Speedrunning Goals | 2022

2021 was a fantastic year for me, its going to be difficult to top it but I'm gonna try my best. Here are all the goals I have for 2022.

Pokémon HeartGold Any% | 1:58 or better
- I'm currently working on a reroute of the manip path that will save a little bit of time. That coupled with general better HGSS knowledge than we had in 2018 should make this relatively easy to achieve. Getting this will also mean I achieve all 3 gen 4 glitched records! (At the same time if nobody beats either soon!)

Pokémon White 2 Challenge Mode | 3:13 or better
- I was going to work on this as my first project for the year, but I left my DS in my student accommodation and HG Any% will probably be ready by the time I actually go get it. This is another one that probably won't take me long, my 3:16:09 has 3 minutes of easy timesave, 3:12 is not as unrealistic as people probably think.

Beyond those two I'm largely unsure of what I want to do, so I'll throw down some stuff I have in the works or am thinking about doing.

Pokemon Platinum Any% | 2:39
- I had given up on this routing project for multiple reasons, but one of the major things stopping me has been resolved I think? Even if not, I do want to revisit this and see if I can at least complete it.

Pokémon Ruby Any% Glitchless | Sub 2:05:11
- Amoeba needs his cart back. I actually did start on the routing of this but its taking me forever (which is absurd given how little there is to actually do, especially by comparison to the other ones I'm doing!).

Pokémon Black Any% | 3:11
- I had some ideas for this game, that I know for certain are possible but at the moment its just not worth doing. If I get literally any route progression I'll probably do this, otherwise I'll almost certainly avoid it (other than 1 extreme circumstance).

Pokémon Diamond Any% Glitchless | No Goal
- I want to revisit this given there was some new routing that happened last year about 1-2 weeks after I dropped it. Now that I have a decent(ish) Platinum run, it makes more sense to actually play the category when I can be bothered to learn it.

Pokémon Platinum Any% Glitchless | 3:36
- Only going to do this if Crafted beats my time with Chimchar (Even without Chimchar, I still want to get 3:36, it probably just will happen much further down the line).
