YGO Worldwide Edition FAQ

Q: What is Yu-Gi-Oh Worldwide Edition?
A: It's a GBA version of a children's card game.  If this game looks familiar you likely played Eternal Duelist Soul at some point.

Q: What are the differences between Worldwide Edition and Eternal Duelist Soul?
A: More cards, more duelists, faster gameplay, an overworld map, and a "story" of sorts.  This game takes place in Battle City.

Q: What is the All Cards category?
A: The objective is to get every card in the game.

Q: Doesn't that involve a lot of luck?
A: No. You can get every card in the game by completing each of the 10 limitation challenges.

Q: What is a limitation challenge?
A: A duel where you are limited to the kinds of cards you can use (e.g. Only Insect Monsters).  Upon completing a challenge you get every card related to the limitation.  So completing the Insect Challenge gives you every Insect card.

Q: How do you unlock limitation challenges?
A: This is how the progression of the game goes:

After 8 in game weeks. Ghouls start appearing.
Ghouls have a chance to appear by talking to Passengers.
Ghouls will appear every two weeks.
After defeating all 5 Ghouls the Pyramid is unlocked.
The Pyramid is 5 consecutive duels.  If I'm about to lose I can reset the game and not lose my progress.
The limitation challenges appear after completing the Pyramid.

Q: Which starter deck do you pick?
A: I pick the trap deck and I want the one with strong offensive traps such as Bell of Destruction because these cards will carry me even if I have subpar monsters.  Each starter deck has two different decks you can get so if I don't get the one I want I reset and try again.  It's a 50/50 chance.

Q: What cards are you trying to get at the beginning of the game?
A: Ideally a lot of Insect and Dragon cards.  Those two are the hardest limitation challenges to get a deck of 40 cards for, but the packs I pick also have a chance for other good cards which will make the duels against the Ghouls easier.  If it wasn't for these two limitation challenges I could go through the game without farming cards.

Q: Doesn't this game have a password system?
A: Yes, but we're not using passwords to make the race more interesting.
