YOU GET A CAR AND YOU GET A CAR

Alexithymiaa: -Noah pulled his brand new old ass car into the driveway all anxious and excited about finally having his own car. Putting the car in park and killing the engine, he climbed out and took a step back to admire his new prize, planting his hands on his hips and waiting for Tae to pull in behind him since she had to of taken her own car because they had to get there somehow.-
Covet: Tae had pulled in behind him parking along the street. She climbed out after locking her doors and walked over to where he was, "Look at you proud owner of a car." Tae said. "Should we show it off to Adam?"
Alexithymiaa: "It's nice, right?" He asked even though his car was a piece of garbage. "Yeah, we should probably ask him to take a look and make sure everything looks good." He turned and walked up the front walkway to the house, sticking his head in and just sort of yelling. "Adam! Come look at my car!" // Adam had been in the kitchen feeding Lady when he heard Noah yelling for him. Grabbing his jacket, he walked to the front door with the dog on his heels, folowing Noah outside. "Oh did you get the one you were looking at yesterday?"-
Covet: "Yeah, I tried to convince him to look at some others, but he was pretty sold on this one. So, he went for it." Tae said as she watched the guys come back out. She leaned down to Call Lady over to give her the pets.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, it's great isn't it?" He asked excitedly, heading out to the car to admire it some more. "Can you look it over and make sure everything seems good?" // Adam stepped forward while Lady wandered off to Tae for the pets, examining the body first as he walked around it, taking it in. "It looks decent enough. Nothing obvious. Pop the hood." He said, walking to the front of the car and slipping his fingers underneath the lip, hoisting it up and propping it open to look down at the engine.-
Covet: Tae walked over to the guys looking at the engine , not having any idea how it was all supposed to work, aside from how much windshield wiper fluid there was. "So...Did he get himself a steal?"
Alexithymiaa: -Noah reached into the car to pop the hood for Adam before walking over to stare at the engine also, but he was just as clueless as Tae was. He appeared confident though and that's all that matters. // Adam leaned over to look further inside the car, furrowing his brows. "Well your radiator valve is cracked... so you're going to lose pressure and it's not going to function efficiently. And eventually that crack is going to turn into a break and you'll need to replace it." He paused, moving to one side to lean in further. "And your oil filters are really dirty. Like you'll need that replaced ASAP otherwise it's going to ruin your oil."-
Covet: "Okay so he'll need a trip to Jiffy lube for sure then. But I have no idea what to do about the radiator issue.
Covet: *" Tae said with a frown.
Alexithymiaa: "Is that bad?" He asked cluelessly, trying to spot what Adam was looking at, but he really didn't even know where he was looking. // "Yeah you should be fine going to Jiffy Lube and they should be able to order you a new valve. I can replace it for you pretty easy." He said with a nod. He leaned in to pull back the oil dip stick, checking his levels. "On the surface everything else looks okay. I'd need some tools to check further."-
Covet: "I have no tools, So I'm not very helpful." Tae said then looked at Noah, "So you might have to invest in some of those too." She said to him "But that will be good. Maybe you could be out here learning too, it's only responsible of a car owner to at least know the general idea of how to maintain their vehicle.
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : "Says you, someone who doesnt know how to take care of their car either." He shot back defensively before looking at Adam. "How many tools do I need? Like how much is that going to cost?" // "It's definitely a good idea to get a basic set of wrenches. Most of what you'd need to do would be good with that. You can get a cheap set for like twenty or thirty dollars." His eyes flicked between the two of them. "I could teach you both how to take care of your cars."-
Covet: "I know, but I'm a girl, so it's different. I'm not expected to know stuff about cars. It's cool if I do, but I can get away with it. I know some basic stuff like how to change my tire, and check the oil and other fluids, Oh and how to jumpstart it!" She said.
Alexithymiaa: "How is it different? If you're stranded in the middle of nowhere your gender isn't going to get you out of trouble." He said, crossing his arms. "Yeah, if you're willing to teach, I'm willing to learn. As long as you're not like a condescending douche about it." // Adam just kind of stared at Noah because fuck you.-
Covet: "Um, actually, you'd be suprised, how much it does, though it can also get me into worse trouble too. Hence why I know how to do little stuff." She said rolling her eyes, "If anyone is going to be a condescending douche, it's you, stop it. Adam's offering to do this, so why would he be a douche?"
Alexithymiaa: "I'm just saying. I don't want to be treated like a stupid kid because I don't know about this stuff." He tossed his hands up, looking between the two of them. // "I wouldn't do that. Not everyone is brought up with the same knowledge and I'm sure there are plenty of things you know far better than I do. Everyone has their own talents and skills. It's our responsibility to share the information we're given."-
Alexithymiaa: (Shut the fuck up Adam.)
Covet: "I mean, he's kind of got a point." Tae said pointing to Adam. "You're going to be fine and so is your ego." She told Noah.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah yeah..." He grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest. "Alright fine, you can teach me if you really want to." Like He was doing Adam a favor by learning car stuff. // "I promise it won't be that bad." Adam said with a laugh, gently closing the hood of the car. "And everything will be cheaper if you do your own work on the car, too."-
Covet: "No labor fees. Plus you'll look hot with grease on you too." Tae added with a grin to stroke his ego a bit, not that he needed it.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh yeah?" He asked, instantly getting into the idea of working on a car if it was going to get Tae all riled up. He's simple. // Adam looked between the two of them, letting out a sigh. "I'm going to head back inside now. Y'all have a good night..." He said in a small voice, snapping his fingers for lady to follow him into the house.
Covet: "Have a good night Adam. Thank you again for looking at this." She said with a smile, then looked at Noah, "Yep. Even more so than the dirty construction worker look you've been rocking lately."
Alexithymiaa: "Is that what does it for you?" He asked, stepping a bit closer to her, looking down into her face. "I'll have to keep in mind that blue collar work is your turn on."-
Covet: "It's more the fact that you can see the effort you put into what you were doing to get that dirty. That's what I find to be attractive." She told him, "But We could go make our own mess instead if you'd like."
Alexithymiaa: "You know how much I love to make a mess." He said in a lowered voice like that statement was anything more than admitting he's a slob. Looping his arm around her waist, he tugged her against him, leaning down to press his mouth to hers.-
Covet: Tae kissed him back then took his hand to take him inside, because they are obnoxious.
