- So in between rooms are what I call transition hallways. This is where the next room will load.
- Now, when the next room loads, the values corresponding to your position completely change.
- My theory is that when a room loads, the previous room unloads, and the new room is placed where the old one was. The transition hall either moves, or a new one is made, and you get moved by a predetermined offset creating the illusion that the new room is next to the previous room and the illusion that you haven't moved.
- This would likely be done due to hardware limitations.
