  1. ~~Pride and Prejudice: Dino Time! - Plot Summary~~
  2.
  3. 1. The movie begins with narration and music establishing key facts: first, Mrs. Bennet is trying to marry off her daughters. Second, Netherfield Estate has come into the possession of Charles Bingley, who Mrs. Bennet sees as a prospect for her girls. Third, Mrs. Bennet is worried about dinosaurs ("scaly dragons roaming round the land"). Finally, Bingley wants to see his friend get married ("it's really sad and dumb that you're still single") - but Darcy is indifferent.
  4.
  5. 2. Next - at the Meryton Assembly - Elizabeth and Darcy have a heated first encounter in which Elizabeth is shown to be fond of dinosaurs, even keeping some as pets (she says they are "kind, gentle and misunderstood"). Meanwhile, Darcy is shown to be hateful of dinosaurs (he is referred to as the "slayer of lizards" by other characters). He reflects on their sudden and inexplicable arrival ("they came out of nowhere..."). Amid their conversation, a group of dinosaurs stampedes through the gathering, at which point Darcy fights them off, and calls Elizabeth "tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me".
  6.
  7. 3. Later, Bingley expresses his infatuation with Jane Bennett ("if only those beasts hadn't come and ended our perfect night"). Darcy essentially tells Bingley to pull himself together. He convinces Bingley that Jane is only after his wealth and says they have more important things to worry about than women (namely, driving dinosaurs out of England). There are hints that Darcy has feelings for Elizabeth, but he dodges the subject when pressed and the two friends leave Netherfield together.
  8.
  9. 4. Wickham and Lydia are introduced, and Wickham is revealed as a sorcerer who brought dinosaurs into the world as a means of increasing his power. Motivated by vengeance (although he insists "it's not revenge if it's justice"), Wickham writes a letter to Elizabeth with Lydia's help, claiming that Darcy is responsible for the appearance of dinosaurs. Lydia thinks this is "a very good joke," while Wickham states that his ascension to power will be "the greatest joke of all".
  10.
  11. 5. Mr. Collins proposes to Elizabeth, but Mr. Collins is a dinosaur speaking through an interpreter (only ever referred to as "Mr. Collins' Interpreter"). Elizabeth refuses him, and he takes offense when she pats his head. Mr. Collins storms away.
  12.
  13. 6. After Elizabeth rejects Mr. Collins' proposal, Mr. Collins' Interpreter passes Elizabeth the letter Mr. Wickham composed during 'It's Not Revenge if It's Justice' (in addition to being Mr. Collins' Interpreter, he claims to "moonlight" as Mr. Wickham's private courier). Mr. Collins' Interpreter apologizes for the behavior of his employer and states that Mr. Collins has been in a bad mood lately due to the reckless behavior of his benefactor Lady Catherine.
  14.
  15. 7. Not yet reading the letter, Elizabeth decides she will pay Lady Catherine a visit, but realizes she has bitten off more than she can chew when Lady Catherine turns out to be a T-Rex terrorizing the country around Rosings Park. Elizabeth tries using kindness and compassion to calm Lady Catherine down, but only manages to excite her anger. At this point, Elizabeth observes that Lady Catherine is being agitated by magic. The situation grows very dangerous for Elizabeth. However...
  16.
  17. 8. Having heard of Lady Catherine's behavior, Darcy has shown up at the same time to kill or drive her away. He intervenes at the last second to save Elizabeth from Lady Catherine's attack, and the latter storms away.
  18.
  19. 9. That evening, Elizabeth finally reads Mr. Wickham's letter, and Darcy proposes to her right afterwards. Spurning Darcy's proposal, she also accuses him of being a sorcerer. Darcy takes his leave, understandably shocked and confused by her words.
  20.
  21. 10. In a moving musical sequence, Darcy confesses remorse to his cousin Col. Fitzwilliam (also a dinosaur who only says "wah wah") over both his personal flaws and his prejudice towards dinosaurs. Separately, Elizabeth confesses remorse for her prejudice towards Darcy and - reflecting both on the earlier stampede, and her encounter with Lady Catherine - admits that dinosaurs "sometimes need a firmer hand".
  22.
  23. 11. Wickham reveals to Lydia that his power over dinosaurs is limited because: "I have taken something that does not belong to this time, and now I must give something back. But not just anything will do. It must be something...precious...". In short, he has to send Lydia back in time to consolidate his power and convinces her to go along with this plan.
  24.
  25. 12. Elizabeth travels to Pemberley with her aunt and uncle, following an "unusual migration" of dinosaurs. There she bumps into Darcy. They discuss their previous misunderstandings and recantations are made on both sides. Elizabeth reveals that she is concerned for her sister Lydia's wellbeing due to her association with Mr. Wickham, and Darcy reveals Wickham's past obsession with sorcery (along with his vow to take all of Darcy's wealth).
  26.
  27. 13. Darcy tries to show Elizabeth a collection of dinosaurs he has amassed and cared for since she turned down his proposal, but they turn out to have been stolen. The circumstances of the theft make it clear that Wickham was responsible. They conclude that Wickham was the sorcerer who brought dinosaurs into the world all along.
  28.
  29. 14. Just then a volcano explodes, filling the sky with fire and ash. Elizabeth and Darcy surmise that Wickham is up to something and set off towards the mountain riding Elizabeth's dinosaurs, Phillips and Maria. Along the way they collect Mr. Collins and Mr. Collins' Interpreter (Mr. Collins' Interpreter is evidently running an errand for Wickham, but is easily persuaded to abandon it).
  30.
  31. 15. Wickham prepares to send Lydia back in time. We discover that he has caused the volcanic explosion through incompetent sorcery while opening a portal to the prehistoric past. Darcy shows up to confront Wickham. With Elizabeth's help, Darcy overpowers his old foe and prevents him from casting any further spells. At this point, the two have an exchange about power and social order exemplifying the difference between Darcy and Wickham as individuals.
  32.
  33. 16. Wickham states that his portal to the past cannot be closed unless something that is treasured goes through it. Believing that Wickham is precious to Lydia, Darcy decides to throw him into the mountain. Before he can do so, the mountain begins to collapse due to a magical spell Wickham cast in their earlier fight. Wickham falls into the portal, and Lydia jumps in after him. Mr. Collins and his interpreter jump in too (Mr. Collins wishes to officiate their marriage).
  34.
  35. 17. Elizabeth's leg has been hurt in the commotion. Darcy tends to her, and they both confess their feelings for each other. They ride away on Phillips.
  36.
  37. 18. Later, a minister presiding over Darcy and Elizabeth's wedding reads a message from Lydia, Wickham, Mr. Collins and his Interpreter found on a slate of cretaceous-era rock - it serves as Mr. Collins' formal resignation from his post in Hunsford. Lady Catherine is observed among the crowd, emotionally sniffing into a comically undersized handkerchief.
  38.
  39. 19. We see the marriage of Darcy and Elizabeth occurring at the same time as the marriage of Jane and Bingley. This coincides with the song 'A Long, Long Life Together'.
  40.
  41. 20. It is revealed that Pemberley Estate has become a sanctuary for dinosaurs, "redeemed from sorcery to be every bit as useful as livestock - and much better at singing" (dinosaurs sing a lot in this movie).
