- 6/2/24-6/7/24 Update, day 822-826 of Russian invasion.
- Belarus/Western Border:
- Romania is reportedly considering the possibility of transferring its Patriot system to UA.
- Polish farmers carried out 2 day protest blocking the border at a checkpoint crossing.
- More than 17% of convicts in Ivano-Frankivsk Region want to mobilize to the ZSU
- Kyiv/Central Ukraine:
- On June 2nd, UA intercepted 24/25 shaheds and 0/2 missiles.
- On June 7th, UA intercepted 5/5 cruise missiles and 48/53 Shaheds launched against predominantly electrical infrastructure.
- UA is reiterating that certain professions of critical industries will be exempt from conscription, rather then on an individual case by case basis.
- Occupations with mobilization exemptions include:
- Defense industry companies with active contracts for the UA military
- Energy infrastructure workers and repairmen of such
- Workers constructing defensive fortifications
- Up to 90% of police and emergency services.
- About 1.5 million men of military age have successfully updated their data in accordance with the new mobilization law passed at the end of May, with 14,000 of them abroad.
- UA will allow citizens abroad to register for military documentation at consulates abroad, which should in turn allow resumption of some consular access
- RU is reportedly increasing its disinfo ops regarding mobilization overreaches, recording videos portraying abuses of locals in the occupied territories and portraying them as happening in UA territory. The mobilization centers (TCC) reiterated they will continue to investigate inappropriate behavior but noted there is an increase in RU propaganda here.
- UA will soon adopt a resolution according to which 17-year-old boys from Ukraine who are currently living abroad will not have to return to register for the military. They will be able to do this after the end of martial law.
- Only 27% of coal power plants are operating in Ukraine, with the rest damaged or destroyed.
- UA is looking to provide preferential loans for UA citizens who install generators and renewable energy generators at home to reduce load on the energy grid, as well as removing import duties on some energy equipment into Ukraine.
- UA has begun to issue mobilization orders at checkpoints in the Cherkasy region.
- Ukrainian forces destroyed 1,160 Russian artillery systems in May, a record month thus far.
- UA continues to have regular power cuts across the country, with rolling blackouts across most oblasts. Generally most regions appear to be adhering to a 4 hours on/ 2 hours off schedule,
- Northeast Ukraine/Kharkiv city:
- RU advances to the NE of Kharkiv city appear to have broadly stalled, as RU launched 2 attacks towards Liptsi. RU lost some 220 soldiers and 32 pieces of equipment on this axis in the last day. RU launched 8 assaults today.
- RU has intensified
- UA has begun to receive western ammo near Vovchansk.
- UA reportedly used a HIMARS system to target the RU S-300/400 battery near belgorod on June 2nd, which had previously be used to strike Kharkiv city.
- Kharkiv police arrested a former TDF soldier who was reporting locations of UA air defense in Kharkiv.
- The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission recorded 174 civilian deaths in May 2024, with the majority from Kharkiv oblast. T his is the largest since June 2023.
- Law enforcement officers detained a suspected agent of the Russian special service, who could help the Russians in an attempt to attack the north of Kharkiv region. According to the investigation, the suspected resident of Vovchansk was monitoring the helicopters covering the infantry of the Defense Forces, as well as the location of the artillery.
- Kupyansk/Lyman:
- RU has contested additional territory to the SE of Kupyansk along the highway near Berestove, launching 10 assaults over the last day.
- RU lost 84 soldiers 2 tanks, and 2 APCs over the last day near Kupyansk.
- Kramatorsk/Bakhmut:
- RU forces aided by extensive MLRS strikes have advanced along the highway W of Ivanivske, up to the forest belt. RU launched 6 assaults over the last day. RU is broadly concentrating infantry in the forests north of Kanal. RU forces appear to have advanced in this direction, aided by thermobaric barrages.
- RU has redoubled its efforts near Chasiv yar, launching about 6 assaults per day. RU has reportedly decreased its average equipment use per assault, and is losing some 50 soldiers per day + wounded .
