  1.
  2. [23:27] "Consider it done and done. You're going to be fine for the most part. If someone or anyone makes you feel... older or you feel down or depressed. I would suggest coming here, we have tea and the sorts, and I can give you some 'spiritual' healing." He smiled afterwards, letting the entire body revert to more a humanoid look. His eyes, however, were still a slanted purple-lizard eye.
  3.
  4. "Alright... let's get to the teaching. Today, we have a fresh corpse... " He was tired for the most part, but he did have a body of a young citizen somewhere outside that was frozen and preserved for the last few days or so.
  5.
  6. He went outside, right out to the back and holding the body in a plastic, black bag. He moved it over to the table that was there after clearing it the plates and simply put it there. Unzipping it, it was more than evident of it'sfeatures.
  7.
  8. - Black hair.
  9. - Blue eyes.
  10. - 175 pounds.
  11. - 5'9"
  12. - Multiple stab wounds.
  13. - Multiple burn wounds.
  14. - Discoloring of the skin.
  15.
  16. "I hope you're not scared of a body, but this is what we're studying on."
  17. (Moavug Zayllur)
  18. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  19.
  20. [23:35] "I'll keep that in mind!" She'd say with her usual smile and nod. Sill rolling that cinnamon flavored crystal in her mouth as she slowly slid from her chair. The ice at least ensured the body didn't smell quite as awful as it should- along with the bag.
  21.
  22. Her arms stretch above her head, and for someone so young she was.. Unbothered by the quite literally screwed up corpse.
  23.
  24. "I'm better at teaching with the living. Not so much on cadavers. It's.. Not as fun for me- Actually I suck at teaching period." A sharp series of giggling snorts escape her lips. Evidently she was absolutely fine with the morbid corpse that was laid out atop of the table.
  25.
  26. "Boooy, he- she? Kraus, I can't even tell! Someone had a baaad weekend..."
  27. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [23:37] The body could already be smelt the moment it was taken out. The Kitsune's eyes would peer at the body from where she was sitting and clearly was curious.
  31.
  32. "A fresh corpse? So this is out victim for today. Alright, I'll do you proud!" she declared, heading over to Moavug from her seat. The Kitsune's ears perked up the moment she got closer. Magenta sights resting upon the corpse with intense curiosity.
  33.
  34. Miyoko was definitely not scared. This was the medical field. Stuff like this would come too often so she'd have to get use to doing this on a daily basis no matter what. The real question is, who will be her first victim.
  35.
  36. The corpse had all normal features aside from the injuries. Her hands hovered in front of her ready to start the lesson. She seemed very attentive.
  37.
  38. "Stab wounds and burn wounds.. Hm. Interesting," she muttered to herself.
  39. (Miyoko Hayako)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [23:42] "Better to start with the dead, then to start with the living. This way, if they do end up making a mistake, you can always just learn those mistakes and master them. It's better that way than starting on the living and then killing them." He laughed, but there was some sadness in them. He was so tired that he was ready to move over and die. But, he is a teacher, and a teacher teaches, right?
  43.
  44. "Alright, so your lesson here and your 'test' is to find the remedy for the cuts, and the remedy for the burns. I also want to you to properly use any utensil or magic needed to close the wounds and heal the rest." That was simple and to the point. A simple way to fix anything and everything. If anything, it was better that way than any other way.
  45.
  46. "When you do? Make sure that it's precice and to the point, but it's okay since they're dead. Their soul is already with the star of their choice and capable." Some positive with the bad. "So, feel free to do what you can. Kali can help you."
  47.
  48. If she wants to, of course. "And I am here, too."
  49. (Moavug Zayllur)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [23:45] "Pffft.. Faair point I guess!" She was just as happy as before, but her lack of.. Morality could be considered a biiiit unnerving. Her hands clasping together. Hovering over Miyoko's shoulders like some sort of fly on the wall, she'd 'stare' at the corpse. Though, her eyes were still clamped shut.
  53.
  54. It didn't seem to impede her sight in the slightest, oddly enough.
  55.
  56. "I don't know if I'd be so great at helping.. I kind of use the wrong words half the time... I might be.. Talented! But it doesn't go beyond prodigious nonsense... Things sorta just click for me..." She'd admit with a quiet nod. "Explaining it, going into detail... That, is something I'll need to learn on my own time."
  57.
  58. She'd lean back afterwards, head tilting to 'stare' towards the ceiling. The youngster quietly humming to herself whist she waited for Miyoko to start picking at the corpse.
