Those steel eyes lingered onto the Qilin and her smile vanished away.

"You punish the living for a blood ritual made by the deceased. You ally with Sin and repay blood with blood. This is no different than the very enemies we face. I hope the Emperor's Guidance will find Huangzhou before it is too late. Without Moriya, I fear that all is already falling apart." She explains before taking the rose from her hair and placing it against her nose to take an inhale from it. Both of her eyes are closed as she returns it to her hair and places both hands before her body.

A nod is made towards the Qilin at this point as she tries to find the memories of better times. Yet, they are so far and most lost within the curse of blood by Cain's children. The handprint on her shoulder finally glows brightly and she is able to see the first moment she held her daughter. "...This is ridiculous. Just end 'em quickly. They've done their part in attemptin' to corrupt the settlement. No need ta' have this take much longer." he grunted, ruffling his lustrously golden mane with a brief shake of the head.

The smith had never had a taste for public executions, but the Zhuge family had fucked up, this was necessary.

[20:05] Shango pulls out a canvas and begins to paint the scene before him. The elderly artist brought a lot of red. The paints swirled around on his dish, he had several shades. Some with crushed sinka, some with crushed tomato skins, and some with red clay. All vibrant, beautiful in their own ways.

He props up his wooden tripod and places the canvas onto it. He dips his brush into some charcoal black paint, with a thin paintbrush that was basically a wooden stick with a fine piece of twirled wool on it.

He begins to draw the outlines of those immediately before him trying to capture what he could as a place holder for when he went back over it in detail.

The mana within her kept forcefully down by the restraints of her anti magic collar. Not even her own precious wings could hug her, could keep her warm in this cold evening.

" You ask for our final words, but you know, and I know . . you'll erase them along with our lives. " A brief pause is made, as her eyes deviate towards those that call out their names. Salthiel, Meiyo, the lot that she had went on adventures with. This is fine with the whole of Huangzhou. This is their necessary judgement. Their call for justice. " Goodbye, Mother . . . I apologize for never making your expectations. For never doing enough to prove worthy of being your daughter. Even now, you are disappointed in me. As have been constant in my life . . you share the same sentiment as many others. " Itheis whispered, and muttered quietly to herself. Her final words would only be shared to herself as there weren't any that would be close enough to want to hear her passing words.

A tiny flame that was going to be snuffed out. Itheis resigned quietly as she closed her eyes with her head tucked in low, strands of her hair falling over her face.

The staff that rested between sets of hectic digits was slowly cast downwards, and the flames along the edges of the candles that brimmed it were snuffed out by a mute utterance of Ban's will. Slowly, a bloody blade protrude from the wax-like formations, superficially poking Itheis' throat.

The spade-shaped razor extends abruptly, immediately jutting into the Zhuge's neck and crossing into and beyond her nape, slaying the fallen brave. Painless, indolent. One less woe another soul would be demanded to suffer through, before they parted. Her limping body is held by a tender hand. Eyes are shut closed, for a moment of mute prayer.

[20:28] For a brief moment, the gargantuan smith merely frowned as Igleta's head dropped to the floor, preluded on mere seconds prior by Terra's longwinded speech. The man's gaze quietly turned, settling atop the pale-skinned Neries, his silvered eyes momentarily taking note of the woman's shaved horns before he sighed.

"You sure do love to talk a lot about a lil', y'know."he responded casually, one clawed hand leisurely raised to scratch gently at the scruff of blonde fur that had gathered on his chin. "Simply put. They did something terrible, worthy of death. An act that, if you know anything about Gehennan culture. Could've really fucked up everything for all of us, in exchange for a little benefit for them. "

Turning his gaze towards Ban, his frown only deepened at the sight of Leona's unfortunate demise, followed by a silent prayer to Kraus above.

"There's a chance to... undo it?"she says in thought, green eyes wandering along the path only to widen at what she sees. For a time she waits, anxiously, hoping that some force would stop it. Stop this.

True enough she was conflicted but and soon realizes that no one would move to stop it.

Again, her body just moves. Kyrina flows with the wind, her weapon coming into her hands; it was likely that she was breaking laws, but evidently the girl was no stranger to it. The broadsword digs into the ground and she braces with her arm and shoulder with the brilliant blue of raw energy that seeps from her weapon.

It flows enough to counter the blade when she says, panting,
"What the heck is going on?! Didn't you hear them?"

