  1. Players arrive in Toulouges looking for work, where they are tasked by the Admiral, Lucien Dupré, with clearing out a local Bullywug threat, who have taken up residence in a nearby shipwreck. When players arrive the bullywugs are very hostile, and are found worshiping a strange item (a thin, flat disc made of brass etched with the symbol of a waxing crescent moon that emits a faint white glow, if players use detect magic it is extremely powerful but there's no way to use it). Players collect the item and return to Lucien, who acts as if he is not interested (but he actually is extremely interested, being a former first mate of the Midnight's Folly himself where he had consistently tracked a way to get the treasures of Mosh-Su-On Temple, characters can reveal his great interest on insight check but he will refuse to tell the truth if pressed)
  2.
  3. -Ssermose is the lead Yuan-Ti that seeks to complete the prophecy for Mi-Shao-Shur to awaken from his slumber inside the moon and consume the Earth. Ssermose sleeps in Mosh-Shu-On, the location of a great treasure all the pirates are after.
  4.
  5. -Jean-Jacques Lateur, also known as the Midnight Prince, is the captain of the most powerful and feared pirate ship in the world, the Midnight's Folly. He is immortal after his first run-in with Ssermose in Mosh-Shu-On, but lacks the power of Mi-Shao-Shur and seeks to return to Mosh-Shu-On to claim it. He is unaware of the prophecy of Mi-Shao-Shur. He also has a pet kraken named Inky.
  6.
  7. -Lucien Dupre is the Admiral of Toulogues, but in reality he is the former first mate of Captain Jean-Jacques Lateur and betrayed him to find and take the treasures of Mosh-Shu-On for himself after their first failed attempt to find it. He captains the ship known as the Charlatan.
  8.
  9. -Phillipe the Black is the captain of the Devil's Gambit, a very powerful vessel, that also knows of the treasure within Mosh-Shu-On.
  10.
  11. -Mr. Hooks is a demigod that leads his own pirate ship, the Blue Nixie, of ghostly servants. He seeks to collect souls and kill Davey Jones, to usurp him as the ruler of the seas. This also puts him into conflict with Davey Jones' mortal enemy, the Midnight Prince.
  12.
  13. -Davey Jones is furious with Jean-Jacques Lateur and seeks to end his immortality. However, Davey Jones also initially hates the players who are saved by Jean-Jacques after they should have died from his pet kraken, Inky. Only after the prophecy comes into play does Davey Jones begrudgingly side with the players and allow them on the Flying Dutchman.
  14.
  15. -Baron Lacroix, one of the many aspects of the god Cyrus, allies himself with the players and helps them from the shadows. He poses as a moderate pirate who captains the ship the Nagging Maiden.
  16.
  17. -Admiral Valentin Saint-Simone is the Admiral of Guillaumont, and a very just and fair commander. He captains the ship, the Soleil Royal and leads the Royal Marines for east Nezzurah. The Admiral originally sees the players as nothing more than pirates themselves, and refuses to listen to them. But after the prophecy begins to come true, he is willing to team up with Davey Jones, the Midnight Prince, and the players.

  44. The players will join Jean-Jacques Lateur aboard the Midnight's Folly, now servants to his will lest they want to face the wrath of Davey Jones alone. He tells them of his past with Phillipe the Black, Lucien Dupre, and a now deceased pirate named Francois Delancourt. He said that they gathered the key to unlock Mosh-Shu-On, where the Midnight Prince secretly gained his immortality. However, after having to flee from the slumbering Yuan-Ti they agreed to divide the key into 3 equal parts and then return to Mosh-Shu-On in five years time, hopefully with a plan to overcome the Yuan-Ti. However, the pirates fell out with one another as pirates do. Lucien attempted to betray Jean-Jacques and, although he did fail, he did manage to steal the piece of the key. Philippe decided to just kill the other pirates and steal it all for himself. Francois met his end at the hands of Admiral Valentin Saint-Simone, who took the piece of the key and kept it in a local museum. However, Jean-Jacques knows the only way to reach the inner sanctum is with a second key, that he has tracked down over the last 5 years. It is a scepter, an ancient, gold, yuan-ti crafted scepter that supposedly is capable of controlling the waves in some way. Jean-Jacques says that when they came to the door to the inner sanctum he traced what was needed to be placed in the keyhole. Run the Tomb of Traps quest.

  48. Players return to Jean-Jacques Lateur with the scepter. With that in hand, the next phase is to retrieve the 3 parts of the key. One being with Lucien Dupre, one with Francois Delancourt, and one with Phillipe the Black. This is no easy task of course. Francois is dead, and all of his treasure was confiscated by the famed Admiral Valentin Saint-Simone, who has the entire Marine Royale at his back in Guillaumont. One piece is with Phillipe the Black, who has his base set in Swashbuckler's Squat, a town of pirates and criminals. The last piece was with Lucien Dupre, who was claimed by Davey Jones himself. Players must pick which piece of the key they want to retrieve, none of them an easy task. One leads them to Guillaumont in an attempt to steal the key fragment from the Admiral himself. Another leads them to Swashbuckler's Squat in an attempt to track down Phillipe the Black and take him on. The last will be tricky, as Jean-Jacques believes Lucien is in Davey Jones' Locker (he isn't he actually survived) so he sends the party to make a deal with a very powerful and very feared and seemingly godlike pirate known only as Mr. Hooks. He is definitely a spirit or a sort of fiend or celestial. Whichever they take will cause a huge branching path. They can successfully steal the piece from the Admiral, or fail and either work with the Admiral or try to escape. If they go after Phillipe they will be drawn into various favors needed in Swashbuckler's Squat for information, finally finding him in a battle with other Yuan-Ti, still searching for the same immortality granted to Lateur, where they can work with or against Phillipe. The last will have them working with Mr. Hooks to track down a mysterious pirate named Baron Lacroix (who eventually turns out to be an aspect of the god Cyrus) and players can either choose to work with Mr. Hooks or Baron Lacroix. If they choose Mr. Hooks, they also can choose between betraying Lateur or continue working with him.
