1. >You are Anon.
2. >And today you go from a boy to a man.
3. >It's your eighteenth birthday.
4. >That's twelve years you've spent in Equestria.
5. >You don't remember much from before you came here.
6. >All you can remember is that your original parents didn't take great care of you.
7. >One night you went to sleep then you woke up here.
8. >In this great big castle.
9. >It took forever to get used to having a princess as a mom.
10. >Hell you're still getting used to it and so is she.
11. >But she tries and that's what counts right?
12. >A voice from downstairs pulls you from your thoughts.
13. >"Anon...Anon!"
14. >You walk over to the top of the steps to see your mother, and boy she does not look happy at all.
15. "Yeah, what?"
16. >"I've been calling you for fifteen minutes and..."
17. >Uh oh.
18. >She's walking up the steps and you can see the blood vessel almost bursting from her forehead.
19. "Why are you not ready? Your party is in 10 minutes and your still in your PJ's!"
20. >Your mom was a stickler for schedules.
21. >"You need to brush your hair, and put on your good suit."
22. "You mean my only suit?"
23. >If looks could kill she would be inviting the family over for a funeral instead of cake.
24. >You run to your room and get ready.
25. >You brush your hair, put on a black suit and adjust your red tie.
26. >The fedora on your hat rack was calling your name but you decide to leave it.
27.
28. >You race down the stairs and present yourself to the perturbed purple pony you called mother.
29. >She looks at you for a few seconds with wide eyes.
30. >"My little Anon's all grown up. Now go set the table."
31. "Wouldn't it be faster if you did it?"
32. >"Yes but your an adult now and I can't do every thing for you anymore."
33. >She was always terrible at making excuses about how she was teaching you to grow up or be responsible.
34. >You take a quick glance around to see all the decorations she put up.
35. >After a sweep of the room you notice a certain older brother missing from the picture.
36. "Mom, where's Spike?"
37. >She looks around before yelling up the steps.
38. "Spike get your butt down here and help your brother set up the table!"
39. >After a few seconds you hear a few quick footsteps from upstairs.
40. >You knew he was going to try to slide down the railing.
41. >Even though he only gets to the middle and falls every time.
42. >You take a seat to enjoy the inevitable show.
43. >A blur of purple and green flies down the railing only to stop and fall off halfway through.
44. >Your bursts of laughter echo throughout the crystaline hallways.
45. >He gets up fixes his little red bow tie and dusts himself off.
46. >Once you retrieve your sides from orbit you head into the kitchen and start grabbing plates.
47. >Spike follows suit and starts setting up the table.
48. >Even though you're royalty you can never remember where the silverware goes so you just dump one of each utensil on the plates.
49.
50. >By the time you're done a few of the guests had already arrived.
51. >You only wanted immediate friends and family at you're party.
52. >Not because you felt you were too important for the common folk but because you had the social ability of a mop.
53. >You were still awkward around family too, but you could hold a conversation when needed.
54. >After about 5 minutes 90% of the guests arrive and you were warmed up enough to be social.
55. >Rarity is the first to approach you.
56. >She's wearing a flashy white dress trimmed in purple.
57. >It has a slit up the back left leg exposing her cutie mark.
58. >"Happy birthday darling."
59. >She hands you box wrapped in paper with beautiful designs and brilliantly colored gems.
60. >Note to self keep this away from Spike.
61. "Thanks Rarity, you didn't have to get me anything."
62. >"Nonsense, today is a very special day. It's the day you become an adult."
63. "It's really not that special."
64. >"Trust me Anon, you'll remember this day for the rest of your life. I still remember mine."
65. "What'd you do that was so memorable?"
66. >Her cheeks turn a faint pink.
67. >"I don't believe it would be polite for a lady such as myself to share something like that."
68. >Mental note number 2 don't ask Rarity about her teen years..ever.
69. >You give her a hug and she wanders off to get a drink and talk with the other girls.
70. >A knock at the door brings a gift that none of the others could top.
71.
72. >Twilight opens the door and you see Rainbow Dash and..
73. "Scoots!"
74. >You get up and just about run across the room.
75. >S:"Anon!"
76. >The two of you meet in the middle of the room in some sort of weird mutual tackle hug.
77. >Rainbow Dash has to break the two of you up.
78. >RD:"Alright alright, break it up you love birds."
79. >She quickly lets go of you and stands back up.
80. >Getting to see Scoots always made your day better no matter how good or bad it was already.
81. >You always had feelings for Scootaloo because you could relate to her.
82. >Both of you were kind of outcasts.
83. >She's a flightless pegasus and you're a strange creature from another world.
84. >The both of you were quick to become friends.
85. >But you always hid your feelings from her.
86. >You didn't want to ruin a good thing so you kept quiet.
87. >You revert your focus to the blue pegasus in front of you.
88. "Sup Dash."
89. >RD:"Not much squirt, oh here I got you this."
90. >She tosses you a big cardboard tube.
91. >You knew what it was.
92. >She got you the same signed Wonderbolts poster every year but hey, it's the thought that counts.
93. >You give her a hug and she leaves to talk with twilight and the others.
94. >Which leaves you and Scootaloo alone.
95. >You look over her features.
96. >She was almost as lean as Dash but since she couldn't fly she had developed toned muscles in her legs and chest like an earth pony.
97. "So Scoots how have things been?"
98. >"Ok I guess."
99. >Her response is timid and quiet.
100. "What do you mean by 'I guess'?"
101. >"I don't know, I mean...I'm an adult and I still don't have a cutie mark."
102. "That's not so bad, I'm sure there's still jobs you can do."
103. >"That's the thing nopony's hiring if you don't have a talent in that field."
104. "If you don't have a job where have you been staying?"
105. >"I've been rooming with Sweetie Belle but I think she's getting tired of me laying around the house."
106. >It sucks to hear how much trouble the lack of a stupid butt stamp was causing her.
107. >If only there was some way to help.
108. >One of your genius plans struck you.
109. "Ooh idea."
110. >You grab her by the hoof and almost drag her to Twilight.
111. >She notices your approach and gives you her biggest mom smile.
112. >The type of smile that no matter how bad of a day you were having, that smile and a hug would fix it.
113. >T:"Hey Anon, are you enjoying your party so far?"
114. "I can't complain, but I have a question to ask you or rather a favor."
115. >T:"I'm all ears."
116.
117. "Can Scoots stay here for a little bit? She's been down on her luck and needs a place to stay."
118. >Her smile fades and she gets an almost worried look on her face.
119. >T:"Um..Can this wait till after the party?"
120. >The look on her face worries you and Scootaloo but you're sure it'll be ok.
121. >After about four hours the party was completly over and only you, Twi, Spike and Scoots remained.
122. >The party wasn't anything special.
123. >It was really just a general get together with cake.
124. >You approach your mother who looks completely pooped out and take a seat next to her.
125. >Spike and Scoot's were both knocked out.
126. "So mom, what was it you wanted to talk about?"
127. >She looks up at you and puts her hooves in your hands.
128. >T:"Anon, you've lived here in this castle for 12 years."
129. >T:"I've watched you grow into a fine young gentlecolt."
130. >It felt like she was dodging around something.
131. >Almost like she was buttering you up before putting the knife in.
132. >T:"You've really grown up a lot and I think..."
133. >T:"I'm not going to dance around this anymore, Nonnie I want you to move out."
134. >There it was.
135. >Your brain turns mush while a hurricane of questions tears through your skull.
136. >She was kicking you out and on your birthday none the less.
137. >You lived here for 12 years.
138. >12 years you've ran through these hall.
139. >12 years of waking up a staring at the beautiful crystal ceiling.
140. >Among the flurry of questions one stands out.
141. "W-why?"
142. >You can see deep in those lavender eyes that this was hurting her too.
143. >T:"Anon I-I think you need to learn how to take care of yourself."
144.
145. >She wasn't happy about telling you this, you could see it in her face.
146. "Learn how to take care of myself? You think in 18 years I haven't learned to take care of myself?"
147. >You felt insulted that she thought you were still just a kid.
148. >T:"Anon I.."
149. "No, If you still thought I was just a kid I could understand that, but you're kicking me out for no reason."
150. >You normally didn't act like this.
151. >Normally you were calm and understanding.
152. >But your mom doesn't normally kick you out and say you don't know how to handle yourself.
153. >T:Anon that's not true I.."
154. "Fine you want me gone, I'm gone."
155. >And with that you wake up Scoots and walk out.
156. >The cool late afternoon air felt refreshing.
157. >Whenever you needed to think you always went outside.
158. >Some times you went on walks other times you just went out and stared at the sky till your problems melted away.
159. >And unfortunately that wasn't gonna happen your problems are here to stay.
160.
161. >S:"Anon."
162. >Scootaloo's voice quickly brings you back to reality.
163. "Y-Yeah, what's up?
164. >S:"I could ask you the same thing dude, but why'd you leave your house and drag me along?"
165. "Can't a guy walk his best friend home?"
166. >You try your best to keep some bravado in your voice it fails about halfway through.
167. >S:"Of course you can but you just...don't seem all the way there, like something's bothering you.
168. >Scoots was always quick to pick up on your emotions.
169. >That's why you buried the ones for her the deepest.
170. >S:"Also What'd your mom say about me staying there?"
171. >You didn't want to tell her.
