It wasn't much of a surprise to her considering how  successful his father was. But the fact of him being murdered.... in front of her eyes lingers in her mind. She knows who the murderer is, and it was her mother's other lover. she was extremely furious and at the same time scared, she can't even do anything to save her innocent father's life. a week after her father's funeral her mom's lover moved in with them and that's where everything starts to fall apart. she was repeatedly abused and raped by her stepfather without her mother knowing. he threatened her to do the same thing he did to her father if she says a word. soonyoung knew all about it and promised her to get her out of there alive, but odds were not in her favor. Her mother gotten know of all the things her stepfather did to her and her mother obviously, doesn't believe nor hear her side and her boyfriend aka her brother was killed in front of her and it traumatized her so much she can no longer think straight. Unfortunately, her father's case was closed without catching the killer, and before she know it. She was sent into a mental institution in Jeju Island.
