Before Vergil even appeared, it swung its blade backwards. By the time Vergil noticed, it was too late. The sword had already cleaved into his bicep. Muscle fibers snapped apart, each torn blood vessel only fueled his hatred, made Lingering Will swing deeper and further into the arm, until Vergil had to teleport away to escape his wrath, lest he lose the arm entirely.