172. >You couldn't bear to see her heart sink, so you let yours.
173. "Umm, she said she'd have to think about it."
174. >Lying made you feel terrible.
175. >You damn well knew the answer was no but once again you let your heart speak for you and not your brain.
176. >You finally get to her house after a quiet fifteen minute walk.
177. >When you get to the door she turns around to face you.
178. >S:"Anon, you know if something's wrong you can always talk to me right?"
179. >You wanted to tell her then and there.
180. >Your heart was fighting for control.
181. >You wanted to pour out the problem and your feelings.
182. >But she had enough problems.
183. >Telling her your feelings could hurt how close the two of you were.
184. >And then telling her your mom was kicking you out would just worry her.
185. >So maybe keeping quiet is the best decision.
186.
187. "Yeah I know, thanks for the offer but I'm fine."
188. >The look on her face tells you she doesn't believe it, but she accept your answer and goes into her house.
189. >You decide to walk around town for a while longer and before you know it it's dark out.
190. >Since so you wandered back home.
191. >When you get back to the castle you notice nothings been cleaned yet.
192. >You look over to see your mom passed out at the table still in her elegant dress.
193. >Next to her is a half empty bottle of wine and her face is streaked with tear marks.
194. >FUCK.
195. >Today was supposed to be a happy day.
196. >A day where worries were tomorrows problem.
197. >But nope you're getting kicked out and you made you mom cry.
198. >Good job anon.
199. >You pick your mom up and carry her to her bed.
200. >Once you get to your room you grab some spare clothes and put them in a bag.
201. >After you fill up the bag you take it downstairs and put it by the door.
202. >Your too tired to go all the way back up the stairs so you crash on one of the couches in the main room.
203.
204. >Sleep comes easy after holding in all your spaghetti while near Scootaloo and carrying your mom upstairs.
205. >No dreams like always.
206. >You wake up the next morning and see the sun just peaking over the horizon.
207. >You decide to make breakfast before you go.
208. >Since you can't cook you make a big bowl of cereal.
209. >T:"Anon."
210. >A voice interrupts your search for why colts love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch.
211. >You turn around to see your teary eyed mother.
212. "Hey mom, I'm sorry for.."
213. >Before you can finish you feel her warmth against you and her wings around your back.
214. >T:"Oh Nonnie, I'm so sorry.. I-I wasn't trying to kick you out I just wanted to help you."
215. >You feel her tears roll off your shoulder.
216. >T:"When I looked into your room this morning I saw it was empty and I-I thought you.."
217. "I came by just for the night I was going to leave after breakfast."
218. >She lets go and wipes her eyes.
219. >T:"How were you going to leave if you don't know where you're staying?"
220. "I don't know actually and there's no way I'm living on the street."
221. >T:"Did you really think I would let my little stallion live on the streets."
222. "What do you mean?"
223. >T:"I wasn't going to make you leave with no place to stay."
224. >You just sit there bewildered by your stupidity.
225. >The fact you thought your mom was going to just straight kick you out made you want to kick yourself.
226. "Where am I staying then?"
227. >T:"Well let me show you."
228.
229. >You follow your mom through the town, smiling at the familiar faces.
230. >You stayed quiet most of the walk unsure what to say after yesterday.
231. >Thinking about it almost made you sick but it wouldn't leave your head.
232. >Not too long after you started the walk your mom stops and sits down facing you.
233. >She extends a hoof to her left.
234. >T:"Here we are."
235. >It doesn't look different from any other house in ponyvile.
236. >But you liked that, not sticking out was kinda your thing.
237. >You walk up open the door and..
238. >Wow, that's a lot of purple!
239. >Like you thought your mom had a lot of purple.
240. >But sweet Celestia.
241. >You were afraid if your mom went inside you'd lose her.
242. >T:"So what do you think?"
243. >You blurt out the only word in your head.
244. "P-Purple."
245. >T:"I knew you'd get lonely so I had some adjustments made so you would always remember me."
246. >You just stood there lost in the labrynth of lavender that was living room.
247. >T:"Well don't just stand there come in, it's your house."
248. >After your eyes adjust to the seemingly endless amount of purple you decide to check everything out.
249.
250. >It was a pretty nice place, two full bathrooms, one in your room and one down stairs.
251. >Strangely it had two guest rooms but you paid no attention to it.
252. >When you go back to the living room you see Twilight sprawled out on the couch.
253. "You're tired already, we didn't even walk that far."
254. >Her head pops up over the back of the couch.
255. >T:"Hey being a princess is hard work. You think I wake up looking like this?"
256. "I know what you look like without makeup, I still have nightmares about it.
257. >She scoffs and throws a pillow at you.
258. >Say what you want about her, but damn she was a good shot.
259. >The pillow hits you square in the chest causing you to fall flat on your ass.
260. >After a quick laugh you decide to ask her a few questions.
261. "So how much is this place gonna cost me?"
262. >T:"25 bits a month."
263. "25 bits a mo...how am I going pay that, I dont even have a job."
264. >T:"Don't worry about it yet, I paid off the first two months so you could look for one."
265. >She really was a great mom and think about earlier just made you feel like crap.
266.
267. >Alright Anon time to act like a grown up.
268. >You walk over and take a seat next to her on the couch.
269. "Hey mom I-I just want to say sorry for acting like a kid earlier, you were just trying to help me and.."
270. >You sentence is cut off by a hoof up against your mouth.
271. >T:"It's ok Anon, it's kinda my fault too I should have explained my self."
272. "But still thats no excuse for me to act like that. Is there something I can do to make it up to you?
273. >She looks up and thinks for a moment.
274. >T:"Well...I always wondered what it would be like to have grandchildren?
275. >You were blushing so hard you could almost see the red reflecting off her face.
276. "Wha..NO! Who would I even have them whi..NO!"
277. >T:"I don't know you've always seemed awfully friendly around Scootaloo."
278. >You see now how she earned the name Trollight.
279. >Now that you think about it she's a lot more like aunty Tia then you realized.
280. >You only blush harder at her comment.
281. >T:"You didn't think I knew about Your feelings for her did you?
282. >T:"I see the way you look at her. Why don't you just tell her?"
283. "It's not that easy."
284. >T:"Yes it is, Whats the worst that could happen, she says no?"
285. >She had a point.
286. "Yes, but what if she thinks I'm weird for it, I mean were not even the same species."
287. >T:"Just trust me Nonnie, go for it."
288. >T:"Well I'm going to go back home and let you adjust to your new house."
289. >You bend down, give her a hug and wave her off.
290.
291. >Well Anon you can do whatever you want
292. >What first?
293. >You get up and walk to the kitchen.
294. >You open the fridge to find it's empty.
295. >Welp to the market it is.
296. >You walk around the market for a bit, grabbing food and drinks.
297. >On the way home you see Scootaloo wandering around the park.
298. >You yell across the park to get her attention.
299. "Hey Scoots!"
300. >She looks over to see you, waves and starts walking toward you.
301. >Her hair is a mess and she's got a few bruises.
302. >S:"Hey Anon."
303. "What the fuck happened to you?"
304. >T:"Oh umm, well me and Sweetie got in a fight because she kicked me out."
305. "What the...When?"
306. >S:"Yesterday after you took me home."
307. "Where did you stay?"
308. >She stares down nervously and some leaves fall out of her hair.
309. "Did you stay in the fucking park?"
310. >She nods.
311. "Son of a...alright follow me."
312. >S:"Where are we going?
313. "To my house."
314. >The two of you walk back to your house.
315.
316. >You stop her at the door.
317. "Alright I want you to prepare yourself for an unholy amount of purple."
318. >She rolls her eyes.
319. >S:"Pfft, whatever."
320. >You fling the door open since she didn't heed your warning and keep your eyes on her the whole time.
321. >S:"Oh Celestia...what the...Purple...why?"
322. "My mother is wonderful and evil."
323. >You walk into the kitchen and start putting away groceries.
324. "There's a shower behind the door by the stairs."
325. >S:"Thanks."
326. >She heads off towards the shower and you take a seat on the couch.
327. >You just sat on the couch and thought about things.
328. >Where are you gonna get a job?
329. >Where's Scoots gonna stay?
330. >What does she look like in that showe...
331. >Nope nope nope.
332. >Abort_boner.exe
333. >Bad brain, you know better.
334. >None of those thoughts while she's in the house.
335.
336. >She gets out of the shower and plops down on the couch.
337. >You can't help but run your eyes up and down her form.
338. >Your face is red and Anon Jr. is fighting for freedom.
339. >S:"You ok?"
340. >Scootaloo's voice calms you down and brings you back to reality.
341. "Y-yeah fine, So where are you gonna stay."
342. >S:"I don't know maybe Bloom's place."
343. "Oooor, you could stay here."
344. >S:"No Anon, I couldn't. I don't want to disturb you."
345. "Come on Scoots, we literally tackled each other at my birthday and you think staying here will bother me?"
346. >S:"Are you sure it won't be any trouble?"
347. "As sure as Celestia raises the sun."
348. >She jumps onto you in a hug knocking the breath out of your chest.
349. >You never realized how warm or soft she was before.
350.
351. >You could stay wrapped in her hug forever but it was getting late.
352. >S:"Thank you thank you thank you.
353. "It's fine, really it's nothing."
354. >She lets go of you.
355. >S:"So how can I repay you?
