Cashew cheese sauce!~

  1. 2 cups raw cashews

  3. Boil water in a kettle, then pour over the cashews in a large pot.
  4. Allow to soak for ten minutes, then drain.

  6. In food processor, add:
  7. Soaked cashews
  8. 3 tbsp lemon juice
  9. 1 cup water
  10. 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  11. 1/2 tsp cumin
  12. 1 tsp garlic powder
  13. 1/2 tsp paprika
  14. 1 tsp chili powder
  15. 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  16. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  17.  
  18. Puree and slowly add 2 more cups of water.
  19.  
  20. Pour back into pot place on stove, allow to simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Heat and time make it thicken!