  59. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62. [23:48] "It's fine if you say the wrong thing, that's why I am here to say the correct thing." Another laughter escaped him. "That is the point of partnership, isn't it? To correct one another while helping one another improve. It's something special about it, no?"
  63.
  64. That was when he focused on the body and Mimi. He was more than read yto see what they were capable of doing to the best of his ability. Two medical professionals are here to help them, and it is because of that they will successed. "Though, maybe it just takes some time."
  65. (Moavug Zayllur)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67. [00:02] Words flowed into Miyoko's ears, listening on both individuals as they spoke. Her notes played over and over in her head. The moment she was told she could begin training on the subject, she'd begin. First, grabbing some gloves.
  68.
  69. A smack would go against her skin as the skin tight medical gloves with hug upon her palms. The young kitsune would look at the multiple stabs and burn wounds intensely
  70.
  71. To begin, she'd start off with the stab wounds since to her, they seemed like the easiest to take care. "Alright.. So, we'll make sure the wound is clean."
  72.
  73. Miyoko would grab the fiber strings that she'd use to stitch the wound together, however, before she went to do that she'd appear to look inside each individual wound to make sure there wasn't anything abnormal to them. Perhaps a piece of flesh from the deeper layers of the skin had popped out. All these things she'd make sure weren't actually there to cause any discrepancies. "Now, we'll stitch up the individual stab wounds to keep the closed. I think these strings will dissolve as the wound heals. In this case, not really."
  74.
  75. Next, she'd move onto the burns. Of course, she couldn't do what she did prior with the stab wounds. However, she'd make sure they were also clean so that any dead skin would fall off and it'd easier to work with. A burn ointment was grabbed which she'd apply to each one. Evenly smothering it into the wounds. A few bandages were grabbed to placed on the wounds that had stitches. To her, if this was a live patient, it would've made sure they didn't mess with the stitches themselves.
  76.
  77. "Alright, um! Oh!" The After care had already been done for the stab wounds, but not the burn ones! She'd do thesame she did for the stabs but having them placed neatly as to not mess with the ointment that was applied.
  78.
  79. "Done! I think? What do you think, Kaila? Are you looking!?"
  80. (Miyoko Hayako)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [00:10] * You have been awarded 2 Roleplay Points! *
  84. [00:11] Kaila observes. A bit nervously- a corpse was a far cry from the living and breathing. But the basic understanding was there. She'd continue to peek over Miyoko's shoulders. At one point she even braced both hands upon them and stood on her tippy toes to make sure she could watch the entire method of treatment she was going for. A casual blink blink of her eyes as she hummed softly to herself.
  85.
  86. "I would say ask the patient! But, he's got a case of the Monday's. Dontcha buddy?" She'd reach out and pat the corpse's head in a joyful, albeit over the top method before bursting into a fit of giggles.
  87.
  88. She'd make a wonderous mortician, carried by her own forced optimism.
  89.
  90. "A basic understanding of the sheer non-magi basics! Now add a little.. Pizzaz into it, yes?" She'd wander the table, the growing medic clearly one for theatrics.
  91.
  92. "Fire, occult. By any chance are you also an illusionist?" She'd ask, tracing a few fingers across the cleaned stitched, and tended wounds along the corpse itself. "Most prefer the raw method of treatment. Thankfully, you and Mao utilize anesthesia. Unlike Arlei whom may be talented, but goes in raw and puts her patients through so, so much unneeded pain!"
  93.
  94. A pause, as a finger presses against the tip of her own nose.
  95.
  96. "But, the numbing agents of non-magi and alchemists alike can only go so far. So, you understand how to clean, tend, and suture. I wish too.. Evolve it! So tell me, of your magics- O'foxy one~"
  97.
  98. She was in a surprisingly good mood. It looks like she really just.. Liked doing doctoring things!
  99. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
  100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  101.
  102. [00:23] The kitsune would giggle at Kaila's commentary. The voice of her coming and talking about how each of her steps were doing was just cute, but Miyoko had to focus.
  103.
  104. "Pizzaz you say? I can try to do that." Miyoko had the thought of using a bit of magic, but after what Moavug had mentioned about the magic that Miyoko possessed, she was a bit hesitant on it. Especially on how he described the effects if it were to be used.
  105.
  106. "I am not an Illusionist, yet! I am studying to be one, but with everything going on recently it's been rough. But! I'll get there."
  107.
  108. Miyoko would let her gaze return to the body. She realize that some of the wounds weren't used because she had a bit of time to use on it. This was for training purposes so she'd use all she could for her knowledge. She'd look at Kaila the moment she asked of her magics.