356. >Your mind wanders a little bit but you ground your thoughts immediately
357. "You don't have to."
358. >S:"Fine if you don't tell me how, I'll figure it out myself.
359. "Go for it."
360. >S:"So where am I gonna sleep."
361. "There's two guest bedrooms upstairs, take your pick.
362. >The two of you head upstairs.
363. >She goes up ahead of you.
364. >and it takes every last bit of your will to try not to peek at what's behind that purple tail of hers.
365. >You were a gentlecolt afterall.
366. >S:"Alright Anon, I'll take the one next to yours."
367. "Alright night Scoots."
368. >S:"Night Anon..sweet dreams."
369. >She mumbles the last part under her breath.
370. >After today how could you not have sweet dreams.
371. >You wake up and hug the warm body pillow you fell asleep with.
372. >The bed your mom bought was just as comfortable as...
373. >Wait...pillows aren't warm.
374. >And you don't have a body pillow.
375. >You look down to see a tuft of purple nuzzled against your chest.
376. >It's_happening.png
377. >No, Anon compose yourself.
378. >You put a hand on her shoulder and gently shake her awake.
379. >S:"Mmmm..Hey."
380. >She looks up at you with her beautiful lavender eyes.
381. "Not that I mind but why are you in here?"
382. >S:"Promise you won't laugh."
383. "Why would I laugh?"
384. >S:"I don't know but.."
385. >She lets out a little sigh, and psychs herself up to tell you whatever she has to say.
386. >S:"Alright s-so..I had a terrible home life....and was t-teased and bullied to no end as a filly...
387. >She pauses trying to not tear up.
388. >S:" I may have...developed some.. some anxiety problems...and sometimes I...I get panic attacks in my sleep..."
389. >Her breaths were short and almost ragged trying to hold her composure.
390. >You never knew she had it that bad as a filly.
391. >You know how she feels.
392. >The six years you lived on earth with your parents weren't great either.
393. >S:"Th..They're easier to deal with when i'm with somepony I know."
394. "Yeah sure, you can come in here anytime you need me."
395. S:"Thank you."
396. >She snuggles a little closer, and you rub her back till both of you drift off again.
397.
398. >The next morning you wake up with your arms sadly empty.
399. >You wipe the morning crust from your eyes and go downstairs.
400. >Scootaloo is on the couch watching tv.
401. "Mornin Scoots."
402. >S:"Morning."
403. >You head to the pantry and look for your favorite cereal.
404. >Hell yeah cinnamon toast crunch.
405. >You pour a big bowl and take a seat next to your new housemate on the couch.
406. >S:"Hey, Anon about last night.."
407. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll forget all about it.”
408. >S:"No no no, it’s fine. I-I wanted to say thanks, I haven’t been that warm in a while.”
409. >The last part sent your heart fluttering.
410. >Neither of you could fly but your spirits were sky high right now.
411. >You weren’t one for superstitions but you knew a sign when you saw one.
412. >Today was gonna be a good day.
413. >You finish your cereal and put the bowl in the sink.
414. >You look around the apartment and realize how empty it is.
415. >Oh yeah, all your stuff is back at the castle.
416. “Hey Scoots I have to go get the rest of my crap from my moms place. Do you wanna help me out?.”
417. >She looks up and puts a hoof to her chin.
418. >S:"Do I want to help? No. Will I? Nnnnnnnn...sure.”
419. “Cool, we’ll leave here soon just let me put on some clothes.”
420. >You quickly go upstairs and make yourself presentable before returning downstairs.
421. “Alright. You ready Scootaloo?”
422. >S:"Yep.”
423. >She gets off the couch and follows you to the door.
424. >You open the door only to be met by your big brother.
425. >It was weird calling spike your big bro considering you were taller than him.
426. >Not by much, but enough to be noticeable.
427.
428. “Oh, hey Spike. What’s up?”
429. >Sp:” At some point today,Twilight wants you to stop by.”
430. “Well coincidentally I was just headed back there for all my stuff.”
431. >You step outside and lock the door.
432. >The walk back to the castle was wonderful.
433. >Ponyville was a beautiful place during the spring.
434. >Everypony was out and about, doing chores or soaking in the warm weather.
435. >The aroma of the food stalls permeated through the air.
436. >The Birds were singing their favorite songs.
437. >All was right in the world.
438. >You finally reach the castle and head in.
439. >Your mom is sitting at the table finishing up the last few bits of her breakfast.
440. “Hey mom.”
441. >She whips her head around in surprise.
442. >T:”Hey Nonnie, I wasn’t expecting you till later.
443. >She hops down from her chair and walks over to give you a hug.
444. “Yeah , sorry I was coming to get my stuff and I was leaving right when Spike got to my door.”
445. >T:”Oh yeah, I forgot all your stuff is still here.
446. “Wait really?”
447. >T:”No of course not, but there is something else I wanted to talk to you about.”
448. >Oh no what did you do this time.
449. >Did she find the box of playpony magazines in your closet.
450. >T:”Don’t worry Anon I found those long ago, back when they were still Spike’s.”
451. >You swear she can read minds.
452. >You and Spike turn bright red in unison .
453. >Meanwhile Scootaloo just stands there with a quizzical look on her face.
454.
455. >A devilish grin spreads across your mothers face.
456. >T:”You also might want to get some new ones, the pages are almost cemented together.”
457. >At that point Scootaloo had figured out what she meant and her face was now blood red too.
458. “Anyway! What did you want to tell me?”
459. >T:”Well, two certain aunts of yours were sad they missed your birthday and wanted to see you.”
460. >You knew exactly who she meant.
461. >And you were ecstatic.
462. >It took most of your willpower to not jump around like Pinkie.
463. >You loved spending time With Aunty Tia and Luna.
464. >Luna was a bit more...responsible than her older sister.
465. >That’s not to say Celestia is irresponsible.
466. >But when she’s out of the public eye she can be a bit like an unsupervised foal.
467. >You’ll never forget the time Luna actually put the two of you in time out.
468. >You sat and stared at the wall diligently.
469. >Celestia on the other hand drew a picture of Luna in a banana costume.
470. >Needless to say Luna was less than pleased and made both of you scrub the wall clean.
471. >T:”Hello, Equestria to Anon.”
472. >Twilight’s voice pulls you from your memories.
473. “Yeah, what’s up?”
474. >T:”You were just standing there giggling, but anyway when will you be ready to go?”
475. >You look back at Scootaloo.
476. “Hey, Scoots you wouldn’t mind if I left you alone for a day or too, would you.”
477. >S:” I’m not too used to being alone but I’m sure I could handle it.”
478. >She gives you a half smile which quickly fades.
479. >You didn’t want to leave her alone but you didn’t want to miss any time with your aunts.
480. “Hey mom, do you think they would mind if I brought Scoots along?”
481. >T: “I don’t know Anon, They were really looking forward to spending time with you.”
482.
483. >S:”I’ll be fine Anon, go enjoy your time with your aunts.”
484. “Alright Scoots if you say so. Alright mom I’m ready whenever then.”
485. >T:”Spike send Celestia a letter saying Anon’s ready to be picked up.”
486. >He pulls out a quill and paper, writes it down and sends it.
487. >You’ll never get used to how cool it was when sent letters.
488. >You give Scootaloo the keys and she heads back home.
489. >It almost hurt to see her go.
490. >She looked sad to go too.
491. >You walk up to your room and grab your old mp3 Vinyl gave you.
492. >It had like 10 songs on it.
493. >Most of them meant something special to you.
494. >Others you just liked.
495. >You hit shuffle.
496. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NttqH_mBAa0
497. >Damn, you almost forgot about this song.
498. >As much as your mother tried to help sometimes the world would overwhelm you.
499. >Sometimes you’d get knocked down and just want to stay there.
500. >But your aunty Celestia, even through all her childlike tendencies she was always there for you.
501. >She used to sing this song to you when ever you were sad or depressed.
502. >She always seemed to pull you out of the hole when you were out of every ponies reach.
503.
504. >You hear your name being called from downstairs.
505. >Was your ride already here?
506. >How many times had you listened to that song.
507. >You pocket the mp3 player and head downstairs.
508. >T:”Hey Non...have you been crying?”
509. >You start to say no but the lump in your throat tells you otherwise.
510. >You wipe your eyes.
511. “No no..I’m fine.
512. >T:”Ok Nonnie. If you need me just send a letter.”
513. >You bend down and give her a hug.
514. “I know I don’t say it much but I love you mom.”
515. >T:”I love you to Nonnie, now go you don’t wanna keep Celestia waiting do you.”
516. >She lets out a little giggle.
517. >Now comes your least favorite part of going to Canterlot.
518. >The flying.
519.
520. >You step outside and see two white, armor clad pegasi attached to a chariot.
521. >They see you and bow.
522. >”Hello Anonymous, we will be your ride to Canterlot today.
523. >The whole bowing thing annoyed you.
524. >You weren’t any different from those two.
525. >Ok except for being a different species.
526. >But still.
527. “Alright guys, you can get up you don’t have to bow to me.”
528. >The two of them stand back up.
529. >”Our apologies Sir Anonymous.”
530. “Just Anon will be fine, also just treat me like a friend I’m not anyone special.”
531. >You could see the tension relax in their shoulders.
532. “So what are your names?”
