  10. Klaus vs Blight
  11. Arthur vs Magnaboosh
  12.
  13. [ECs are being set up for any remainders.]
  14.
  15. Smurg is now following you.
  16.
  17. Marcel Delisle has engaged Smurg in Dangerous combat, with a capture roll of 1
  18.
  19. {RP BATTLE} Marcel Delisle is ready for battle!
  20.
  21. {RP BATTLE} Marcel Delisle is no longer ready for battle!
  22.
  23. At this point, everyone is expected to be the enemy of Achyon.
  24.
  25. But would they budge and cave in? Of course not... here it wasn't just the possessions of Docros at the stake- it was the very future of humanity, given that these precious resources are intended to be spent on the projects that would elevate them far above the rest.
  26.
  27. That would elevate the humanity as a whole.
  28.
  29. And... to see these monsters come with the deranged humans by their side? Disappointing.. but such is to be expected from the likes of them. When the charge begins, the Captain remains stoic, unwavering- a shield of the Empire that would put in his part of the effort to ensure that they do not break through.
  30.
  31. An effort he has to make,
  32. just like all the rest.
  33.
  34. Yet before him comes a giant- an Ogre, one he's heard all too well about, yet never encountered before. The gunblade, the Journey's End, is drawn- the black lightning envelopshim soon, and the cold gaze is pointed at Smurg.
  35.
  36. "How quaint..."
  37.
  38. "I'm used to fighting zealots and misguided men.."
  39.
  40. "But now I get Mire's biggest thug."
  41.
  42. A sigh. In all truth, Marcel could find better use for his time, but still.. if their line of defense were to fall, surely this wouldn't end well.
  43.
  44. The gunblade is pointed at Smurg; the steely, cold gaze of a man who has slain many turns to him - a warning in a simple sentence.
  45.
  46. A short warning, yet one that carries a potent message. He didn't need to rant and talk too much. After all, his reputation precedes him..
  47.
  48. The reputation of a terrifying man.
  49.
  50.
  51. "No further."
  52.
  53. (Marcel Delisle)
  54.
  55. The order was given by one who knew better then Smurg on these matters, Torgon. It led to the Ogre staring down exactly who he thought was the strongest out of the bunch. One of the few that actually looked to the giant, seemingly ready to fight.
  56.
  57. "Gra-gre-gro." Loudly the ogre gave a boisterous guttural laugh, as he started stepping forth with no care to their own allies.
  58.
  59. "Smurg no listen to small, me only turn to gurgle." It was obvious that the beast wasn't one to talk, especially by the way with every step they began to move faster and faster. With a speed that was very much shouldn't be given for something their size, his entire body flung itself.
  60.
  61. "Me have fun, WITH ALL SMALLS!" Launching through the air, their cloak pelt fluttered in the wind briefly...Before everything around his giant form started to be pressed down further, an innate metaphysical erupting all around him.
  62.
  63. It's force almost fully settledonto the spot where his jumping hamfists were about to land, Marcel.
  64. (Smurg)
  65.
  66. A terror of a man.
  67.
  68. With the grace of air and deadly precision of lightning, the Ogre would soon realize why exactly this Captain has terrified so many people in the past- and continues to scare so many of them even now. Could he not see the epitome that lies within the eye of the storm..
  69.
  70. Within him?
  71.
  72. He was powerful, no doubt- whenever a hit landed, it was a testament to the fact that Marcel could be battered roughly, and yet it is something that the Captain endures; the streaks of crimson mar his features and clothing alike, for these strikes either bruise deep or inflict lacerations..
  73.
  74. But they're just not enough.
  75.
  76. "I warned you."
  77.
  78. "No further."
  79.
  80. Try as he might, for as much as Smurg was a powerful gladiator of the Mire, a force to be reckoned with.. the man wielding the gunblade was too much to handle- the crimson stains are procured upon them both, yet a single misstep is all it takes.
  81.
  82. A powerful shot,
  83. and the Ogre is put down.
  84.