  109.
  110. A single palm had, "Fire!"
  111.
  112. The other, "Occultism!"
  113.
  114. And soon, she'd clasp her hands together synthesizing the two magical elements and forming a new one. "Black flames! That's all I know currently. Once I'm able to use Illusions, I'll aim to use them in the medical field too! Maybe as a heightened anesthesia or something along those lines!" she declared, placing a finger with a single ember on it. Cauterizing one of the stab wounds by burning the skin lightly to close it completely.
  115.
  116. "What do you think?"
  117. (Miyoko Hayako)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [00:32] "Good girl! That's the right way of thinking." Did she just headpat the fox, she did just headpat the fox. A wide grin spread across her lips. "See, you can go beyond of course. Once you've gotten a taste of illusionary magic it's how you spin it. The mind is malleable and fragile to those willing to allow you in. Yes?"
  121.
  122. The hand that'd patted Miyo's noggin soon curled into knuckles. Gently tapping them against her forehead afterwards.
  123.
  124. "So, you can numb the pain or distract them in their own fantasy world where the pain becomes... Well good rather than bad. It'll make them defo want treatments from you more often, I think. Ah! Alas, fire and occultism... Such harsh magics for a medic."
  125.
  126. A pause as a single finger raises. "Is what I would say, if I was a basic bitch!"
  127.
  128. A pause...
  129.
  130. "... I swear I'm not normally like that, anyway. I'd suggest finding rodents, lizards, small animals, or being in a place full of effervescent floral and fauna." She didn't explain why quite yet. Instead, a single crystal pressed from her skin. The young medic drawing it towards her own palm.
  131.
  132. It clenches shut and melts slowly. "Blues, I use to numb it all... And..."
  133.
  134. A small crack in the floor was all she needed. Dirt and grime pooling from it before forming between her fingertips, a sharp, jaded point that she suddenly, and abruptly, slammed into her palm.
  135.
  136. With but a single wince and blink. "So that's how it feels like. Still kind of..Pinches..." Red pooled around the puncture wound. It didn't go too deep- clearly Kaila's physical strength wasn't her forte. "Now, I want you to tend this, with magic. And magic only. No salves, no stitches, no needles and thread. We're magi, and it is very possible to run out of medical materials out on adventures or, you may be starved of them if imprisoned but tending to an imprisoned bunkmate."
  137.
  138. Her good hand, the one that wasn't gouged open and bleeding atop of the table, went for her egg basket. Four plain, uncolored and untouched eggs rolled across the table to rest. "You'll need these. Now, do you want to.. Wing it, or would you prefer my advice." She'd say with a huff.
  139.
  140. Her face a bit paler as the blood continued to drip from the wound. She was doing her best to ignore it.
  141. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [00:53] Miyoko would find herself being patted on the head. A gesture she'd prefer others not to do unless she knew them well or allowed them. It took a while to get her hair like this in the morning! Of course, Kaila would be on the safe side of such while they continued to experiment which would soon change. "So it's like a creative sense? I can do that! While still keeping a safe medical environment," she states, peering at the fingers that tapped against her forehead. A slight snicker emerged.
  145.
  146. The way Kaila explained how she could use her Illusionary magic once she was able to utilize it was fascinating to her. Miyoko didn't think of all that too much, it never crossed her mind since she never really used the Illusionary Arts. She was still an aspiring Illusionist. But soon, she'd come to realize what it meant to remove the pain from someone mentally. A mind trick to releasetension and give them a calm and relaxing thought filled with tranquility. A perfect idea Miyoko thought. She would probably call it something along the lines of, Hayako's Paradise.
  147.
  148. "They are harsh, which is what I was told. However, I still think the way I use these black flames of mine is graceful and majestic. A darkened light show. And now, I'll be able to help others with it even if the effects might cause some.. problems which I'll aim to prevent!" she declared, raising her hand into the air.
  149.
  150. Miyoko didn't question the animal choices. She'd just listen like a good young fox.
  151.
  152. But the moment she watched Kaila stabbed herself with her own crystal, it'd surprise her. Making Miyoko gasp slightly. But she knew this was for demonstration purposes. That was until she was told to heal herself. It pondered her mine that she was only allowed to use magic, but she would do so anyways. "Alright, here goes! I'll make sure your wound is healed in no time!"
  153.
