も習熟を必要とする上に
斬り込むタイミングとポイントが…」
Dr. Hamaguchi: You can’t, it’s too risky! Of all of Voltes’s attacks, that one requires the most skill in handling the timing of the sword strike and the point of which--

テッサ
「今のボルテスには、
それをカバーするための物が用意されています」
Tessa: Voltes has something to compensate for that now.

カリーニン
「なるほど、あれならば有効です」
Kalinin: Ah, you mean that. Yes, that should prove effective here.

浜口博士
「しかし、最終調整が…!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: But, the final adjustments on it--!

テッサ
「なんとか使えるようにしていただけませんか?
私達が勝利を得るために」
Tessa: Could you please find some way to make it work? We’ll need it in order to win.

浜口博士
「わ、わかりました」
Dr. Hamaguchi: V-Very well.

テッサ
「サガラ軍曹、聞いての通りです。
もうしばらく時間を稼いでください」
Tessa: You heard him, Sergeant Sagara. Please buy us some time.

宗介
「了解!」
Sousuke: Roger!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when 4 enemies are defeated.)

ジャンギャル
「ふん、誰が代わりに乗っておるのか知らんが、
今までよく持ち堪えたと褒めてやろう!」
Jangal: Hmph, I don’t know who those replacement pilots are, but I must commend them for lasting as long as they have!

ジャンギャル
「だが、ここまでだ!
このスカールークでとどめを刺してやるわ!」
Jangal: But that ends now! I’ll finish you off with my Skullrook!

(Jangal moves closer to Voltes V.)

宗介
「来たか…!」
Sousuke: Here he comes!

一平
「おい、やばいぞ!」
Ippei: Hey, this is looking bad!

大次郎
「こんままでは負けてしまう!」
Daijiro: They’re gonna go down at this rate!

健一
「いや、彼らは諦めちゃいない」
Kenichi: No, they haven’t given up yet!

めぐみ
「ええ、私達が戦っている時と同じように…!」
Megumi: That’s right, it’s just like when we’re out there fighting...!

健一
「並のパイロットじゃ、
初めて乗ったボルテスであそこまで戦えない。
相良軍曹たちはきっと勝つ」
Kenichi: No ordinary pilots could have fought as hard as they have on their first time in Voltes. Sergeant Sagara and the others will win.

健一
「信じるんだ、彼らを。
そして、俺達のボルテスVを…!」
Kenichi: I believe in them. And I believe in our Voltes V...!

ジャンギャル
「フハハハ!
このスカールークを目の前にして、
すくみ上がったか!」
Jangal: Mwahaha! Tremble now that the Skullrook has appeared before you!

マオ
「…あれだけの大質量に正面から突っ込まれたら、
ひとたまりもないわね」
Mao: ...Yeah, we’re done for if something that big hits us head on.

クルツ
「ああ、かすめられただけでも大事故だぜ」
Kurz: Hell, just getting grazed by it would cause some serious harm.

カリーニン
「だが、あれだけの大きさ…
軌道を見切るのは容易い。
やれるな、サガラ軍曹?」
Kalinin: But given its great size, its trajectory is easily predicted. You can handle that, can’t you, Sergeant Sagara?

宗介
「もちろんです」
Sousuke: Of course.


(Scene ends.)

(Next scene picks up where it left off.)


ジャンギャル
「さあ、覚悟するがいい!」
Jangal: Now, prepare yourselves!

マオ
「トマホークが来たわよ!」
Mao: Tomahawks incoming!

ジャンギャル
「むっ、ミサイルか!叩き落とせ!」
Jangal: Hm, missiles!? Take them down!

(Jangal is hit by the missiles and is down to 75% HP.)

ジャンギャル
「ええい、悪あがきを!
勝敗は既に見えておる!ミサイルで
このスカールークを沈められると思うな!」
Jangal: Agh, a futile struggle! This match is already decided! Missiles can never hope to bring down the Skullrook!