533. >”I’m Sergeant Flowers and that is Corporal Silver Shield”
534. “Good to meet you boys, lets get going.”
535. >F:”Yes of course.”
536. >You get into the chariot and hold on for dear life.
537. >You're not afraid of heights but...you are afraid of falling.
538. >You strike up some small talk with the guards to keep your sanity.
539. >After about twenty minutes you finally touch solid ground.
540. “Oh sweet ground how I’ve missed you.”
541. >You turn around salute the guards and walk into the castle.
542. >When you open the doors you notice it’s surprisingly empty.
543. “Aunt Tia...Luna! Are you here, it’s Anon.”
544. >No response.
545.
546. >You were getting nervous.
547. “Tia, Luna this isn’t funny.”
548. >You feel a hot breath on your neck.
549. >”What’s not funny?”
550. “Sweet fucking Celestia.”
551. >You fall over and look at the being that made you jump out of your skin.
552. >”That’s the name...also watch your mouth, how would our mother feel if she heard you say that.”
553. >You look up to see the great Princess Mol..Troll.. Celestia.
554. >She’s wearing a pullover hoodie and…
555. >Socks
556. >Long striped socks on only her back legs.
557. >Dammit...you swear she does this on purpose.
558. “Why do you do this to me?
559. >She levitates a banana out of the pocket and peels it.
560. >C:”Because you’re adorable when you're conflicted.”
561. >She offers you a hoof and helps pull you back up.
562. >C:”So are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna give your aunty Tia a hug?”
563. >You sigh and give her a big hug.
564. >She was always super warm.
565. >C:”So my little Anon is 18 years old. I remember when you were as big as a filly and now you’re as tall as me. Happy belated birthday by the way.”
566.
567. “Thanks Tia, where’s Luna?”
568. >C:”Oh Ms.Moonbutt, she’s out getting some stuff for later.”
569. “Don’t you have ponies to do that for you?”
570. >C:”Yes but just because we have servants doesn’t mean we’re lazy.”
571. >You give her the “Oh really” face.
572. >C:”Ok it doesn’t mean Luna’s lazy.”
573. “Is aunt Cady here too?”
574. >C:”Sadly no she had business to attend to but she did leave you a present, follow me.”
575. >You follow your aunt into what you could call a living room.
576. >It had a couch, a tv, a piano and a few other things in it.
577. >On the floor sits a small box wrapped in pink, white and purple paper.
578. >Just like Cadence to wrap a present in her colors.
579. >C:”Go on open it, I’ve been dying to see what’s inside.”
580. >You walk over to the small box and unwrap it.
581. >Inside there is a note on top of whatever is inside.
582. >It reads: Dear Anon, Happy 18th birthday you’re finally an adult. Sorry I missed your birthday but here’s something to keep you busy while you search for the mare of your dreams.
583. From the Kingdom of love with love, Cadence <3”
584. >You remove the note and look at what was hiding beneath.
585. >Magazines.
586. >You pull them out and count them.
587. >10.
588. >10 issues of playpony magazine and a playpony calender.
589. >You open the calender and flip through the pages.
590. >Note to self skip Febuary and June.
591. >You enjoy your aunts just not like that.
592. >C:”What’cha got there?”
593. >Before you can say anything she’s already pulled them out of your hands and looking through them.
594.
595. >She starts sorting them into two piles.
596. >C:”Crap, crap, crap, good, really good, great, my personal favorite.
597. >The adults in your life are all mentally 12.
598. >C:”Ohh the calendar, did you see June?”
599. “Sadly yes, anyway what are we doing today?”
600. >She pushes aside the two stacks and walks over to you.
601. >She talks in a whisper.
602. >C:”Anon come closer.”
603. >You reluctantly follow her orders.
604. >C:”Closer.”
605. >Again you do as your told.
606. >She puts a hoof to your lips.
607. >C:”Shhh, all in due time my nephew, all in due time.”
608. >She falls back laughing her maniacal princess laugh.
609. >When she falls her hoodie rides up exposing her slender stomach.
610. >She was a very pretty mare.
611. >If you didn’t know any better you wouldn’t think she was any older than Cadence.
612. >You always wondered why she never found herself a stallion.
613. “Hey Tia.”
614. >C:”Yes Anon?”
615. “How come you never found yourself a stallion? I mean I doubt you’d have any trouble finding one , they’d probably throw themselves at you.”
616. >C:”Maybe I don’t swing that way, maybe Luna is the only pony I need in my life.”
617. >You never thought about it like that.
618. >Wait what was that last part.
619. >Celestia can’t keep her bluff and cracks up at the look on your face.
620. >She manages to get her sentence out between fits of laughter.
621. >C:”I...I can’t… I can't believe you thought I was serious…Hahahaha.”
622. >After her she calms down she gives you real answer.
623. >C:”I’ll tell you the truth Anon, I’ve thought about it but...I would out live any possible suitors and I think some of them would get caught up in my power.”
624. >You could see this was something she wasn’t thrilled to talk about.
625. “Sorry if this is something you didn’t want to talk about.”
626. >C:”No it’s fine. Honestly love isn’t something I have thought about for centuries.”
627. >C:”Now how about we enjoy your time here and start the shenanigans.”
628. “Sure Tia, lets get to it.”
629.
630. >C:”So what first, bucket of water above the doorway, A bit on the end of a fishing line?
631. “Tia please I’m an adult now, it’s time for some more mature pranks.”
632. >C:”Like what?”
633. “Putting saran wrap across Luna’s toilet.”
634. >C:”The student has become the teacher.”
635. >A ghoulish grin spreads across your faces as you grab the saran wrap from the kitchen.
636. >The two of you run to Luna’s room and set up the prank.
637. >After the set up is done you and Celestia make your way back to the living room and wait for your prey.
638. >Luna returns home levitating a big box with frost on the sides.
639. >C:”Hey Luna, would you like some help.”
640. >L:”No thanks, we have got it.”
641. >She puts the box in the refrigerator.
642. >L:”So has our favorite nephew arrived.
643. >Celestia looks over to you and puts a hoof to her lips.
644. >C:”Not yet he’s running a bit behind I’m afraid.”
645. >She levitates over a piece of paper and pencil.
646. >She quickly scribbles on it then shows it to you.
647. >On the paper it says one word.
648. >Hide
649. >You put your hands out in a “why” motion.
650. >She give you a stern look and mouths “Just do it.”
651. >You hide in the broom closet by the kitchen.
652. >There are a few slits in the door you can see out of.
653. >You see Celestia walking around the kitchen chatting it up with her sister.
654. >C:”So how was the shopping?”
655. >L:”It was terrible, thou would think they have never seen a princess before.”
656. >Celestia sticks her head into the fridge looking for something.
657. >C:”Yeah, I know what you mean.”
658. >She pours a glass of milk and sits it way too close to the edge of the counter.
659. >No..she wouldn’t.
660. >Celestia takes a hoof and pushes the milk, sending it into a freefall.
661. >The glass shatters and milk flies everywhere.
662. >Luna jumps at the sudden sound.
663. >C:”Oops, Luna be a dear and grab the mop from the closet.
664. >Luna rolls her eyes and heads to the closet.
665. >Now’s your chance.
666. >Your whole life leading up to this moment.
667. >You crouch down so you can spring up and out of the closet.
668. >She puts a hoof on the handle and opens it.
669. “BOO!!”
670.
671. >You are still Anon.
672. >But now you have a mop and a bucket.
673. >Mental note number...who knows at this point.
674. >Moon princesses do indeed have weak bladders and should not be startled.
675. >Even though this was Celestia’s idea, she didn’t get in any trouble.
676. >Stupid sun horse.
677. >C:”I heard that.”
678. >You didn’t even say anything out loud.
679. >She rounds the corner.
680. >C:”No, but you were thinking it.”
681. >You realize more and more why Twilight is like she is.
682. >Stupid sun horse.
683. >C:”Still heard that, now hurry up and clean your mess, we got partying to do.”
684. “How is this my mess?”
685. >C:”You caused it, you clean it.”
686. >Stupid…
687. >Nope she can hear you, don’t say it.
688. >C:” I can't believe she did that, I haven't laughed that hard in ages.”
689. “Can’t you help me, this is your fault too.”
690. >C:”Ugh fiiiine.”
691. >She grabs another mop and the two of you finish in about ten minutes.
692. >Luna returns to the living room.
693. >L:” hast thou learned a lesson, Anon.
694. “Yes, if you jump out of a closet you just may need a mop or two.”
695. >L:”Yes that is… no, just..Just give your aunt a hug.”
696. >You stand up from the couch and and give her a hug.
697. “I’m sorry Luna..but I have missed you though.”
698. >L:”And we have missed you too.”
699. >C:”Oh bravo… Beautiful.”
700. >You look over to see Celestia fake blowing her nose into a tissue like she was crying.
701. “I hate you.”
702. >C:”Love you too Nonny, now lets start the partying.”
703. >She trots into the kitchen.
704. >You and Luna follow.
705. >Celestia pulls three brown bottles out of the fridge.
706. >L:”Sister I understand you want to ‘party’ but you can’t break the law, Anon is still underaged.”
707. >C:”Oh come on, I’m the damned ruler of this place and no one has to know.
708. >She tosses the bottle toward you and you catch it.
709. >C:”have you ever had hard cider before Anon?”
710. “Are you kidding me, my mom would kill me if she caught me with one of these.”
