  1. >Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger was a very complex young lady. A girl of few words, she had a very specific set of interests. While most of the other witches her age were interested in things like boys and hanging out with friends, she was more fond of things like technology and engineering. Granted, she deeply cared for her friends, but she was far from being the social butterfly that was Amanda or the caring individual that was Jasminka. Most of her free time was spent in her laboratory located directly beneath her dorm.
  2. >Today was no different. She was in her lab surrounded by several machines and blueprints for various prototype inventions. However, she wasn't working on some new contraption. Today, she indulged herself in one of her fondest hobbies: weapon maintenance. In the back of her lab sat her armory. Scores of pistols, rifles, and other assorted weaponry lined the racks that were placed along the back wall.
  3. >She grabbed an MP5K off of the rack and began disassembly. She had a very strong affinity for H&K weapons in particular. It could be a bias held due to her German ancestry, but she was always impressed by their quality. She had samples from several manufacturers: FNH, Colt, Steyr, Accuracy International, the list went on. However, her HKs were her crown jewels in her collection. She took special care in maintaining her PSG1, MP5s, USPs, just to name a few.
  4. >While cleaning, she mused herself with thoughts of why she had a passion for weapons. Each one was like a friend to her. Each one had a story to tell, as well as a story waiting to be written. She wasn't like the other girls at the school who dismissed weapons as devices responsible for violence. They were what they were; machines, just like a car or a watch.
  5. >A lot of the weapons in her collection were originals from the manufacturer, but she also made a fair amount herself.
  6. >Being skilled in metal manipulating magic, she could produce any gun she desired if she could procure a set of design schematics. She thought about whether or not it would be a good idea to sell some of her weapons. It would certainly be profitable. However, there would be too many potential issues. There wasn't exactly a market for guns in a school for witchcraft. She was also supposed to not possess regular technology in the school to begin with; her hobby would more than likely get her expelled if it was brought to light. She could sell replicants of firearms when she leaves the academy, but it would be difficult to get licensing from the manufacturers to produce and sell copies of the weapons. It would also ostracize her from the magical community as a whole. Her hobby would have to stay private. Not that it mattered, there were other ways to make money.
  7. >That was fine with her. She was content with her collection. She truly loved guns. Shooting them, cleaning them, collecting them, this was truly her passion. Luckily, being a witch allowed her easy access to her arsenal, where it would be hard to a quite through conventional means. She didn't have to buy most of her weapons, and normal police didn't bother witches normally, so regulations didn't restrain her if she didn't bring attention to herself.
  8. >Finishing up the MP5K, she placed it back on the rack and grabbed a FAL and got to work on it. Maybe she could get her friends into shooting? She thought about bringing it up to them. They valued her opinions, and she would truly love sharing her hobby with them.
  9. >That thought would have to wait, however. There was a weapon that demanded her attention, and much like with a friend that needed attention, she was happily devoted to the task at hand.