宗介
「だが、有効な牽制となる」
Sousuke: But it was effective at keeping you at bay.

ジャンギャル
「ましてや、にわか仕込みのパイロットなどに!」
Jangal: It means little when against such an inexperienced pilot!

テッサ
「サガラ軍曹、
正規パイロットではないと舐めてかかっている敵に
目に物見せてあげましょう!」
Tessa: Sergeant Sagara, show the enemy that you aren’t just some average pilot!

宗介
「了解です、大佐殿!」
Sousuke: Roger that, Madam Captain!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when Jangal falls below 50% HP.)

ジャンギャル
「ふん、ちまちまと攻撃したところで!」
Jangal: Hmph, such meager attacks!

一平
「こうなったら、天空剣しかねえぜ!」
Ippei: Their only chance is to use the Heaven Sword!

日吉
「だけど、あれは使う時に隙ができちゃうよ!
いくら宗介さんでも、健一兄ちゃんみたいには…!」
Hiroshi: But he’ll be wide open when he tries to use it! He’s not like Kenichi...!

健一
「いや、シミュレーション訓練をやっていたんだ、
きっと出来る…!」
Kenichi: No, he’ll pull it off, he’s had training in the simulator...!

浜口博士
「テスタロッサ大佐、準備が整いました!
今からデータを転送します!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Preparations are complete, Captain Testarossa! We’re sending the data now!

テッサ
「ありがとうございます!」
Tessa: Thank you very much!

左近寺博士
「相良軍曹、気迫だ!気迫を剣に込めろ!」
Dr. Sakonji: Use your spirit, Sergeant Sagara! Put your very spirit into the sword!

宗介
「了解!」
Sousuke: Roger!

(Sousuke uses Heaven Sword V-Slash on Jangal. A battle animation begins.)

テッサ
「一気に畳み掛けます!」
Tessa: Don’t give them an inch!

宗介
「ミサイルの雨をお見舞いしてやる」
Sousuke: I’ll rain down missiles on you!

クルツ
「こっからだ!」
Kurz: Here we go!

宗介
「天空ぅぅぅ剣!!」
Sousuke: HEAVEEEEEN SWORD!!

宗介
「天空剣!Vの字斬りぃぃぃ!!」
Sousuke: HEAVEN SWORD! V-SLAAAAAASH!!

ジャンギャル
「おのれぇーっ!」
Jangal: Curse youuuu!

(The battle animation ends. Jangal has less than 5% HP left.)

ジャンギャル
「く、口惜しや!
にわか仕込みの連中に後れを取るとは!」
Jangal: Th-This is infuriating! I can’t believe I was bested by a bunch of greenhorns!

クルツ
「ただの付け焼き刃じゃねえんだな、これが」
Kurz: Hey, we aren’t just a couple of stand-ins, you know.

ジャンギャル
「ぬうう!この屈辱、忘れはせんぞ!!」
Jangal: Ngh! I will not forget this humiliation!!

(Jangal leaves the map.)

カリーニン
「…敵の指揮官は、引き際を心得ているようだな」
Kalinin: ...It appears the enemy commander knows when it’s time to give up.

健一
「浜口博士、さっきのガトリングミサイルは…」
Kenichi: Dr. Hamaguchi, those gatling missiles from before...?

浜口博士
「速射性能は高いものの、命中精度に
課題を抱えていたあの武器について
テスタロッサ大佐に相談し…」
Dr. Hamaguchi: That was the weapon I had previously discussed with Captain Testarossa, capable of rapid-firing missiles but lacking in accuracy...

浜口博士
「その結果、試験的にボルトボンバーの
ミサイル発射管へジャベリン…超高速ミサイルを
装填することになった」
Dr. Hamaguchi: The result of our discussion lead to loading the Volt Bomber’s missile launch tubes with Javelins--ultra-high speed missiles--as an experiment.

健一
「なるほど…」
Kenichi: So that’s what it was...