711. “But what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her.”
712. >C:”To 18 beautiful years and hopefully many more.”
713. >You all raise your drinks in the air, Luna the least enthusiastic out of the three of you.
714. >You get wasted after 4 meanwhile Tia is on her 8th or so.
715. >Luna was worse than you, it only took her a bottle and a half.
716. >Tia was dancing in the corner with her hoodie on her back legs and a sock over her horn.
717. >Luna’s sitting on the couch staring at the tv, which is turned off.
718. >C:” Hey Nonny..*hiccup*.. you don’t have a girlfriend right *hiccup*?
719. >Her speech is slurred and her hiccups are adorable.
720. “Nnno w-why?”
721. >She lets out a giggle and skips over to you.
722. >She puts a hoof on your leg.
723. >C:”hehe, because I wanted to do this.”
724. >Before you could question what she was up to she had planted her lips on yours.
725. >So soft.
726. >So warm.
727. >The higher function of your brain reminds you that she’s your aunt.
728. >Well you’re technically not related.
729. >No..no this isn’t right.
730. >You push her off you a little harder than you thought you did.
731. >She lands on the floor with a yelp.
732. “Crap, Tia i’m sorry.”
733. >C:”It’s ok.”
734. >It’s probably time to head to bed before this gets any weirder.
735. “Come on lets get you to bed.”
736. >You help her up and support most her weight.
737. >You walk her down a long hallway and bring her two a set of double doors with a sun emblazoned on it.
738. >Once you open the doors you place her on the bed and start to leave.
739. >You get the doors and feel a warm tug on your hand.
740. >You look down to see your hand wrapped in bright yellow magic.
741. >C:” Anon..can you stay in here with me?”
742. “You’ll be fine, you’re a big mare.”
743. >C:”Please Anon, I haven’t slept next to something warm in centuries, so please.”
744. >You give up and crawl into bed with her.
745. >Wow she is warm.
746. >She’s like a heater.
747. >Is this how Scootaloo felt next to you?
748. >C:”Thank you Anon.”
749. >You bury your face in her furry chest and pass out.
750.
751. >You are Scootaloo.
752. >Aaand you missed another chance to tell him.
753. >Come on Scootaloo it can’t be that hard, just tell him how you feel.
754. >No, he’d probably think you’re weird.
755. >You’re not even the same species.
756. >And who would want a pegasus that can’t even do the thing that makes her a pegasus.
757. >You reach the house and put the key in the door.
758. >Ahhh purple!
759. >Nope, not gonna get used to that.
760. >After your eyes adjust you somberly walk over to the couch and climb onto it.
761. >What are you gonna do for the two or three days he’s gone.
762. >There’s never anything on tv.
763. >And sleeping all day just isn’t healthy.
764. >Well you could always…
765. >NOPE, NO, BAD Scootaloo!
766. >not in Anon’s house.
767. >You turn on the tv and flip through the channels.
768. >There’s nothing on so you turn off the tv and head upstairs to sleep.
769. >You enter your room and jump onto the bed rolling yourself into a blanket burrito.
770. >You lay there for who knows how long.
771. >Minutes.
772. >Hours.
773. >And sleep won’t take you.
774. >You unwrap yourself and head into Anon’s room.
775. >You hope he doesn’t mind you in his room without him there.
776. >But it’s not like he’ll ever know.
777. >You lay down on your side with your face in his pillow.
778. >Hehe, it smells like him.
779. >He was so warm on the night you spent in here.
780. >You let your mind wander about, but it always returns to him.
781. >His face.
782. >His voice.
783. >This level of infatuation wasn’t healthy.
784. >But a girl can dream can’t she?
785. >Maybe one day it won’t just be a dream.
786. >Maybe one day, every night he’ll keep you warm.
787. >Maybe he’ll do more than keep you warm.
788. >You feel chill bumps race up your spine and blood rush to your face.
789. >You pull your hooves to your chest and wrap your wings around you to keep warm.
790. >A short sigh escapes as you ease toward sleep.
791. “Yeah...maybe.”
792.
793. >You are Anon.
794. >And fuck your head hurts.
795. >Also why is the sun so bright?
796. >You snuggle closer the Celestia hoping the evil light outside would go away.
797. >Wait, how did she raise the sun without getting up?
798. >You guess after thousands of years she can do it in her sleep.
799. >The fluffy body you were using as a pillow starts to stir.
800. >C:”Mmmmm...Morning Anon.”
801. >She rolls over and opens a drawer on her nightstand.
802. >Out of it levitates two pairs of sunglasses.
803. >C:”Put these on... you’ll thank me later.”
804. “Don’t you have any meds for this horrible headache?”
805. >C:”No sorry, I’m not allowed to have anything that could alter my decision making.”
806. “What about the cider?”
807. >C:”I snuck it in here for last night.”
808. “Magic?”
809. >C:“Nope, no spells for it either.”
810. >She rolls off the bed and stumbles to the door.
811. >C:”C’mon i’m hungry.”
812. >You get out of the bed and walk to her with the kitchen.
813. >Luna is asleep on the couch with her butt draped over the back of it.
814. >C:” Anon, here this should help.”
815. >She hands you a cup of coffee.
816. “Thanks.”
817. >L:”Uuuuuuggggghhh.”
818. >You hear Luna waking up in the other room.
819. >You look over to see her running with a hoof to her mouth.
820. “Wow, I guess she really can’t handle her...OH FUCK the toilet!
821. >C:”Shhh Anon why are you...SHIT!”
822. >You and Tia take off down the hall.
823. >C:”Luna don’t you..”
824. >She’s cut off by a loud retching sound followed by.
825. >L:”OH...WHY!?”
826.
827.
828.
829.
830. >You both reach the door too late.
831. >C:” Anon get the mop....again.”
832. >You run to get the mop plus a bucket and run back.
833. >When you enter Luna’s room you see Celestia has put Luna’s hair into a pony tail
hehe pony tail
and is tying up the saran wrap full of a thick brown liquid.
834. >C:”Thanks Anon, i’ve got it from here.”
835. “You sure?”
836. >C:”Yep, I got it.”
837. >She ties up her hair and puts a hoof on Luna’s while levitating the mop around cleaning up the mess on the floor.
838. >It’s funny to see Celestia take the adult position.
839. >You’re so used to her acting like a foal you forget she’s the oldest.
840. >Luna finally stops puking and you all return to the living room.
841. >L:”We are never drinking again.”
842. >C:”Didn’t you say the same thing after you came home with 2 stal-”
843. >Luna puts a hoof to Celestia’s mouth to keep her secret, albeit too slowly.
844. >Tia gets an evil look in her eye
845. >C:”Oh sorry..too much?”
846. >L:”Sister please, don’t pretend you’ve never even brought one stallion home.”
847. >C:”Nope not drunk or sober.”
848. >Wait, does she mean what you think she means?
849. “Tia, you’re telling me you’ve never..”
850. >C:”Nope, through many generations not even one stallion has conquered your aunt Tia.”
851. >That’s surprising but not really at the same time.
852. >She was pretty but hard-headed and childish.
853. “So what happened with that cake you brought Luna?”
854. >Celestia cranes her neck to look into the kitchen.
855. >C:”Well most of it’s on the floor, but if you really want some I won’t stop you.”
856. “Ugghh, nah i’m good.”
857.
858. >The three of you just sit and relax till the headaches go away
859. >Luna has her head up against Celestia’s shoulder and Tia has her head resting on Luna’s.
860. >You knew they didn’t get to be together much since the had exact opposite schedules.
861. >It must be hard not being able to just sit down and talk with your sibling.
862. >Even though you and Spike don’t talk much the little interactions you had reminded you he was at least there.
863. >Tia went to bed when Luna woke up and vice versa.
864. >It’s almost like they’re in the same house but different universes.
865. >You didn’t want to interrupt the moment so you sat quiet, letting the cozy silence do the talking.
866. >You get up and join your aunts in a big, warm group hug.
867. >Celestia wraps a wing around you.
868. >Her warmth reminds you of when you were younger.
869. >When you first came to this world scared and alone.
870. >Tia would hold you or sing to you till you fell asleep when Twilight couldn’t handle you.
871. >Celestia the first to break the silence.
872. >C:”So Anon, you ready to head home?”
873. >You hadn’t said anything to indicate you were but you knew she wanted some time with her sister.
874. >She deserved it.
875. “Yeah Tia, I think i’m ready.”
876. >She hugs you a little tighter before hopping off the couch.
877. >You quickly grab your present and follow her and Luna outside.
878. >She talks to a few guards and they leave presumably to get a chariot.
879. >The guards come back with the same chariot you came in.
880. >Same guards too.
881. >C:”Take care Anon.”
882. >L:”We hope to see you again soon...Nonny”
883. >Funny to hear Luna say that, she usually stuck to Anon or Anonymous.
884. >You get in the chariot and leave for Ponyville.
885.
886. >You arrive in Ponyville right in front of your mothers house.
887. “Thanks guys.”
888. >The two pegasus give you a nod and take off.
889. >You should check on Scootaloo, she really didn’t want you to leave.
890. >After a quick jog you make it to your house.
891. >You unlock the door and see her on the couch.
892. “Sup Scoots.”
893. >”Oh, hey Anon...wait ANON!”
894. >And you’re on the floor.