  85. There's dust- clouds and particles of gun smoke that blocks his vision. For as long as men like Marcel exist, the Empire would simply never fall. But as for Smurg..
  86.
  87. There's bigger trouble afoot.
  88.
  89. "Now, where were you..."
  90.
  91. In this cloud of smoke, Smurg could finally see - the cold gaze of the Captain, glowing through the dark and smoke with the potency of the storm.
  92.
  93.
  94. Suddenly, they notice Smurg.
  95. Marcel smiles.
  96.
  97. Those are the eyes of a killer.
  98. He has to run. Now.
  99. Before it's too late.
  100.
  101. (Marcel Delisle)
  102.
  103. While others invaded further into the manor, to take the valuables and more, the giant was battling against the Captain at the entryway. Fists swing through the air, cracking at the air with loud broad movements.
  104.
  105. It wasn't enough, in the least. As the powerhouse seemed to take the blows they wanted, and at other times just 'not' be there. Those moments of dodging landed on the ground, releasing quakes in every direction. Even such mighty swings didn't matter.
  106.
  107. None of their attempts did.
  108.
  109. Instead he just took blast after blast of thunderous energies, each sundering his skin and causing him to spasm.
  110.
  111. "RAAAAAAGH!" Loudly he roared, releasing an ever-encompassing torrent of gravity in every direction. Only for his entire body to grow stiff, a singular ogre-slaying shot blasted right into his chest.
  112.
  113. Shocks rippled all across his form, leading to his muscles spasming, blood erupting alongside large gashes from the sheer force his body was trying to spasm with.
  114.
  115. "SMAL-...L DUM-." The overly-angry and roaring Ogres voice stopped, as the dust settled.
  116.
  117. There he was, staring...Ready to end it all, only for Smurg to give one heated snort of the nose. There was no way he was going to stay here, having been bested...This small was too big for him, and already their giant form could be seen jumping away from the Manor.
  118.
  119. Living to terrorize another day.
  120. (Smurg)
  121.
  122. A high-pitched buzzing cackle would escape the worshipper of Nyx as she flew above the cloud of monsters that were bringing complete carnage to the Mansion. It was no easy victory, she could feel the forces of darkness being pushed by the devious population of Achyon.
  123.
  124. Yes, all of them - cowards and idiots who coward behind their walls. There was no dignity or pride to be found within a nation which strips independence from people.
  125.
  126. The cackle of two beasts continued to echo into the midnight hour, the words of Mykael were something she found great joy out of!
  127.
  128. "I give you a few years to give me Ariel, or the entire mire suffers." She mockingly repeated his demands, rubbing closed fists just below her eyes as if she was crying.
  129.
  130. Clearly she wasn't, it was all for the mere spectacle of it all.
  131.
  132. "You can try, and try, and try. Yet the Gentle Darkness will reclaim all of you."
  133.
  134. "The Shadowmire has long prepared you... But know!" A single finger came up to point towards the sky.
  135.
  136. "Our objective if the obliteration of the Vampires. Achyon can save itself the trouble of having the whole island warring against them if they simply outcast them." She let out a cackle, knowing that this was never going to happen.
  137.
  138. "Steady your walls, because even the tallest structure will not be able to prevent darkness from sweeping you all off your feet!"
  139.
  140.
  141. (Ariel Cirque)
  142.
  143. "..."
  144.
  145. The Ogre escaped.
  146.
  147. Unfortunate. The Empire has way, way too many enemies to truly be merciful- quite literally everyone is warring them, it would seem. And given that their troops can only endure for so long, perhaps it's about the time that they start slaying as many as possible.
  148.
  149. Mercy is a weakness.
  150. One they simply cannot afford.
  151.
  152. And yet, it would seem the likes of Ariel are still sticking around. Odd enough... did she assume that she would not find herself quickly engaged in combat, along with the rest, if they were to stay?
  153.
  154. The Empire does not rout, save for the most dire conditions.
  155.
  156.
  157. "Men. Those still capable of fighting."
  158.
  159. "Engage the enemy. Charge forward."
  160.
  161.
  162. As for Marcel?
  163.