テッサ
「皆さん、お疲れ様でした。
ビッグファルコンに帰還しましょう」
Tessa: Thank you for all of your hard work, everyone. Let’s return to the Big Falcon.

クルツ
「やれやれ、これでようやく肩の荷を降ろせるぜ」
Kurz: Sheesh, finally I can get this weight off my shoulders.

宗介
(気迫を剣に込めろ、か。
確かに、効果はあったような気がする)
Sousuke: (Put my spirit into the sword, huh. Well, it certainly seems to have worked.)

宗介
(あの時の…
ラムダ・ドライバがそうだったようにな)
Sousuke: (It’s almost like before... Like with the Lamda Driver.)


ビッグファルコン格納庫
Big Falcon – Hanger


浜口博士
「テスタロッサ大佐、あなたの判断のおかげで、
このビッグファルコンとボルテスVが
失われずに済みました」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Captain Testarossa, it is thanks to your judgment that we did not lose the Big Falcon or Voltes V.

テッサ
「いえ、ボアザン軍を撃退することができたのは、
優れた性能を持つボルテスVと、
私の優秀な部下達が揃っていてくれたからです」
Tessa: No, we were able to fight off the Boazanian forces due to Voltes V’s spectacular performance and the abilities of my subordinates.

大次郎
「じゃどん、本当てすごかった」
Daijiro: That was really amazing.

日吉
「うん。初めてのボルテスVを
あれだけ乗りこなしちゃうなんてね」
Hiroshi: Yeah. I can’t believe you handled Voltes V that well on your first try.

一平
「もっとも、俺達に比べりゃ
まだまだだけどな」
Ippei: Of course, you weren’t as good as us though.

クルツ
「そんなの当たり前だっつーの。
即席の面子で戦ったんだから、
もっと褒めてほしいぐらいだぜ」
Kurz: Well yeah, that should be obvious. We were flying by the seat of our pants out there, so I’d like a little bit more recognition for it.

マオ
「ボルテスも悪くはなかったけど、
やっぱり、あたし達は乗り慣れたASで戦うのが
一番しっくりくるわ」
Mao: Voltes isn’t bad, but we feel more comfortable with the ASes we’ve gotten so used to after all this time.

めぐみ
「結果的に今回の戦闘で
ボルテスVに私達以外が乗った時の
貴重なデータが取れましたね」
Megumi: In the end, we ended up with some valuable data about how Voltes V would fight when not piloted by ourselves.

カリーニン
「これからの戦いに
そのデータが有効活用されることを願っている」
Kalinin: I hope the data will be of use to you in the future.

左近寺博士
「ええ、お約束しましょう」
Dr. Sakonji: Oh yes, I assure you it will.

宗介
「剛健一、ボルトクルーザーのシート、
君に返すぞ」
Sousuke: I’m returning the Volt Cruiser’s seat to you, Kenichi Go.

健一
「ああ…相良軍曹、今回はありがとう」
Kenichi: Right. ...Thank you for today, Sergeant Sagara.

宗介
「礼には及ばない。
俺は自分の任務を果たしただけに過ぎない」
Sousuke: No need to thank me. I was merely fulfilling my duty.

健一
「でも、さすがは戦闘のスペシャリストだ。
君の戦い方、参考にさせてもらうよ」
Kenichi: Still, you really are a combat specialist. The way you fought today makes it obvious.

宗介
「いや、ボルテスVの操縦に関して
俺達はアマチュアもいいところだ。
専門家は君達の方だろう」
Sousuke: No, when it comes to Voltes V, I’d say I’m an amateur. You all are the specialists.

健一
「とは言え、天空剣を使った時の気迫は
なかなかのものだったよ。君は、案外
スーパーロボット向きかも知れないな」
Kenichi: I have to say, I was really impressed with your spirit when you used the Heaven Sword. You know, you may actually be more suited to be a Super Robot pilot.

宗介
「ふっ…覚えておこう」
Sousuke: Heh... I’ll keep that in mind.