895. >”Anon I missed you, I missed you, I missed you.”
896. >Jeez, she was like a puppy.
897. “I missed you too Scoots, but could you let me stand up.
898. >”Oh, sorry.”
899. >She put out a hoof to help you up.
900. “Now if you don’t mind I’d like to change into something a little more comfortable.
901. >She hops back on the couch and you go to your room.
902. >There’s a bunch of boxes in the corner, must be the crap from your room.
903. >You notice there’s a strange lack of sheets on your bed.
904. >After slipping into a tee shirt and some shorts you go back downstairs.
905. “Hey Scoots what happened to my sheets?”
906. >”They’re in the washer.”
907. “Why I only slept in them twice, what did you pee in them or something?”
908. >She blushes and hides her face.
909. >“It wasn’t pee. ”
910. >You raise an eyebrow but don’t question it.
911. “Wanna help me unpack those boxes tomorrow, there’s a lot of them.”
912. >”Sure.”
913. >Her eyes are glued to the tv.
914. >Some old pony gangster movie.
915. “Oh yeah, what about your stuff from Sweetie’s, when do you want to go get that?”
916. >”Don’t have anything there.”
917. >
U wot m8
918. “How could you not have anything, you lived there for how long?
919. >”All my stuff is back at my parents house, and thats the last place I ever want to go again.”
920. >As she says that the hair on the back of her neck stands up.
921. >Damn was it that bad that she doesn’t even want her childhood memories.
922. “Hey Scootaloo, what was your childhood like that you don’t even want your stuff from you own house?”
923. >”I don’t want to talk about it.”
924. “C’mon it can’t be that bad.”
925. >”You heard me.”
926. “Please.”
927. >She turns off the Tv and looks straight at you.
928. >You hit the wrong button.
929. >She looks pissed.
930. >”Fine you wanna know why I don’t want want to see that place again? My mother was an alcoholic and so was my father. Between them fighting and fucking I fell through the cracks on their priority list. I sure as hell didn’t want to be home so I stayed at Dash’s house, and when I felt I overstayed my welcome there was usually a nice park bench with my name on it. There does that give you a good idea of why I don’t want my shit? Does that give you a good idea of why I don’t let anyone get too close to me? Why I grew apart from all my friends.”
931. >Her eyes were a waterfall at that point.
932. >It hurt to see her hurt.
933. “Scoots I’m…”
934. >She put her head against your chest.
935. >You put your arms around her, hoping you could do anything to stop the tears.
936.
937. >Hers and your own.
938. >You remember the song Tia always sung to stop you from crying.
939. >You weren’t an amazing singer but bombs away.
940. https://www.youtube.com/watch/?v=NttqH_mBAa0
941. “One life,Is not a long time.”
942. >You rock back and forth with her head between your chest and shoulder.
943. “When you're waiting, For a small sign. Patience, Is hard to find. Shadows, Seem to fill your life.”
944. >Her crying slows down and she looks up at you with her beautiful lavender eyes.
945. >You skip to the chorus because it reminds you of her so much.
946. “Dry your eyes now, baby; Broken wings won't hold you down. You'll take flight soon, baby.
947. You'll be lifted up, And you'll be there.”
948. >You wipe the tears from her eyes
949. >”Anon..I.”
950. “Shhh, It’s ok you don’t have to say anything else.”
951. >”Thank you.”
952. >The two of you sat there in silence.
953. >Neither of you wanting to give up the warmth of the other.
954. >”Hey..Anon.”
955. “Yes.”
956. >She lets out a slightly unsteady sigh, still recovering from her outburst.
957.
958. >You are Scootaloo.
959. >And you just told Anon something you never thought you’d ever say.
960. >You always thought if you told anypony they would believe you.
961. >You let your emotions take over.
962. >But it was kind of nice, you needed a good cry.
963. >You’ve been holding on to these feelings since you were a filly.
964. >Anon was there to dry your tears.
965. >To keep you warm and safe.
966. >It was now or never, you had to tell him.
967. >No more hiding it, from yourself or him or anypony else.
968. “Hey...Anon.”
969. >”Yes.”
970. >You sigh, you voice still quivering from your earlier sobs.
971. “I-I’ve been wanting to say this for so long.”
972. “What?”
973. “Anon I-I’ve always enjoyed our time together.”
974. >“Me too.. but i dont...”
975. >Spit it out girl, you have to tell him.
976. >It’s sink or swim and you’ve done enough sinking.
977. “Anon..I really really like you, I have for awhile now but I’ve always been to afraid to..mmph-”
978. >You sentence is stopped by a slight pressure on your lips.
979. >It’s warm and comforting, a feeling you could get lost in.
980. > You feel the pressure back off and open your eyes to see Anon with is eyes wide open.
981. >”Scoots I’m so sorry I didn’t.. I don’t..”
982. >You stop him by returning the favor.
983.
984. >You are Anon...again.
985. >And it’s happening.jpeg
986. >Your first kiss, and it’s with your favorite mare.
987. >You never want this moment to end.
988. >But dammit you need oxygen.
989. >You pull back, both of you short on breath.
990. >You look around the room and notice how dark it is outside.
991. >How long were you to doing that.
992. >It felt like seconds but must have been an hour or so.
993. >You turn back to the orange mare that was practically in your lap.
994. >She’s staring at you with her beautiful purple eyes, her hair is slightly messy and her tongue was lolled out.
995. >She had a pleased look on her face.
996. “Was it good for you too.”
997. >She snaps out of her trance and hits your shoulder.
998. >S:”Shut up.”
999. >She rolls over onto her back with her head in your lap.
1000. >You grab the remote and turn the tv back on.
1001. >The gangster movie from earlier is back on and Scootaloo is immediately glued to the Tv.
1002. >You both sit quietly except for the occasional moan from you running your hand through her chest fur.
1003. >She’s out before the movie ends.
1004. >You try to fight it but sleep always wins in the end.
1005. >You wake up in a strange bedroom.
1006. >It’s nothing like the your new or old room.
1007. >It looks like a room a 6 year old would live in.
1008. >Bright pastel green walls with blue trim.
1009. >Shelfs and chests full of toys, toys and more toys.
1010. “Mom...Scoots...Hello, Anybody there?”
1011. >You hear footsteps coming up stairs from behind the door.
1012. >You quickly notice the lack of a second pair of feet.
1013. >Whatever it was it was bipedal like you.
1014.
1015. >The door opens and a tall blond woman walks in.
1016. >Her face is obscured by her hair.
1017. >”Oh my poor baby, did you have a bad dream again?”
1018. “Who are you?”
1019. >The strange woman picks you up and rocks you back and forth like a baby.
1020. “Put me down and answer my question.”
1021. >”Ohhh, don’t be so fussy.”
1022. >She sweeps the hair away from her face.
1023. >No
1024. >”What’s wrong my little baby?”
1025. >NO!
1026. >You try screaming but all attempts come out as muffled yelps.
1027. >Your heart is beating faster than it ever has before.
1028. >”Is my widdle baby scared of something?”
1029. >That’s a face you haven’t seen in 12 years.
1030. >It’s your real mother’s face...but not.
1031. >Her eyes are rolled back, the veins are spread across her face like cobwebs.
1032. “Mom! Scoots! Somebody!”
1033. >“Who are you yelling for Nonny? YOU’RE MOTHERS RIGHT HERE!
1034. >You wiggle out of her arms and make a break for it.
1035. >The closer you get to the door you get the farther it got from you.
1036. >You kept running but she had you cornered.
1037. >Your body slumps against the wall and you cover your mouth knowing that screaming would only make it worse.
1038. >Your eyes shoot open.
1039. >BATHROOM!
1040. >You get up careful to not wake Scoots but quick enough to not lose it all over her.
1041. >When you get to the bathroom you lose it all.
1042. >The cake, the cider, the coffee, everything.
1043. >Your entire body was shaking, be it from the dream or the puking.
1044. >You didn’t care you needed to get outside now.
1045. >You open the door and walk to the park, your mind still just as clouded as earlier.
1046. >Why now.
1047. >These dreams stopped years ago, you haven’t had one since you were about 10.
1048. >You take a seat on a bench and trace the beautiful constellations your aunt had placed for tonight.
1049.
1050. >A sun, A moon, and a question mark.
1051. >You knew this was for you.
1052. >You were so scared when you first got here you forgot your name.
1053. >You still don’t remember what it was.
1054. >Celestia was the one to name you.
1055. >You’ll never know why she chose Anonymous but you couldn’t think of a better name for you.
1056. >A name that means no name.
1057. >You never did anything to make a name for yourself.
1058. >:”Anon..Anon!”
1059. >A familiar voice snaps you from tracing the stars.
1060. >You stand up to see Scootaloo out looking for you.
1061. “I’m over here Scoots.”
1062. >You wave her over and she trots to you.
1063. >”Why are you out here in the cold, I woke up and you were gone. It scared the hell out of me.
1064. “Sorry I-I needed to come out here...I needed to think.”
1065. >:”Why, what happened?”
1066. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
1067. >:”Anon, a few hours ago I poured my heart out to you, I told you something I haven't told anypony in 23 years...If this, me and you, is gonna work out, it’s only fair if you do the same.”
1068. >You take a deep breath.
1069. “I had a nightmare.”
1070. >:”Thats it, you had a nightmare so you puke your guts out and ran from the house?”
