Hunt you down on Monday

z2 randomizer was super fun yesterday. I really liked it because you have to understand the game really well to understand your next move, and it caused lots of exploration. Thanks to Neerrm for doing it with me and limping me through a lot of the game I didn't understand/forgot. I'd like to start doing it as a race whenever I'm home because it's a great game and lots of fun.

I've been working on Final Fantasy Legend for the upcoming SaGa 2016 and it's got me really whooped. I'm having to figure out all the manipulation for meat drops and where encounters are on SGB2 and I've been really spinning my wheels. I have a lot of work ahead of me and I'm really hoping to be able to put something together by August 13th. It's by far the most challenging thing I've had to do speedrun wise yet.

I signed up for Golden's 12 hour challenge and chose Kirby's Dreamland 2 100%. I actually just played through the game for the first time last week on my 3DS and really enjoyed it so I figured I'd give it a whirl. If I pick it up quickly enough I may run it at DeuceCon, but we'll see what happens.

Speaking of DeuceCon, submissions are open until Sunday at 11:59pm. Submissions have been pretty dead for the last 5 days or so but I think at this point I have enough to fill a schedule anyway. Lots of cool runners and games so far. If people tell you they don't know about it they're full of shit because I plastered the internet with it. The other reality is not everyone is going to get in and I'm ready to hear how I'm an asshole. The good part is this is my 3rd go around and I don't care about that kind of stuff anymore, sorry.

Other than that I'm planning on submitting Brave Fencer Musashi to AGDQ and I don't know if I'll be submitting anything else. I really want to give that game a solid showing at a 'GDQ because I love the game and I think the run is rad. Obviously I have bias, but who doesn't about their own game? Fingers crossed it can get in but I should be there regardless. Gonna have to take a week off of work, but I'm willing too. I think that'll probably be my last event I attend unless I can get to an ESA. Looking forward to throwing 'em back with the speed buds.

Aside from that life has been pretty sick. I got this giant snake on my side/leg finished so I'm pumped about that, and Ashley and I have been playing a lot of Pokemon Go. We have walked like 10km in the last two days so that's pretty cool. I went to a concert on Friday night that my buddy's band played at and we hung out and drank a bunch of beers. Hadn't seen him in almost 5 years so that was pretty rad. His band is "Turbid North" if you're interested. Other than that I woke up this morning and stepped in a fresh pile of Toki's poop barefoot. So the dogs are still doing good.

I'm off to work for three weeks tomorrow, so I'll see y'all in August. Stay cool
