quick update

So here's a quick update on my plans for the near future:

Both of my tournaments finished up this weekend.  I managed to snag 3rd place in Dargin's Taiko tournament, as well as 2nd place in the Vintage Map Tourney.  I'm very happy with these results, as both of them were much higher than I expected based on who entered the two tournaments.  Specifically, getting 2nd in the Vintage Map Tourney felt incredible, as I played extremely well in the final weekend to reach the finals and put up a strong fight despite the loss.

Now that both of these tournaments are over, I have a rare free period in my schedule, with nothing osu-related in my calendar until Taiko World Cup in March if I end up making it onto the team.  Because of this, I'm going to take a break for the next week and probably not play at all.  When I come back from my break, I'm going to focus on enjoying the game, playing both Taiko and Standard and trying to get some cool scores.

Regarding some other things:
 - My Taiko ranked map challenge will resume as soon as my internet is fixed.  Hopefully this happens within a week.  The first Saturday that I have usable upload speed, I'll do at least a 12 hour stream to make up for the lack of streams recently.

 - I will not be participating in the North American Taiko Tournament, because I want to relax a bit and not have to take the game seriously for a bit.  I also don't feel like I have anything to prove in this tournament regarding my spot on Team USA.  Either I'm in or I'm out, and my performance in this tournament won't affect the final decision.

 - My last goal in Standard is to get into the top 20k at some point.  I think I gained a lot of skill in the past month, and I'd like to see how it applies to some of the pp maps out there.  I won't be farming but I'll try to gain some ranks sometime just to say that I achieved top 20k.

 - I'll be at a convention on October 28-29, and I may be going to another on October 15, which takes away 2 more chances at Saturday streams, just a heads-up.