1071. “It’s a nightmare I used to get as a kid, my mother...my real one, would chase me and try to hurt me...but right before she got to me I would always wake up screaming...the older I got the more I could control the screaming, but I never got over the puking.”
1072. >:”Have you tried telling Luna about this?”
1073. “Twilight did, but anything Luna tried didn’t work.”
1074. >”Why did it stop?”
1075. “I don’t know.”
1076. >You could see and hear Scootaloo shivering.
1077. >Was it really cold out? You hadn’t noticed.
1078. “Here take this.”
1079. >You pull off your shirt and give it to her.
1080. >:”Anon I can’t, if I do then you’ll be cold.”
1081. “It’s fine, and plus I can’t have you getting sick so just take it.”
1082. >She takes the shirt and puts it on.
1083. “Better?”
1084. >:”A little.”
1085. “Lets go back home, I’ve got some cleaning to do.”
1086. >The two of you walk back huddled together.
1087. >You stayed close to her to keep her warm more than yourself
1088. >When you get home you tell Scoots to wait for you In your room.
1089. >You threw your blankets in the dryer and cleaned the mess you made before brushing your teeth and joining your girl upstairs.
1090. “You still awake?”
1091. >:”Yeah.”
1092. “Here I got somethin for ya.”
1093. >You drape over her one of the blankets straight from the dryer.
1094. >She lets out a satisfied sigh before telling you to join her
1095. >No problems with that, you jump right under those covers and snuggle as close to her as you can.
1096. “Night Scoots.”
1097. >She buries her face into your chest and gives you a muffled “Good night Anon”.
1098. >You run your hand through her mane till you fall asleep.
1099.
1100. >The next morning you wake up with your orange angel still in your arms.
1101. >The sun outside the window is just starting to float over the horizon.
1102. “Morning Scoots, Morning Tia.”
1103. >You roll out of bed and decide to surprise the mare upstairs with a good old homemade breakfast.
1104. >You pull out all the ingredients and stand over the stove, prepared to cook like the world has never seen before.
1105. >You dance around the kitchen making more of a mess than food.
1106. >You look at the wasteland of a kitchen in front of you.
1107. “Well shit, I envy whoever has to clean this up.”
1108. >You hear a yawn and look up to see Scootaloo stretching.
1109. >Mmmm...Hey baby.”
1110. “Hey Scoots.”
1111. >She takes her normal seat on the couch.
1112. >”So what’s for breakfast?”
1113. >You stare down at the murder scene of once edible food on your hands.
1114. “Umm, you wouldn’t mind going out for breakfast, would you?”
1115. >”No, not really, do you have a jacket I could borrow though?”
1116. “Yeah they’re all upstairs”
1117. >She leaves to grab a jacket and you clean the breakfast massacre off of you.
1118. >When she returns the two of you leave into the fresh Ponyville air.
1119. >It’s a nice and cool spring morning.
1120. >Not a cloud in the beautiful blue sky.
1121. >The grass is covered in dew and everything looks perfect.
1122. >Sugarcube Corner is a quick walk from your house, so the two of you get there in no time.
1123. >You and Scoots enter and walk up to the counter.
1124. “Alright, so what’cha want?
1125. >She looks through the bajillion and one types of muffins and breakfast items the have.
1126. >”I’ll just have a hot cocoa and a...blueberry muffin.”
1127. >You ring the bell and from the kitchen springs Pinkie.
1128.
1129. >Thankfully she wasn’t quite awake yet, so she was less of a handful.
1130. >P:”Morning Nonny and Scootaloo, What can I get you guys?”
1131. “Hey Pinkie, she wants a hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin. I’ll take the same but with a coffee instead.”
1132. >P:”Okie dokey.”
1133. >You put some bits on the counter and she hops away to get your food.
1134. >You and Scootaloo pick a table by the window and sit down.
1135. “So I know this was kind of a sensitive subject but are you sure there’s nothing of yours at Sweeties house?”
1136. >S:”Well there’s a few things but nothing really worth getting.”
1137. “It’s still your stuff, there’s things I wished I could have brought with me before ending up here, but I don’t get that option.”
1138. >S:”Alright fine I guess we could swing by her house, but I doubt she’ll be excited to see me.”
1139. >You reach across the table and rub in between her ears.
1140. “Don’t worry about that I’ll be there with you.”
1141. >The smile on her face was one that you could stare at forever.
1142. >She wasn’t exactly scared to go to Sweetie’s house, but with you, she knew she had no reason to be nervous either.
1143.
1144. >You look over to see a pink mare precariously balancing a tray of drinks and muffins on her nose.
1145. >How..how does she do that, It shouldn’t even be physically possible.
1146. >She places the tray down and takes her leave.
1147. “Thanks Pinkie.”
1148. >P:”No problem.
1149. >She yells from the kitchen.
1150. >”So, Anon I know we talked about my home life, I was wondering what yours was like, Y’know before you came to Equestria.
1151. >Thinking back to your world always gave you a headache.
1152. “Honestly not much better...an abusive mother and a father who left and never came back.
1153. >”Oh..I-I’m sorry I didn’t realize you...”
1154. “No it’s fine, what’s in the past is...well, in the past.
1155. >”Do you at least know how you got here?”
1156. “Not really, I just remember my mom coming home just as pissed as always, I took my usual lumps...went to sleep and woke up here.”
1157. >There’s a long pause between to two of you.
1158. >By now you coffee was cold and you hadn’t touched your muffin.
1159. >“Sorry for bringing all this up, I know how hard it is to remember stuff like that.”
1160. “Don’t worry about it, like you said if we’re gonna work then no secrets.”
1161. >She comes around the table and gives you hug.
1162. >It was sort of an apology and an I love you at the same time.
1163. >You return the hug, giving back the same two feelings.
1164. “It’s still early so where do you wanna go next?”
1165. >”Well I guess if I’m living with you, I’m gonna need some stuff, y’know hair brushes, shampoo, girly hygiene stuff like..”
1166. “Alright alright, no need to go any further I get it.”
1167. >A devilish grin spreads across her face.
1168. >”Are you sure, what about..”
1169. “Nope no, I don’t want to know what’s going on down there unless I’m involved.
1170. >She gives you a light punch to the stomach.
1171. >Here just take these bits and just buy whatever, I made a mess at the house and need to take care of it.
1172. >You give her a small bag of bits and leave for the house.
1173.
1174. >You return to the house and behold the mess in front of you.
1175. >How is there pancake mix on the ceiling?
1176. >What were you doing?
1177. >You grab anything that resembles a cleaning utensil.
1178. >It takes you 45 minutes to make the kitchen somewhat sparkle again.
1179. >Mental note #5 Stop making decisions that future you has to clean up.
1180. >You hear the front door open.
1181. >:”Hey Anon, I’m back with my girly stuff, you wouldn’t believe the sale they had on...”
1182. “upbupbupbup, no.”
1183. >”What? It was a sale on batteries.”
1184. “I hate you.”
1185. >“Love you too.”
1186. >She puts down her bags and gives you a quick kiss.
1187. >”So are we going to Sweetie’s still?”
1188. “Yeah, if you’re ready lets go.”
1189. >You leave the house again and walk to get Scootaloo’s stuff.
1190. “Alrighty then, here we are.”
1191.
1192.
1193. >”Hey Anon can you knock on the door for me?”
1194. >You knock on the door.
1195. >No answer.
1196. >You knock again.
1197. >Silence.
1198. “Maybe she’s out.”
1199. >”Doubt it she’s usually home till the bars start opening and it’s not even noon yet.”
1200. >You knock on the door one last time.
1201. >SB:”Yeah yeah, I’m coming.”
1202. >The door opens and lets out the stench of alcohol and Celestia knows what else.
1203. >You look down to see a white unicorn slightly shorter than Scootaloo.
1204. >SB:”Oh it’s you, what do you want?”
1205. >S:”We’re here for my stuff.”
1206. >SB:”Finally, if you didn’t come soon I was gonna sell it all, just get it and get out.”
1207. >My my, isn’t she a pleasure.
1208. >You follow Scootaloo down the hall and stop at the door labeled “Scoot’s room”
1209. >Scootaloo opens the door.
1210. >S:”Welcome to my old room, just start grabbing stuff, I gotta pee really quick.”
1211. >You do as she says and start to put her items in the hall.
1212. >Come on she has to have something interesting.
1213. >Finding just hairbrushes and clothes was boring.
1214. >If you were her where would you hide the goodies?
1215. >You take a peek under the bed...Jackpot.
1216. >You find a small rectangular box with no markings.
1217. >Dis gon b gud.gif
1218. >S:”What’cha got there.”
1219. >Uh oh.
1220. “Oh, uhhh well..”
1221. >She walks over and snatches the box out of your hands.
1222. >”You know it’s impolite to go through a lady’s things.”
1223. “Sorry.”
1224. >“It’s fine.”
1225. “Is it at least what I think it is?”
1226. >”I will neither confirm nor deny, anyway hurry up.”
1227. “So what’s the deal with Sweetie Belle?”
1228.
1229. >”I honestly don’t know, she used to be a lot Rarity but she kinda got cold toward me and Bloom in our last few years of school.”
1230. “Any idea of why that may be?”
1231. >”Maybe...she kinda got ignored a lot.”
1232. “By you and Bloom?”
