  1. A few thoughts and proposals.
  2.
  3. 1. I want this to be a medium sized team of people who don't have significant other duties. Someone pulling work on a crit team shouldn't be on this team for example. The reason I envison this is because if it becomes too broad, it's no different than just staff general duties which we already know are inefficient.
  4.
  5. 2. I do not want the captain of this team to share captainship of other teams for the above reason. However, I do want the captain of this team to be capable of advising a variety of related policies. For example, site and forum crit, images, wikiwalk, community outreach, etc.

  7. 3. If the team is successful, I would like this team to be a focused, well-respected group of power-users both capable of and are actually doing the work. They should be acknowledged and cherished as the people who are keeping the gears turning on the logistics of the website. We are essentially offloading the entirety of staff's dirty work to them. This should be acknowledged and respected for what it is.

  9. 4. I would like for this team to also establish very specific standards. How often does Log of Anomalous Items get looked over? SCP-914 logs? SCP-682 logs? How often is Meet The Staff updated? What is the exact process of deletion? What are the pages that the Custodial Team is responsible in keeping updated, what teams do they work with to update, and how often are they checked over, and by who? How active are its members expected to be and what is the time period to be considered off the team?
  10.
  11. 5. I would be more interested in giving a concentrated set of staff a power-run on this team before establishing it as an ad-hoc permament group. I would like this run to be for ~6 months, or for 2 cycles of votes. The reasons for this is twofold. The first reason is that it is important to see if the users on this team are given the visibility they should be given. An operational staff on this team for 2 cycles actively should be considered heavily for moderatorship, if this is the focused group I believe is being proposed. The other reason is that I would like to examine how strongly this team will lead to burnout of its members. We do not get a small amount of traffic, at all. If significant burnout occurs of its members, I cannot approve of this team on good conscience. We would lose too many heavy-hitting staff.
  12.
  13. Given the above, I am all for this team and support it. However, I would like for the above to be discussed and sorted out ahead of time. Logistics for the logistics crew, as it were.
