- Hayra: Hayra! The forged city of water! Quite the onerous one to enter, no matter how often one does it. Why, the others at first refused to step within a hundred yards of that tremendous bridge! I could not find the heart to call them cowards, given the slant and positioning of the great stone beast. It almost seemed as it if would be easier to ford the lake and scale that preposterously tall waterfall! Would have proved less slippery, certainly. Nevertheless, my efforts and eventually theirs were greatly rewarded! For beyond that terrible monument was a splendorous blacksmith market city outside the wildest realms of even my madcap imagination! It's lucky I'm partial to metal armor! It would have been a right shame to miss out on those marvels of smithing. I've managed to gleam a few of their secrets during my stay here, as well as a potentially troubling rumour of a stray Hero of Metal in the area...
- Zenefild: Quite a quaint village! And yet, unmistakably my favourite! The Tieflings' miniature, personal world, to which only the strongest and most prolific of outsiders are allowed entrance! Ruled by strength and merit above all else! Needless to say, the entrance test was a breeze for us. Fortunate, that; the winds and snow besieging the area surrounding the town were beginning to chip away at our bodies and morale. Bryni was rambling on, as he is wont to do, about that decrepit town hall having been the headquarters for those god-sealing Heroes of old. His superstitions are unbearable. Neverminding that, I suppose it's important enough to note, but the true attraction was my challenge for leadership of the town! Regrettably, I was no match for that Hrafnhildr gal...I fear my arm mayn't be usable for quite some time! A shame, I planned to ask her hand as well! Demonspawn she may be, but a finer lady I have never met. That green-haired boy her son played with interested me as well; I feel he'll make a powerful warrior! In the shape I'm in now, teaching may not be a bad career for a spot...
- Chulew Mountain Range: Finally, I am in shape to explore once more! And what better way to celebrate than to scale a mountain? This may just be the highest range on the continent, Sable says. I'll trust her on that. I am unspeakably more interested in that glittering snow resting in the peaks! We could view it from even the base of the chain, that silvery luminescence that aided our nightly expeditions, but never did we imagine the source. Alas, even in the well-lit midnight so graciously gifted to us, we could not truly make it to the tip of the mountains. The others could not long bear the ague brought about by the inhospitably frigid conditions of the mountain peaks. I begged them to continue, but my pleas fell on deaf ears! That boy with hair the colour of the snow, he seemed as disappointed as I... He was so eager to join us, as well. I've wondered ever since, was that lad aware of the mystery?
- Burning Cavern of Jiang: Heheh, was this ever a sight for sore eyes! No seriously, my peepers were BURNING UP! It ain't as nice as that blazing blue glow would seem to say. Pretty to look at from miles away, yeah sure, but once you get all up in there? GET ME OUTTA HERE, those'll be the first words out of your mouth! If you can speak at all! I mean really, the blue digs into your peepers more'n the actual fire. Green's more my thing, really, heh. Oh, and hotter than the plane of fire, I tell you! Ah well, I was the only one who could even get INTO this place, I gotta take pride in that! Still, all that coal on fire in the midst of that heat, it was strangely calming, beautiful even...it'd be nice if more places were like this. - Vassal of Fire Bryni, The Verdant Inferno
- Himndall: Argh, how could I let that fool write the log...if only he'd simply recounted the experience for me! Oh, no matter, on to the topic. Never has an inanimate building fooled me so ruthlessly and absolutely. Reputably abandoned some hundreds of years past, simply getting to Himndall took us days. Lost, we wandered into monsters and vagabonds aplenty, fighting for our lives. And when we arrive, finally, after toiling so? Nothing of worth! Ha! Himndall is just the festering old castle ruins it appears to be. But it was a grand adventure nonetheless! Sidestepping that, it did feel as if there was something...off about the place. While I can't place my finger on it, I'm convinced we missed something here. Treasure under the ruins? In any case, Aracel agreed with me, for perhaps the first time! We must be correct. If chance allows, one day, I will revisit Himndall and discover its secrets!
- Sandman's Tomb: What a mysterious crypt, this! Even as a group, we couldn't make it through! The monsters here, why, they put us right to sleep. How sinister! After all, who could resist the lure of the fabled treasure that is said to reside within this dungeon? None! No matter what it does; a lust for discovering a treasure's function is a crucial element, a telltale sign that one has ascended to the ranks of a true adventurer! That piece of the quest is more important than the benefits of the item! Even so, it's good fun to imagine what it could possibly turn out as. Perhaps an item to ward off sleep for eternity? Alternatively, one that induces it in foes? Still, getting past those creatures will be a trying task for anyone. Next time we visit, I'll be sure to bring some anti-sleep measures!
- Fool's Plain: I wish to ride here as quickly as possible! Oh, the remarkable things I've heard during my travels! Nomads, settlers, those sent to find them, why, even a true-blood Hero! All lost to this unassuming plain! Could it be a haunted ground? Or is there some slightly more mundane explanation? Sinkholes or confined, extremely powerful monsters, perhaps. My guess: a heinous Hero is responsible! Unless we do the investigating ourselves, I fear this mystery shall never be uncovered. Cowards, all those who refuse exploration's call!
