First of all, I wanted to hate this movie so much because of all the hype. All I've heard about for weeks is how awesome this was movie was going to be so I didn't even think it would live up to all the hype. I was completely wrong. (I also didn't read any of the books so I didn't really know much about anything except the main plot.) As much as I wanted to, I honestly couldn't find anything I didn't like about this movie. The acting was very good.I was blown away with this film! Absolutely the best modern made movie in 10 years. The sheer brutality of the characters were chilling, the storyline was suspenseful, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I usually get fidgety at the theaters, but I did not move a muscle through the entire length of the film. I was blown away with this film! Absolutely the best modern made movie in 10 years. I am an avid classic movie lover of period films from the 30s and 40s, and I have to admit that the setting was very believable; clothing, hairstyles, buildings, cars...they even portray some of the effects of the depression, and the dust bowl.
