  1. HOW TO REMOVE THE PERMISSIONS FROM THE ANDROID FACEBOOK MESSENGER!
  2.
  3. Welcome to my little tutorial, before you start please be sure that you have following things:
  4.
  5. -1 an Android Smartphone-
  6. -2 a rooted phone to modify apps-
  7. -3 the app lucky patcher-
  8. -4 the app titanium backup-
  9. -5 the facebook messenger-
  10.
  11. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  12.
  13. I tested it on my samsung galaxy s4 with LTE, it should work on all Android devices.
  14.
  15. 1.) Log-in with the normal unmodified Version of Facebook Messenger
  16.
  17. 2.) Close it (Kill the task)
  18.
  19. 3.) Open Lucky Patcher, search for "Titanium Backup"
  20. Click on it, then click on "Open Menu of Patches"
  21. Now press on the "Custom patch"-Button (The first one)
  22. Choose the first it's "com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup" on my list.
  23. Then Apply and if it's successfully you can continue.
  24.
  25. 4.) Open Titanium Backup and search for the original Facebook Messenger App
  26. Create a Backup of the messenger!
  27.
  28. 5.) Open Lucky Patcher, search for "Messenger"
  29. (It should be red with the text "Nothing to patch here.")
  30. Click on it, then click on "Open Menu of patches"
  31. Now click on "Create Modified APK File" and then on "Apk with changed Permissions and Activities".
  32.
  33. 6.) The green fields show the "granted permissions" and if you click on one, it should turn red, so it's "removed".
  34. Remove everything which looks suspicious and click on "Rebuild Application!".
  35.
  36. 7.) If the folder "Android" is invisible in your file manager, get another one from the playstore and lookup
  37. the folder "Android/data/com.android.forpda.lp/files/LuckyPatcher/Modified/Messenger/*.apk"
  38.
  39. 8.) Switch to your app-list and delete the original facebook messenger.
  40.
  41. 9.) Switch to your file-manager and click on the *.apk file which is located in the folder from "step 7".
  42. If it's not installing make sure you allowed external apks from the security settings.
  43.
  44. 10.) Go to Titanium Backup and restore the Data of the Messenger, Warning! ONLY the DATA, !NOT BOTH!
  45.
  46. You're done! The App should be modified and some permissions should be removed, if the messenger crash, try to avoid permissions which are important for the messenger! I removed "Camera", "SMS", "MMS" and much more!
  47.
  48. Good luck with my tutorial, I hope there is no mistake in it :P!
