  1. Kazmina,
  2.
  3. You died. It's okay. You just need to know a few things:
  4.
  5. 1. You have a mechanical heart. Your soul is attached to it, so keep it safe. Do not let anti-magic anything get near it. You will die again. Do not let it stray too far from your body. You will die again.
  6.
  7. 2. Hinawa is okay. You can trust her. Faulkner is also okay to trust, and you can probably talk to him about being dead.
  8.
  9. 3. A lot of the world seems to be underwater. Not sure how to fix this, but it wasn't like this before.
  10.
  11. 4. There are a list of people you need to try to find. They might not have survived. Don't lose hope again like before:
  12.
  13. - Vanilla: A yellow kobold gunsmith. Very intelligent, very ingenious. They were the ones that made you the heart and put it in. If found again, hug her, apologize to her, and thank her. You never really got the chance to do so before. Stoic, but maybe a hug would change that.
  14. - Ciel: Hinawa's sister (Sylivan is their last names). A living plush. Very quiet, never quite talked to them. But Hinawa's sister and a crewmate of yours nonetheless. Apologize to her for not talking with her more.
  15. - Adelina: A young but very promising mage. Became a lich, but not through choice. You had made a promise to Fall (a little further down) to keep her safe, but you also tried to break them from their family's grasp (the Engelbertinas. (If any of those cunts are alive, do not hesitate to kill them). If both are alive, apologize to them. You let them down, but do not beat yourself up over it.
  16. - Fall: A bunny cleric, follower of Helm. Very soft hearted, very soft spoken and caring, but terrifying when swinging her hammer. A tough woman, and deserving of being searched for. If anyone could make it through this gods forsaken world, it was her. She knew how to quell your thoughts before. Apologize for breaking your promise to her. She deserved so much better.
  17. - Sailas: An oddball bard with a horn on their head. Drove your nerves every once in a while, but a good person all around. Kept you and your sorry ass alive in a few situations. Be more kind to him, and apologize if you find him. He was certainly a treasure to have.
  18. - Loxley: A sea priest, weird monstrosity mix between a cat, a squid and a demon. Prophetic, but most seems like nonsense at first due to simply being overdramatic at times. He would definitely be able to survive a world like this. You will need to search the waters. Don't be terribly hopeful about finding him (the world is huge, after all), but be hopeful he survived. Tenatively apologize and hug him. Don't mind the oddness to him when you do.
  19. - Bloomin': If your sister is still out there, you need to apologize to her. The most. She deserved so fucking much more than what the world gave her. Than what you provided for her.
  20.
  21. 5. Trust your instincts. They will surprise you.
  22.
  23. You can do this. Others believe in you. You need to do it yourself at some time.
  24.
  25. Survive.
  26.
  27. - The silver bangle was when you were first alive. I know you remember it and where it's from. But it's nice to run your finger on as long as it's clean and stays smooth. Still great for silencing the weaker screams in your head.
  28. - The lock of fur was from Oceanus. He was a really brave sea elf. Annoying at times, but he was very good. If Faulkner is alive, he may be too. Apologize to him as well. Give him a hug. He will absolutely appreciate it.
  29. - The feather was Faulkner's, but he's alive again. It was worth keeping and remembering him.
  30.
  31. You have two targets to kill:
  32. - Pipmat
  33. - Constant Companion
  34.
  35. Constant Companion is an easier target. Pipmat may be gone, but who knows. You may be able to get information from the Keeper of the Depths.
  36. The Keeper is the one that holds sway over the Book of the Drowned. The big book that leaks constantly (it just does that, don't worry). Dip it in the ocean to read it, but maybe keep it to once per day. Do not trust the Keeper, but trust the answers they give. They remain honest, but be wary of what lurks in the waters because of it. You are a hunter, but not an apex predator. The Keeper visits you in your sleep at times. Do not try to stab them. It is just a dream.
  37.
  38. Ask Hinawa and Faulkner about the Constant Companion. Expect a lot of shit talking.
  39.
  40. You are not in hell. You are not in heaven. The pain you feel when you wake up is not real, though. It will take a lot to deal with it at first, but give it a day or two. Your neck is in one piece.
  41.
  42. Try not to be killed again. Not saying it will be easy, but there is a very small chance another body will wash ashore for Hinawa and Faulkner to put your heart into. If you do die again, let Hinawa carry your heart.
  43.
  44.
  45.
  46. Make a vessel and sail once more. Small trips to test the waters. Then more over time.
  47.
  48. You were the ocean's nightmare. Now, you're Kazmina Loudsteel, Dread Captain of the Drowned World.
  49. Wear your name proudly. That name is yours and yours alone, and be damned if anyone runs it into the depths except yourself.
  50.
  51. Learn to let others take the burden from you. You were so fucking stubborn and refused to let anyone in, and I regret that so much. You do not deserve so much weight alone.
  52.
  53. None of us deserve what happened. If there is any world left outside of this gods forsaken island, you make it a point that this world will never defeat you. This world cannot keep you in a grave. No one can.
  54. Don't try to remember your crew. Their faces are going to remain blank, their names will remain lost in history. It's okay to cry about it though, okay Kaz? They are gone. But you are still here, and you will need to move on. For them. For your sister Bloomin'. For yourself.
  55.
  56.
  57. Give the world hell if there's a world left. You have the strength to own it.