  164. The gunblade is pointed directly towards Ariel; the first shot is taken.
  165.
  166. Seeing that she sticks around to talk... he'll do what anyone was supposed to do.
  167.
  168. Engage her in combat - lest she runs off.
  169. (Marcel Delisle)
  170.
  171. Blight Reave vs Anastasia
  172. Andromeda vs Adelaide
  173. Ksena vs Torgon
  174. Enrica vs Cedar
  175. Alexei vs Ariel
  176. Kael vs Dreath
  177. Falk vs Magdaboosh
  178. [Narrate]
  179.
  180. "..."
  181.
  182. The Captain isn't going to just idle around. Amidst the mess, it's noted that Enrica is in possession of Cedar.
  183.
  184. While discussions are afoot, the Captain makes an attempt to ambush Cedar as he's distracted- hovering far above with his ability of flight, hidden in the dark skies.
  185.
  186. If possible, he'll drop right on him.
  187. (Marcel Delisle)
  188.
  189. Event Admin: By now, the mansion's defenses have taken some hard blows.. shattered ornaments and hollowed out walls throughout, as well as the outer city of Achyon itself, with a nearby watchtower crumbling into shattered rock.
  190.
  191. It seems that Achyon have proven to be victorious, however. Or the odds of a true victory despite achieving their goal for the Mire is bleak in the distance.
  192.
  193. Yet on one side, the Ogre with the prettiest smile, Magdabosh, is held down. And the chronomancer with unmatched pep is held captive by Cedar. Truly a dark night.
  194.
  195.
  196. REMAINING COMBATANTS:
  197. Falk, Kael, Alexei, Marcel, Andromeda
  198. Cedar, Torgon, Blight
  199.
  200. The Empire does not leave their own behind.
  201.
  202. If it could be helped, then Marcel will find himself battling whatever force necessary to snatch Enrica away from their grasp; a sole focus for the time being, for they cannot afford having their soldiers die.
  203.
  204. Especially amidst the warfare against entire world.
  205.
  206. Whether it'd be Cedar, who's in possession of Enrica- or Torgon, to whom he tries to hand over the woman..
  207.
  208. It does not matter.
  209.
  210. The rupture of black lightning hangs heavy above the denizens of Mire. He came after Smurg, and the Ogre was defeated.
  211.
  212. What will become of them if he'd come after them too?
  213. (Marcel Delisle)
  214.
  215. Torgon is offered the child, the chains around his body already flies towards the child. Sword in hands as the attack is launched towards them. Bones already cover the armor of Torgon as he looks between Marcel and Alexei.
  216.
  217. "You know what. A soul for a soul."
  218.
  219. Torgon won't hand the girl back. He just stands behind Cedar holding the girl by the neck, he looks down at Alexei.
  220.
  221. "Come and get her. New Sir Docro."
  222.
  223. He just stares Alexei. It's pretty obvious who will fight who right now. Respect between a King and the New Sir Docro. Where's the Old One? Where's Luca? He does not know but he'll fight for Cedar and the girl.
  224. (Torgon)
  225.
  226. Deadly precision.
  227.
  228. Fluidity of the air, and grace of the storm- the tools that have slain many men, and defeated even more; a promise of the rain overhead looms closer, with every inch coming closer.
  229.
  230. A faint smell of ozone lingers..
  231. Just briefly. Until..
  232.
  233.
  234. A sudden force strikes down Torgon, swooping in.
  235. Coming from the skies, it's a deliberate attempt,
  236. all to kill him on spot.
  237.
  238.
  239. Whether he sees the deadly strike coming and evades, or perhaps he manages to endure such - it does not matter. What matters to the Dullahan is one thing..
  240.
  241. There is a determined, terrifying man after him.
  242. A supreme operator of the Empire.
  243.
  244. "..."
  245.
  246. No leeway, no speech, not even a moment is wasted. A flurry of deadly hits follow- black lightning and shredding winds, suffocating tornados spreading out in attempt to secure the area with Enrica.
  247.
  248. It doesn't matter whether it was Torgon holding her a moment ago, or Cedar attempting to secure her.
  249.