1233. >”No...by colts who were more interested in me and Apple Bloom.”
1234. “Huh, so you were a hit with the guy’s I take it.”
1235. >”I don’t know why..I was always the quiet mare that sat in the back...AB said it was because I was friends to Dash, that and I was taller and more fit than most of the other mares, but truth be told Sweetie was so much prettier. I guess all the rejection went to her head.”
1236. “Wow….really seems like she went overboard.”
1237. >All this over rejection.
1238. >But being alone can be a scary thing.
1239. >You used know what it was like.
1240. >A weird outcasted alien.
1241. >No one wanted to be associated with you.
1242. >Being alone leaves you with just thoughts of yourself.
1243. >And the bad starts to outshine the good .
1244. “Did you ever try anything to make it up to her?”
1245. >She picks up a few boxes and sits them out in the hall
1246. >”I would sabotage ‘dates’ by just talking about her or saying she would enjoy whatever we were doing.”
1247. “Did you tell her that?”
1248. >Yeah but she didn’t want to hear it.She also hated being compared to her sister, she did everything to be different. Is that the last box?”
1249. “I think so.”
1250.
1251.
1252. >”Alright I guess that’s everything.”
1253. >You stack a few boxes under each arm and Scootaloo carries the last one.
1254. >The two of you round the corner before the door
1255. >SB:”You’re finally leaving?”
1256. >S:”What’s your problem?”
1257. >SB:”I don’t have a problem, I’m just happy I can get a roommate that pays rent.”
1258. >S:”You act like that’s my fault.”
1259. >You notice Sweetie has a drunken slur to her voice.
1260. >Hitting the booze this early.
1261. >Something else had to be wrong with her.
1262. >Ponies drink for many reasons but a few high school rejections wasn’t one of them.
1263. >SB:” I never said it was your fault, but I can’t blame somepony for not hiring a pony that can’t even do what she was born to do, let alone a special talent.”
1264. >S:”You know what fuck you, that’s not something I can help! At least I have the self control to leave the house without fucking anything with a pulse, you slut.”
1265. >Tears were starting to form in Scootaloo’s eyes.
1266. >SB:”What did you just call me?”
1267. >You couldn’t take this anymore.
1268. “Both of you knock it off!
1269. >They turned to you, both stunned by your voice.
1270. “Now both of you are adults. What happened to you two, from what I have heard you two used to be inseparable. I don’t care who you rut or what you can or can’t do. Isn’t being different part of what brought you together?”
1271. >Man that was cheesy but it needed to be said.
1272. >Scootaloo looks back at you with big puppy dog eyes.
1273. >SB:”I don’t care what you think just because you’re royalty. Your opinion doesn’t mean anything to me, so Scootaloo just grab your shit and get your useless ass out of here.”
1274. >That was it, Scoots was a tough girl but she had limits too.
1275. >You reach your hand out and catch her chest just in time to stop her.
1276.
1277. >S:”Anon let me go!”
1278. “No.”
1279. >S:”Anon let me go now, I’m going to kill her!”
1280. >You’ve never seen her fight this hard.
1281. >She was normally a task and a half to make this mad.
1282. >You grab her by the shoulders and crouch down to her level.
1283. “Scoots look at me.”
1284. >She slowly stops fighting you but the tension in her muscles doesn’t leave.
1285. “She’s not worth it...just, come on lets go.”
1286. >She picks up the box she dropped and walks out the door without you.
1287. >You grab the rest of the boxes and catch up to Scoots.
1288. >The walk home was quiet save for the constant sniffles of your girlfriend.
1289. >When you get home she doesn’t even go for the couch and heads straight upstairs.
1290. >Wow, what happened?
1291. >What could have set her off like that?
1292. >You pour her a glass of milk and walk upstairs.
1293. >Your room door is shut so you knock.
1294. “Scoots...girly...you still awake?”
1295. >”Leave me alone.”
1296. “No.”
1297. >”Just go.”
1298. >You open the door anyway.
1299. >”I said I wanted to be alone.”
1300. >Her face is buried into your pillow and she’s kicked all the sheets onto the floor.
1301. “Well too bad, you’ve got me now so being alone isn’t an option.”
1302. >You sit down the glass and take a seat next to her.
1303. “Come on, I can’t help you if you don’t let me.”
1304. >You run a hand up and down her back trying to comfort her.
1305. “We’re in this kind of stuff together, I shoulder you and you shoulder me.”
1306. >She rolls onto her side to face you and you brush the hair out of her eyes.
1307. >The drenched fur on her face almost stopped your heart.
1308. >She lets out a sigh.
1309. >”I-I’m sorry.”
1310. “You don’t have to apologize, but will you tell me why, I’ve never seen you so worked up and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried.”
1311. >”It’s just...I-I haven’t heard what she said from somepony in so long...the last ponies to say that was...my parents when they kicked me out.
1312.
1313. >Wow...you are currently at a loss for words.
1314. >You can’t even imagine you’re own mother calling you useless.
1315. >Sometimes if you were being lazy she would say it jokingly, but Scootaloo’s parents meant it.
1316. >For the first time ever you’re at a lack of emotions.
1317. >You grab her and put her head to your chest.
1318. >”Y’know sometimes I think they might be right...I’ve never had a job, no cutie mark, no direction in life...maybe there is no use for me.”
1319. >You couldn’t believe what you were hearing...she honestly thinks she’s useless.
1320. “No.”
1321. >”No what...If so many ponies believe it, it has to be true right?”
1322. >You rest a palm on each of her cheeks and stare into the orchid colored oasis of her eyes.
1323. “Scoots I know the world can be harsh, WE know...but you have to get back up when it kicks you down, as long as that pretty, fragile little heart of yours keeps ticking you’re useful to somepony at least.”
1324. >The tears slowly stop dripping from her face.
1325. >”And who would that be?”
1326. >You flash her a warm but mischievous smile.
1327. “Me.”
1328.
1329. >She smiles back.
1330. >You stand up and start bouncing on your feet trying to return the energy to the room Pinkie style.
1331. “Now are you gonna get back up on your hooves or are you gonna lay in that bed all day like a chicken.”
1332. >She stares at you, her spirits slightly lifted.
1333. >”Hey, what did you say to me? “
1334. >She has a feisty tone to her voice.
1335. “I asked if you’re gonna be a chicken or are you going to get up?”
1336. >She sits up on the bed and gives you a playfully aggressive smile.
1337. >”Say it again I dare you.”
1338. “Chicken C-H-I-C…”
1339. >Before you can finish she leaps off the bed at you but barely misses.
1340. >You take off down the stairs and out the door.
1341. >She’s behind you the whole way.
1342. >You just can’t shake her, but then again you don’t want to.
1343. >”When I catch you you’re dead.”
1344. >She’s gaining on you as you head to the park.
1345. >Her beautiful wings pushing her between each stride.
1346. “Come on girl, chickens run faster than that.”
1347. >You round a corner and head for the park.
1348. >You’re almost there, but your legs are so tired.
1349. >Come on… just...a bit...further.
1350. >You turn the upper half of your body just in time to catch your pursuer to the chest.
1351. >Needles to say you go down.
1352. >The two of you are on the ground just outside of the park.
1353. >You’re on your back and she’s pretty much sitting on your chest.
1354. >She manages a sentence while trying to catch her breath.
1355. >”There..could..a chicken..do that? “
1356.
1357.
1358. >You lay there looking up at Scootaloo.
1359. >The beams from the sun streaming through her hair and in between her feathers on her outstretched wings.
1360. >From your perspective she looked like an angel.
1361. >And to you that’s what she was, your own little piece of heaven.
1362. >You return to earth and feel her lips on yours.
1363. >Both of you sit there locked in your little act of passion.
1364. >?:”Well well well, what do we got here?”
1365. >You and Scoots jump apart at the familiar voice of the stranger.
1366. >Rainbow Dash is peeking over a low flying cloud.
1367. >S:”Ohh.. hey Dash.”
1368. >Scootaloo’s face is as red as a beet.
1369. >RD:”I knew there was something between you two.”
1370. >S:”Dash, I’m sorry I…”
1371. >RD:”It’s ok kiddo, I’ve been waiting on you two for awhile now, I’m happy for you both. Also have you told your mom yet Anon?”
1372. >You sit up,and blush.
1373. “No, not yet.”
1374. >RD:”Alright then I’ll keep my mouth shut. You kids play nice now.”
1375. >She starts to fly away but stops and turns around.
1376. >RD:”Oh and don’t forget to use protection.”
1377. >With that she flies away.
1378. >You look over to the mare sitting a few inches from you.
1379. >Scootaloo.exe is not responding.
1380. >Please wait while we search for the problem…
1381. >Cancel.
1382. “You alright Scoots.”
1383. >”Huh...what, Oh yeah I’m fine lets go home you jerk.”
1384. >She gives you a playful punch and a kiss.
1385. >The two of you walk home enjoying the company you gave each other.
1386. >”I love you Anon.”
1387. “Hehe..I love you too.”.
1388. >You grab a blanket and sit on the couch inviting Scoots to sit with you.
1389. >She takes a seat right in between your legs with her back against your chest and your chin resting on her head.
1390. >You wrap the blanket around you and her sharing your warmth and affection.
1391. >The Tv’s not even on, but it didn’t need to be.
1392. >This was just as entertaining as any movie or show.
