BACKGROUND:
↳ She grew up in a small family that consisted of her parents and herself. She's actually quite clumsy so her mom had to use the first aid kid pretty often. Her father was busy a lot of the time, but he tried his best to spend time with her when he was home. Her mother was one of her biggest role models growing up therefore her dream was to be a nurse. In school she was always in the top of her class. She never really got lonely at home because she would tend to bring stray animals home. Now her parents weren't always happy with that, but they just wanted her to be happy. She's never thought that falling in love was important. She'd get quite a few confessions, but she always turned them down so she could focus on studying. When she finally started liking somebody, her friend ended up liking the same person. Since she just wanted her friend to be happy she tried her best to help her friend instead of acknowledging her own feelings.

HOW THEY MET:
↳ He was swimming across a pond to get to something he saw on the other side when he started drowning. Jiyeon happened to be walking by and saw him. Although she has aquaphobia she jumps in to save him. Through her adrenaline rush she somehow gets him back to land. She has to give him CPR because he isn't breathing. Afterwards she tells him of a different hidden path to get to the other side.

RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT:
↳ start - He begins to fall for her after she saved him and confesses his feelings. At first Jiyeon doesn't feel the same, but she eventually begins to like him too.
