- 1. Where is Justice?
- In the world, the amount of despair, evil, and negativity is frighteningly high. Rarely do people help each other, and even people such as the police neglect their duties often. Crime has spread like wildfire in the past few years. A group of three thugs target a woman on the streets. Not one person attempts to intervene as she is robbed and killed. As they leave, they are approached by a seventeen year old boy whose name is Majin. Most, if not all, would call Majin's actions foolish. He challenges them to a fight without any weapons or plan. Majin quickly finds himself on the verge of death as he is attacked by the three. Before his seemingly inevitable death, he grabs the leader of the trio by the arm and crushes his hand. Majin then knocks them out one by one, each with a single punch. The wind lifts Majin's hair, revealing a face hidden from the world. Majin looks down at the corpse of the woman from before and turns, walking away. Majin clenches his fists.
- "I'll do it."
- 2. Trash Among Hope
- Nine years ago, the world was united as one, governed by fourteen leaders. The leaders were split over an issue concerning something unknown, and seven each took a side, waging war upon the other. It soon escalated into a full scale war. One side fought for justice, and the other for the opposite. The side of justice lost, and all seven leaders were killed in the final decisive battle. The remaining seven now governed the world alone, and the planet quickly fell into an irreversible state of despair and chaos. Most people don't care who rules over them, as long as they are allowed to live their lives the way they desire. Others, however, want a freedom they are not allowed to have by these seven, now known as leaders of the Empire, tyrants who control everything. These resistance groups merged into one known as the Rebels. Nine years later, the Rebels are still not strong enough to oppose the Empire, and continually fend off routine attacks by the Empire in the few Rebel cities that exist. Today, the youth Majin arrives in Castitas, one such city. On arrival, Majin witnesses firsthand a fight between Rebels and Empire soldiers. The Empire soldiers take out twice as many as they lose, but before they are able to retreat, Majin steps in, blocking the escape of a high-ranking Empire soldier named Ifrit. By doing so, Ifrit's fate is sealed and the Rebels finish them off. One soldier gets away, Majin later learns he is a skilled fighter of the Empire named Jinn. That evening, Majin meets with the mayor of Castitas, an elderly man who goes by Orcus Alderman. Orcus asks Majin to deliver a letter to his son, Cyrus, on the other side of the city. Seeing no reason to reject, Majin takes the letter and leaves to deliver it. Upon reading it, Cyrus is angered. Majin inquires about it, and learns Orcus has betrayed the people of Castitas, handing the city over to Asmodeus, one of the seven leaders, in exchange for a position of power in the Empire.
- "So even in a place like this, someone can be that selfish. Disgusting."
