- The Oralth region.
- Hi! Sorry to keep you waiting! Welcome to the world of Pokémon! My name is Maple. But everyone calls me the Pokémon Professor. This is what we call a "Pokémon." This world is widely inhabited by creatures known as Pokémon. We humans live alongside Pokémon, at times as friendly playmates, and at times as cooperative workmates. And sometimes, we band together and battle others like us. But despite our closeness, we don't know everything about Pokémon. In fact, there are many, many secrets surrounding Pokémon. To unravel Pokémon mysteries, I've been undertaking research. That's what I do.
- And you are?
- Are you a boy?
- Or
- are you a girl?
- A trainer and a pokemon both have separate attributes.
- -Trainer Attributes-
- Normal attributes represent your trainer's abilities when it comes to dealing with ordinary
- matters. There are four of these: Physical, Finesse, Social, and Fortitude. Physical is your physical
- strength and speed, Finesse is your ability with fine motor skills and noticing things, Social is your ability to
- socialize and deal with people and pokemon, and Fortitude represents your general resilience and strength of mind to
- endure pain or adversity.
- To determine your normal attributes, distribute 21 points between them. No normal attribute may be
- below 3 or above 7
- Health: Trainers have a base health rating of 8 when reduced to 0 you will be "taken out." and unable to move.
- Fanbase: As you win more trainer battles and do more stuff around the region you might start to gain points in fanbase! Having a high fanbase rating will help you get into more exclusive places and your fans might even bring you items.
- Pokedex: If you meet a new pokemon which you know nothing about you can use your special pokedex get a small tidbit of info on it! The entire trainer party will each have a pokedex.
- -Pokemon Attributes-
- Pokemon abilities are governed by three attributes: Power, Partnership, and Guts. Power is their pure
- strength and finesse, Partnership is their capacity for love, affection and camaraderie with their trainer, and Guts is their ability to summon up anger and violence.
- *To generate your pokemon attributes, divide a total of 18 points among the three attributes. You may
- not have any pokemon attributes below 3 or above 8. Keep in mind that some abilities and situations can
- force you to roll against attributes you didn’t expect to use.
- *This only applies for your starter pokemon as wild pokemon will have specific stats depending on species
- Fatigue: If you make your pokemon battle for long periods of time without rest or comfort they will gain points of fatigue in certain attributes which will have various negative effects.
- Health: A pokemon will have a base health rating of 18 when reduced to 0 your pokemon will faint.
- Moves: The more complex pokemon moves such as psychic and power-up punch will have effects as stated by the GM. It's recommended to keep them close to what they actually do but keep them relatively balanced.
- Affection: As you spend time with your pokemon and treat them well they will start to like you more! Certain pokemon like certain things so it's best to experiment. High affection will make your pokemon work harder for you and give you special bonuses.
- Starters: It's not fun to limit your players to the standard amount of starters so here is a list of pokemon that fit well as starters in the Oralth region.
