Race denial

Whether you want to contest the validity of race or not is irrelevant. There is nothing special about the term race which makes it objectively important to empirical reality. What I mean is, even if you deny race, black people and why people are still a different something and race realists can still argue said differences extend above the neck.


People think that disputing terms is epistemologically significant, it is not. It is usually just a way to avoid the question. Moreover, this is or should be a public debate and the public knows these terms. And no amountof obfuscatory think-pieces has changed the public using race, probably because they are such clear attempts at obfuscation

It is about as significant as the common objection "iq doesn't measure true intelligencs." Still measures something important and differences will matter, especially if we really want to have the ever-requested "conversation about race" as a lot of policy and social mores is based on the position of egalitarianism
