  1. Mechanics:
  2. Level 5
  3. 3 Pokemon (try to choose at least 2 from currently converted mons, but I'm open to converting one mon each for you) (feel free to make up the Proficiency arrays and defining trait for your mons)
  4. Try to pick different Trainer Classes and Specializations. I can convert most Stat and Type Aces (don't ask for Normal) for y'all.
  5.
  6. Use this version of the doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nKsiSmnjIL-2NCYgtJh_V0tFfZXaQb27b5F8qLEcjes/edit#
  7.
  8. (you don't REALLY have to digest all this fluff because let's be honest, it's a playtest one-shot and I'm just going to ferry you between battles and scenes meant to test other mechanics at a fairly fast clip :V. But if you wanna think on what you can RP chatter about and flesh out a character, that's cool too!)
  9.
  10. Fluff: Humanity didn't heed the warning signs staring them in the face for decades, and when global warming finally took off at a rapid pace, it was too late to course correct. Rising coastlines, desertification, and the mass death of the world's oceans drove humanity into a rapid decline. Some pockets of humanity survived, but the crucial infrastructure to communicate and coordinate globally had been lost - the Internet was reduced to local intranets, GPS satellites stopped working as their ground syncing stations were lost, and humanity lost the capacity for fast transcontinental travel via airplane.
  11.
  12. It's decades after the decline went into full swing, and the remaining pockets of humanity have either died off from starvation and in-fighting, or they've stabilized through developing more sustainable energy technologies and managed a comfortable, if less glamorous, standard of living. Nature has managed a stunning resurgence in the decades since humanity lost its footing, with dense forests of trees the width of skyscrapers shooting up where cities once stood and coral reefs painting the ocean floor a rainbow of colors once more. Other, more subtle but equally significant effects have been observed directly impacting human civilization - such as lava flows shifting underground, giving some pockets of humanity access to clean geothermal energy with which to rebuild.
  13.
  14. The more spiritual among the survivors proclaim intervention by a divine force of Nature, giving humanity a second chance and an opportunity to right their wrongs. Others have pointed at the explosion of growth and adaptation in Pokemon populations even as humanity declined, conjecturing that perhaps they act as Earth's "immune system" of sorts during times of crisis, allowing it to recover through terraforming the seeding the land with life.
  15.
  16. Either way, you're sent to explore lands humanity has not stepped foot in for decades now, logging what you see and identifying what may be useful to bring back to the other survivors in your community.
  17.
  18. Speaking of which, you, along with a few dozen other survivors, make your home base in a former luxury cruise liner that's been renamed Where The Heart Is, which has been fitted with advanced desalination technology, its own greenhouse, and solar panels out the wazoo. Besides stopping between the few ports that you know of populated with other survivors and facilitating trade, you go out and map uncharted territory. Which is what you're doing now. Yay!
