Growing up Lola was very insecure about herself considering she was the only Korean, let alone Asian in the school she attended in France, she always felt a bit different from the rest of the students. On her birthday which was coincidentally valentines day too at the age of 13, she received her first camera and her first heartbreak. A boy named Elias rejected her in front of the whole class after she had confessed. In photography and music she found comfort, giving her a way to convey feelings in a much more meaningful way. Lola was sent to Korea after her parents decided to go on a lifetime cruise, without her. She met a group of girls she felt happy and comfortable with and eventually became a happy virus so she could be a person one could lean and depend on when they needed a little sunshine in their life.

At the start of their relationship they were just friends but after about a week he realised he had feelings for lola and he decided to confess. after he had confessed Lola ran away without giving him an answer, later that night at dinner LI sees Lola hugging Chenle, LI approaches Chenle and Lola and gets mad at both of them, not giving them a chance to explain LI says he just used her to get to her friend. Lola breaks down and doesn't talk to him for weeks, she stopped being the "happy virus" and for one week, barely ate at all. After a while, Chenle finally gets a chance to explain what happened with him and Lola and LI eventually tries to get Lola back and they end up with a happy and successful relationship