- RU has increased the usage of armored vehicles in its assaults on Chasiv yar
- Avdiivka/Pokrovsk:
- RU continues to focus on this area, launching some 26 assaults to the W of Avdiivka. The front lines do not appear to have materially changed in the last few days.
- Currently the greatest RU activity is in this sector, with concerns this will be the main thrust of RU offensive activity over the summer.
- Donetsk city/Occupied regions:
- RU launched 20 assaults to the NW and SW of Marinka, including further contesting central Krasnohorivka and broadly assaulting from the industrial southern portion into the residential N.
- RU has intensified its operations towards Krasnohorivka, launching 80 kamikaze UAVs and 640 other drone attacks over 3 days.
- Zaporizhia/Southern Axis:
- RU launched 12 assaults towards Staromaiorske and Robotyne. RU launched 296 attacks on 8 settlements, 79x with drones and 212x with artillery.
- RU has increased its helicopter strikes near Orikhiv, with a pair of KA-52 operating in the region launching airstrikes.
- UA intercepted 2/2 drones and 2/2 crise missiles traveling towards Dnipro on the night of June 4th.
- The territory of the former Khakovka reservoir has turned into something of a small forest, which is buoyed by the nutrient rich soil now exposed following the dam collapse and emptying of the reservoir.
- Kherson:
- RU launched 3 assaults on the UA bridgehead at Krynky. UA has allegedly gained some advantages in its operations he re recently, although whether that is on the ground or aerial front is unspecified.
- RU has continued to launch drone strikes on local energy infrastructure in Kherson, attacking them with drone bombers.
- Sappers demined more than 2980 km2 of land in kherson thus far.
- 1,606 explosive objects were also discovered during the week. A total of 180,331 explosives since the beginning of de-occupation. about a thousand sappers work on the right bank of the Kherson region.
- Odessa/Black Sea/Crimea:
- Residents of Sevastapol will be charged a mandatory fee for radio broadcasting, including for use of the emergency broadcast and air alert system.
- A UA recruitment officer in Odesa was arrested for taking a bribe.
- The military-guerrilla movement "Atesh" recorded the functioning of the previously abandoned Zavodske airport for military purposes only. This hotbed of local airlines is located 5 kilometers southwest of Simferopol in the occupied Crimea
- UA drones attacked and sunk an RU tugboat in N Crimea
- Russia:
- The International criminal court filed a complaint against 6 RU propagandists, including:
- Dmitry Medvedev, former president and current deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation;
- Volodymyr Solovyov, presenter of a TV program on the state TV channel "Russia 1";
- Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Russia Today;
- Dmytro Kiselyov, head of the state media group "Russia Today";
- Serhiy Mardan, a popular radio and TV presenter in the Russian Federation;
- Oleksiy Gromov, First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Russia.
- General:
- Over the last day UA forces conducted 12 airstrikes and RU forces conducted 61 air strikes (including drones), and 89 MLRS strikes. 435 RU kamikaze drones were used including 59 Shaheds/Lancets and FPV.

- Overseas:
- 3 people were arrested in Paris when they attempted to set up 5 coffins covered with a french flag and a sign saying "french soldiers from Ukraine"
- France announced that they will provide Mirage fighters to UA, as well as train pilots and mechanics, starting in the next few days. France also announced it will fully equip and train a UA brigade, and has implied that there is a coalition of 5 other nations who would support training soldiers in Ukraine.
- 4 men who attacked UA volunteers in Prague were arrested by Czech law enforcement.
- Iceland will contribute an additional 667,000 euros to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund.
- Great Britain and Latvia have announced a tender for companies to supply FPV drones to Ukraine within the Drone Capability Coalition. This is stated in a press release published on the website of the British government.
- The Netherlands will invest $432 million USD in the production of APCs for UA
- It is noted that this selection aims to produce drones on a large scale and at an affordable price, taking advantage of Western industry.
- The website of the Spanish company Santa Barbara Systems (a division of the German General Dynamics), which repairs Leopard tanks before their delivery to Ukraine, was cyberattacked by pro-Russian hackers from the NoName group
