Physical Description: A regular-looking Cerean, usually seen carrying a book on ancient Sith or a book on the intricacies of Rakatan culture. He also wears fine robes, worn in such fashion as of the times, which denotes an affluent background. A small blaster can be seen on his person as well, only there as a last resort, as one so travelled and worldly as he must have.

Background: Born on an offworld of Cerea to wealthy merchant parents, he displayed a natural aptitude for ancient languages and knowledge of ancient cultures from the age of 10, when he first entered into study at Tecave City, the capital of Cerea. He learned Sith tongue at the age of 13 and graduated from the university within a month of that, with a thesis in ancient Sith culture. An adept scholar, he then went on to research the Rakatan culture, and he learned the Rakatan language from what remained of their once vast empire, which was very little. He studied at the college of archaeology, but he arrived at the conclusion that he would have to work in the field to discover something worthwhile. At the age of 18 he hitchhiked his way around the galaxy to discover archaic ruins and study anything ancient he could see or put his hands on.
On Korriban he discovered a cache of ancient Sith sarcophagi, and the opulent tomb of Darth Ragnos. There was evidence retained from the documented travels of "The Revanchist" that helped prove it was indeed the resting place of Marka Ragnos. What he also discovered there were bas-reliefs documenting not only the history of the ancient Sith, but also the invasion of the Rakatans', whom tried to enslave the Sith for their experiments. The bas-reliefs also hinted on the root cause of abuse of the dark side by the Rakatans, which led Ro-Odi to his current goal of finding some remnants of Rakatan culture.

Personality: After years of seniority within the ranks of galactic scholars and academics, he doesn't have much patience for rash, risk-taking people. He prefers to take things at a measured pace and think through every possible outcome several times before making a decision. However, despite his impatience for spontaneous people, he never rises to anger or even visible frustration.

Objectives: To make a major discovery in the research of Rakatan culture, and their choice to exploit the dark side for their own benefit. This discovery will make him renowned throughout the academic world and bring fame and fortune.

A quote: "There must have been a factor that lead the Rakatans' to enslave the entire galaxy. Understanding the corrupting dark side of the force will lead us to such knowledge."

Connection to the party: He has once hired some members of the party to do field work in hostile worlds and areas that are off-limits, even to someone of his standing. He hopes that travelling with the party will lead to some discoveries that he could not make on his own.

Special Abilities -

Binary Brain. If a Cerean fails a Knowledge or Perception roll (or a skill roll based on those attributes), the Cerean may immediately re-roll half the dice (rounded down) originally rolled and add the result to the original total that failed.
Dual Hearts: Cereans can function with only one of these hearts, but the demands placed on their circulatory system by their binary brains are no laughing matter. A Cerean reduced to functioning on only one heart must sleep 2/3 of a given day to maintain his mental performance.