  250. Deadly force will be used to retrieve her.
  251. (Marcel Delisle)
  252.
  253. Cedar's grip loosened from the girl's cloak. It was balled, a moment longer than it should have, chains wrapping around her visage. Hesitation. He had not wanted to release her from his grasp, as he knew the fate that awaited her...
  254.
  255. I'm not a killer... I'm not...
  256.
  257. The words reverberated through his mind as emerald hues looked around, his head whipping wildly. Everyone... These Achyonites, some familiar, some not... They looked to him as though he were the devil. Something to be admonished, punished, squashed. It... This wasn't right, was it? Ogres, slain as though they were cattle. Yet, when a human's life was put into the mix - Suddenly it was a sin.
  258.
  259. These subtle nuances created what would be the tipping point in Cedar's head. Achyon was evil - not just vampires, not just Rajak. They were the monsters assuming the role of humanity, clad in their fleshy guises. Gravity settled like a blanket overthe manor - harsh, oppressive. A manifestation of that man's will. He would not take that girl's life - but he would not stand to see life taken.
  260.
  261. Life - in all forms - was precious. Just like the one growing within his lover...
  262.
  263. I'll return to you - Safely. I promise, Ektu.
  264.
  265. A wide arc of sickly green time followed the ends of his staff as it flourished, brandishing at his assailant. Was this the end? Battling for his life - Enrica's? Mortality hung in the balance, an ever looming center piece to the grand-father clock that was this battle.
  266. (Cedar Grace)
  267.
  268. Cedar Grace has been defeated by Marcel Delisle! They're unable to continue fighting.
  269.
  270. {RP BATTLE} You have WON round 2!
  271.
  272. {THIEF} You have gained 1694 Coins through your thieving skills.
  273.
  274. Marcel Delisle has lost 14 vitality from this battle for three hours.
  275.
  276. {RP BATTLE} You have WON the battle!
  277.
  278. {RP BATTLE} {INJURY} Cedar Grace has rolled 6 for injury!
  279.
  280. {RP BATTLE} {CAPTURE} Cedar Grace has rolled 1 for capture!
  281.
  282. Cedar Grace has sustained an injury in battle...
  283.
  284. Cedar Grace has rolled 1 or under: they may be captured!
  285.
  286. The supreme operative was a force to be reckoned with.
  287.
  288. Evidently, so was Cedar; a lot of the youth all across Esshar acquired formidable strength to fight against the Empire. But with so many enemies, could they truly afford to be merciful? Could they truly afford to show that weakness?
  289.
  290. When the entire world tries to fight them?
  291.
  292. Aging and old, yet experienced war veteran knew that all too well- there were no words said, no pompous speeches given when fighting against the likes of Cedar; only a growing frown at having to deal with metaphysical magics.
  293.
  294. The last time he faced a powerful magi with those..
  295. He almost died.
  296.
  297. In a twist of an irony, this could be described as a case too- the temporal magics not only ravaging him, but the force of gravity battering the old man might just be too much for him. Bones cracking, bruises forming underneath..
  298.
  299. If it's not for his experience, he might've fallen here today.
  300.
  301. But not this time; where the shredding winds go past him and fail to harm him much, in a feat of metaphysical trickery no doubt, there is a growing intensity of black lightning- both fighters were already worn down..
  302.
  303. And a single, precise blow is all it'd take.
  304.
  305. Until Cedar fades- not dead yet, but knocked out after a fight. Even if he were to awaken soon, the injuries in his body will prevent him from functioning well for a while.
  306.
  307. "..."
  308.
  309. "--Foolish."
  310.
  311. For opposing the Empire, for following the flow... just like everyone else on Esshar.
  312.
  313. War brings misfortune, and his kind of misfortune is yet to be decided. For now..
  314.
  315. Where he lies defeated, the Captain's gaze turns towards Enrica- she was wounded and defeated earlier, and now, Marcel retrieves her back.
  316.
  317. The Empire never leaves their own behind.
  318. (Marcel Delisle)
