Evil Dead Ramblings

I hate these sort of jumps.  Though I must say I am amazed that I almost bought the farm even before I woke up to being a jumper. Really that bridge to the cabin was not fit for use. It actually fell apart right after our car passed over it. I suspect it was an action of the benefactor that kept it up.

Anyways I was an average college student at Michigan university. I was invited to go on vacation along with my sister in this jump (Racheal), Adam and his girlfriend Maya by Ash and his friends.

Only coming awake at the moment we arrived at the cabin I realized what was about to happen. I knew what I had to do. I had to burn the book and destroy the recorder. Simple enough…

Creepy stuff started happening almost as soon as we arrived, I could feel the wrongness already but the rest of the group just seemed a little on edge.

They seemed further unnerved by my other companions showing up. They used the excuse that they lived in one of my many nearby properties an old mansion.

We were invited over but Scott used the excuse we had to settle in.

Anyways at the first opportunity I tried to get down in to the basement…. And got caught. They asked what I was doing I told them I thought I heard something… of course they insisted on going down there and found the book and the recording.

They wanted to listen to it I didn’t Scott who really was being an ass of course listened to it. I tried to use my technopathy and my telekinesis to subtly break the damn thing but nope… that was one tough recorder. Cheryl started to become hysterical but I was able to calm her down.

I wanted to put wards up but as I was helping Cheryl to her room strange stuff started happening and I realized it was probably too late

I start setting up wards anyways as discreetly as possible, with Adam and Maya trying to distract everyone while I do it, Charyl runs out of the house. I run to fallow her and soon I am fighting trees Perverted trees.

I have dropped any pretense of normalcy now as I am hacking apart tree limbs with my sword that I pulled out of nowhere. The trees are screaming Cheryl is screaming, Soon everyone is there, because of the screaming. Adam is punching trees down like it’s minecraft. Maya is letting lose with magic.

So everyone is going WTF but we manage to get people back to the cabin. People were shaken up.
We manage to make our way back to the cabin before the interrogation.

I hurriedly explain that the recording summoned actual demons. As they are trying to digest that I am trying to board stuff up and put up wards. That’s when the Demon chooses to take over Cheryl because demonic possession apparently has no rules.

She is attacking her friends tossing them around I move to stop her and manage to get her down and toss her in to the cellar. I could de-possess her but it’s going to take a ton of energy that I could not spare right at that moment.

Ash and company are freaked out both by the demons and by us. I try and give him a quick rundown of what we are… it could have gone better.

I try and look for the book we can’t find the book anywhere… we realize it’s probably in the cellar.

So Adam and I have to go down there. Cheryl tries to ambush us but I use an ability to stop time as long as I don’t move so Adam can find it. Both of us get showered with blood from the leaky pipes… fun.

We find the book I knock Cheryl back we get the hell out of dodge…

That’s when I realized if I burned the book it would likely kill Cheryl  and possibly trap her soul with the thing possessing her.  Fuck.

So we try to wait it out… start to hear the car revving up…

The car drives through the front door messing up my wards we barely get people out of the way as we are recovering things are going nuts Scott gets too close to the cellar and gets bit…

I try to move to help him but he turns immediately trying to attack everyone else trying to claw and scratch at them. I barely manage to push him back. Things are going crazy around us, Thankfully Maya managed to throw up a circle of protection so that no one else was possessed.

I manage to subdue Scott and toss him in the cellar.

It’s looking more and more like we aren’t going to be able to keep people alive until morning… so I decide to take a look at the book.

So I read the book of the dead… thankfully with a bit of magic and my insane learning rate I was able to puzzle together the ancient Sumerian language in a few minutes.

So I found the spell to make the demon manifest in the world. That may sound like a bad idea but I had something that could actually kill it if I brought it in to the world.

So we threw up every protective spell we had and I began to cast. I didn’t tell Ash and company my plan instead telling them to prepare for everything to get nuts…

And it did… oh did it ever.

I read the first spell and the world went crazy.

So we had trees attacking us, a giant demon head appeared. It pounded and raged against our barriers. I was almost wondering if they were going to hold. It tossed things at us including the car.

I pulled out the spear of destiny a weapon that could kill anything…

I rushed forward and dove between branches that struck at me I wanted to nail it’s face and kill it all…

Then it got a lucky shot in and the spear went flying…

Fuck.

Well I started punching it even though I couldn’t kill it that would keep it busy. It cried out in pain as bits of it went flying with each punch

I was surprised when someone rushed next to me and plunged the spear in to the create.

I thought it was Adam but when I looked over it was Ash. That’s when I remembered the badass that he was destined to become (If I hadn’t meddled in his destiny)

The Demon died and with it so did the crazy events at the Cabin.

After that I resolved to train Ash to fight properly.  Which turned out to be useful. Deadites kept popping up around us just about every week. I thought we had killed the source but apparently there were a lot more of them.  It turned out to be a crazy 10 years.