The teenager explains with exaggerated hand motions before throwing a finger to the crowd.
"My mother could still be alive and if you do this now, you're gonna kill her! Why don't you just--" she chokes, now fighting back tears. "--just let us give it a shot!"

It screamed like a weakening crackle of electricity, and flames being put out. The matter drew, and bound Itheis, and Eclipsa together to the same fate. Quite the same intent that some had wanted. Their bodies were being cremated by the pouring out of the woman's mana. A final light of the fluttering butterflies. Eventually, their entire beings would be consumed by the dying matter.

There are no more words. Their duty is carried- and the investigator strafes to the side. A solemn, curt nod carries the conclusion of their duties to the Regent, but there is little to nothing to add.

She chuckles a little at her own comment. She had failed as a guardian, Kyrina was in pain because of her. She hated herself for giving Kyrina false hope. The one opportunity was gone now.

"I made a promise to Kyrstina... I'll protect you for as long as I breathe... I'll make sure no harm will ever come to you... I'm sorry..."

Tears fell to the ground. She didn't care if people watched her as if she was a mad woman. All she cared about was Kyrina's happiness.

As the sun rises, she can see it--what her sister has brought her here to witness. The horizon, where the sun and the ocean seem to meet is filled with vibrant shades of colors from pinks and purples to yellows, oranges, reds and naturally, blue.

Its reflection in the ocean is simply magnificent and the sight of it all has her looking on in reverence. There was beauty in it and this was something she and her mother often saw on their long rides at sea.

The girl listens to Rose and she has some insightful and inspiring things to say; her analogy alone tugs at Kyrina's heart strings so that her eyes fill with water and tears come rolling down red cheeks--tears that she couldn't shed in the moment.

Kyrstina vanished before her eyes and with a sliver of hope that her mother might return to her, Kyrina again is forced to witness the death of her mother again. This time, instead of one, it was two of her mothers at once and the girl hadn't the courage to fight as her instincts willed her to.

The teenager sobs, clutching her chest.
"... maybe you're right," she says, sniffing. "I just--I..."

She can't bear the thought of losing anyone again. No more.
"... I can't let this happen again. I don't know why no one did anything... why I was the only one... but because of that, it should have been me..."

Kyrina looks into the palm of her hand.
"My mom... I miss her so much already," she tells Rose. "I wasn't able to tell her that I love her one last time... I just knew that ritual wasn't going to go well... and then when we had a chance to maybe bring her back again I let her and Eclipsa down. I should have just done what I knew was right instead of watch them die!"

[23:00] A monarch butterfly descends from the trees at the top of the cliff. In a slow circle it makes its way to Kyrina, crossing her vison before softly attempting to land in her hair.

[23:05] Green eyes look on idly, staring into the depths of the ocean as leaves roll by, swept into the air by a passing breeze. Kyrina catches the butterfly from the corner of her eyes as it descends from a tree on the cliff.

She follows it with her eyes, a smile stealing her countenance when it settles into her hair. Kyrina steals a long drag of air, her eyes lulling to a close as she recalls the good times that have passed.
"Yeah," the girl says. "... it's not going to happen again, ma."

[23:47] The butterfly rests lazily in Kyrina's hair, moving its wings every few moments to stay warm in the cool ocean breeze. It had a calming aura. Almost like it knew Kyrina needed a hug, and was doing its best to give her one.

[23:50] Kyrina feels a familiar presence. A calming presense. Her eyes lull to a close as she raises her head to the sun, moving a hand to gently touch the butterfly that settles in her hair.

[23:52] The butterfly doesn't move and lets her touch it. After a stroke, it climbs onto her finger.

[00:15] Green eyes settle on the butterfly when she brings it before her to look at. Kyrina sighs, briefly averting her gaze before smiling. There were so many feelings gnawing on her but one persists among them all.
"I miss you, ma. I love you... and I'll keep you with me in my heart and soul..., forever."

She chuckles, wiping a tear that rolls from her cheek with the thumb of her free hand. "Thank you for everything."

[00:18] The butterfly faces her and beats its wings slowly three times. It was as if it were indicating three beautiful syllables. Three that meant everything.

I love you.

A gust of wind lifted the creature off of Kyrina's finger and it beat its wings to circle above her, gliding back down and finding a new place to nest in her hair.
