  1. SECTION 4: Amendments & Procedure (cont.)
  2. 4 § 1 Section 4 Clauses 1 through 3 details the process of discipline and or removal of a moderator. This provision is intended to ensure the peoples of the discord have a remedy to remove any moderator from their position that breaches the rules and protocols set out by the DECLARATION OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS ACT (2019). Not only may this Clause be used to punish a moderator who commits an egregious breach of the previously outlined procedure as an outline but it may be used to punish a moderator who violates any legislation henceforth passed.
  3. 4 § 2 If a user of the UW Discord believes that a moderator has intentionally violated rules in a manner that requires removal they may open an inquiry in #seggestions by commenting "I, [username], formally call for [moderator's username] to be removed from their position of a moderator on the UW Discord. [reasoning for inquiry]. If this inquiry gets more than 10 :upvotes: than that moderator is removed. This motion can be vetoed by an 80% majority of moderators, increasing the threshold to override the veto to 10 :upvotes:.
  4. 4 § 3 If a user of the UW Discord believes that a moderator has intentionally violated the rules in a manner that requires disciplining but not removal they may initiate a motion for sed moderator be held in popular contempt. This is initiated in a similar way to the removal of moderators, however, it may not be vetoed by any majority of the moderators. The user posts in #seggestions: "I, [username], formally call for [moderator's username] to be held in contempt. [reasoning]." If the 80% threshold is crossed then the moderators must post the reasoning in #announcements and the moderator who was held in contempt must wear the @shame role for three days.
