i have a question on behealf of a friend regarding something currently going on on the site and i think its agaisn tthe rules but would like your thoughts and advice

I’m sick of how toxic the comments section is becoming in chapter 20 of Twilight’s Twinlight, so I’ve made the changes so the reason for the toxicity is no longer in the fic.

basically the sition was the fic had two characters who are clones of each other enter a relationship, beng clones they are basically blood related so yeah sort of blew up, my friend commented that the fic should have been given the tag it was going to be incest and thats what hes’s being attacked over.

thats what hes told me, so far ive told hm not to reply but hes being called a nazi, bigot and so on because of that
and people saying he should be banned from the site

ive not read the whole thing jsut a few comments and yeah hes under attack basically for saying he doesnt like Incest and had he know the story contained it, or as going to hed have skipped it.

which i think is fair critisim of soemthing hes been reading from the start

okay, hes left the blog for a few hours now, and i came to you as the rules on site say no personel attacks but wasnt sure if that meant whats going on in the comment section or not.
is there a way he can turn off notiications so hes not constnatly getting notifed of these attacks?

he can mark the notifications read with the clicky box at the top of the dropdown before reading them

or if they look for other stories sthey’ve commented on to attack them

well so far hes been attacked for his writing as his fics have been brought up
so not sure how to tell if his fics get attacked without comments

i meant like downvoting his fics and such
anywyas just for clearity all he can do is ignore them as long as it stays in that blog comment section? There is nothing you can do?

we don’t really police downvoting unless there’s proof positive it’s a coordinated effort
unfortunately, i don’t know of a way to block getting response notifications
but generally we recommend disengagement if someone is responding to you in the confines of a single comments section
