31. CADET PERFORMANCE
32.
33. HANDBOOK KNOWLEDGE
34. Has the Cadet demonstrated that they have read the handbook prior to this session and have understood the material? At any point during this session, did the Cadet run into any trouble remembering the handbook contents or were they unsure of a procedure demonstrated in the handbook? Please describe how they did or did not demonstrate good handbook knowledge. [50 words min.]
35.
36. The cadet joined our unit and informed dispatch, he then called us 10-8 from Mission row. I asked him how he might respond to a store robbery call and he chose code 2 so we can catch them off guard and so we wouldn't alert the robbers he then mentioned that he would turn on the sirens when at intersections to alert traffic. The cadet knew what barriers to use for scene management and knew general procedures. He handled a 10-15 successfully but did forget to look for a license.
37.
38. BEHAVIOUR
39. How would you describe your impression of the Cadet? Were they friendly and open to your approach? At any point during your session, did you feel the Cadet was bored or inattentive? Please describe their behavior and personality. [50 words min.]
40.
41. The cadet was very friendly and polite to me and citizens. Shortly after starting our patrol he pulled someone over and conducted a 10-55, he was professional during the whole procedure and kept conversation up with the suspect talking about the weather and how their days have been and just showing that he cared and wasn't all about handing out citations and being the "bad guy".
42.
43. COMMUNICATIONS
44. Do you feel like the Cadet has communicated well throughout this session? Would you consider the Cadet capable of holding calm and collected conversations with suspects and civilians in high-stress situations? Does the Cadet speak clearly? Please give your opinion on the Cadet's ability to communicate. [20 words min.]
45.
46. The cadet was well spoken and easy to understand. He was polite and jolly making it much more pleasant for the people he had to pull over, showing an interest to them and not making them out to be criminals. He was happy to ask questions if he wasn't sure of something and seemed confident during the session.
47.
48. Driving Ability
49. Was the Cadet a competent driver? Did they follow traffic laws and adhere to our driving protocols? Do you have any issues with the Cadets driving ability? Please describe the Cadets driving ability below.[20 word min]
50.
51. The cadet followed the traffic laws with no fault. He stuck to the speed limit and yielded to stop signs and traffic lights. There were a few issues though that stuck out. He would pull over onto the sidewalk instead of the side of the road but that was cleared up after talking to him about it. During a pursuit he followed a vehicle down into the sewers recklessly, I think this was bad judgement on his part as he did not know there was such a big drop but he should have had more aware of his surroundings. All in all the cadets driving was ok patrolling but needs improvement at high speeds.
52.
53. (( ROLE-PLAY ABILITIES ))
54. Do you believe the Cadet is up to par with the rest of the department in terms of roleplay abilities? Have they demonstrated good and in-depth roleplay during your session? Has the Cadet used /me and /do in his roleplay to add more depth and immersion for you? Please give a description of the Cadet's roleplay abilities. [20 words min.]
55.
56. The cadet used a good amount of /me and /do while doing a 10-55, showing that he was using the MDC and interacting with others. I would say he did the acceptable amount for PD.