  154. Assuming that Miyoko's Occultism would clash against Kaila's Holy Arts, she'd refrain from using them as the first time. She didn't want anything bad to happen so she'd be on the safe side. Miyoko would grab her finger and wipe the dripping blood way. The finger she held up was covered in kindling embers. "Stay calm and still." Miyoko would press her finger against Kaila's palm gently. Cauterizing her stab wound and letting it close the moment it was burned from her magic. She'd wipe away any burn flakes from the blood and make sure she would be clean afterward.
  155.
  156. "How is that?" she inquired.
  157.
  158.
  159. (Miyoko Hayako)
  160. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  161.
  162. [01:02] Kaila was no less for ware it seemed. Her hand may as well be suffering from frostbite with how little she felt in it right now. There was but the slightest wince from the searing heat that was used to cauterize and scar the flesh shut, as she nodded her head. A small, spherical red crystal- no larger than the size of her fingernail and holding the scent of cinnamon, was crunched right beneath the crystal magi's nose.
  163.
  164. The dust snorted before she started flexing her fingertips.
  165.
  166. "Feeling, check. No longer bleeding, yep. Still hurts- scar. Understandable. Mmhmm- and you remembered that I was an exorcist too. You're a smart cookie."
  167.
  168. From her hand a green shard would fold against the wound. Letting its rejuvenating properties work on smoothing out the slight scar across the palm of her hand. Though never removing it in its entirety.
  169.
  170. "Now, this may end with making me a bit sick... So, I'm going to make thiiiis injury a LOT smaller." The exorcist mused, the dirt knife she'd formed carefully pressing against the underside of her wrist. A small knick- no larger than a papercut.
  171.
  172. "People will say that occultism cannot heal. But it can. It's simply a more.. Visceral method of healing." Knowledgeable, she was surprisingly knowledgeable.
  173.
  174. "Dark Magic healing, can only be wrought at the cost of misery!" She was reciting something, that was obvious. "Focus either on one of the eggs, or yourself. Draw from your occultism and siphon from either yourself or one of the eggs to heal this little paper cut. What it will... Essentially do, is rip the injury into the 'victim' of your spell, whilst repairing the damage done to your charge."
  175.
  176. A pause of course follows afterwards. "And of course with exorcists, there's the risk- depending on the injury- of exacerbating the wound internally, sickness, nausea, and death. Hence! Hence the tiny cut. It'll fix the cut yes, but I'm prooobably gonna have a bit of a tummy ache..."
  177. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [01:13] Miyoko would feel praise as the wound was to her liking. However, now it was time to test it out with her other selection of magic. Occult. This might've been a bit more advanced hearing that it would apply a bit of misery upon her. However, the kitsune was ready, she currently didn't care what'd she go through, she wanted to master this. "Alright! I think I got this one, Kaila!"
  181.
  182. Her eyes hover over the papercut to inspect it. A finger also seems to hover over it seemingly soaking up the blood. One of her spells that drained the lifeforce of out of someone to heal herself. She'd already feel the slight bits of blood course through her body and circuits. She would stop the moment the bits and droplets of blood were gone. Next, she'd look over to one of the eggs.
  183.
  184. Her palm would float above the egg once more. Dark mana succumbed the egg, sucking whatever life was in the shell. That mana earned would be sent towards the papercut. Closing and stitching it together. It hugged her wrist covering it in a black veil.
  185.
  186. Once it had disappeared, the cut would be gone, like her wrist had never been injured in the first place.
  187.
  188. "I think I did pretty well! I just hope it doesn't mess with your own circuits, Kaila. I wouldn't have wanted harm you rather than heal you. That wouldn't leave a good taste in my mouth.." Feeling a bit of worry for the girl. She hoped for the best.
  189. (Miyoko Hayako)
  190. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  191.
  192. [01:20] Hrk-
  193.
  194. She sounded like someone who was about to upchuck. The moment the dark magic was worked in a way to 'mend' by the use of another living thing's lifeforce, her wrist was healed only for the hand to immediately press against her mouth and for the young medic to twirl away and dry heave a few times- one hand raised shakily-
  195.
  196. "All.. The ssacrifice.. For medical.. Progress..!"
  197.
  198. Her foot stomped, and the soil beneath the wood twisted and leaked through the cracks until an earth-made bucket of mud and soil was created and-
  199.
  200. Oh god she just vomited into it. Whatever was going on with her body lasted for a solid, several minutes. Mostly dry heaving, but there was a few moments of genuine vomiting. Before she pulled her mouth away and dabbed at her face with a cloth from her satchel.
  201.
  202. Her body ached. Indeed, it'd affected both the exorcist's circuitryand her body in general as well. A slow roll of her shoulders accompanied by a sharp, shaky breath in.
  203.
  204. "Addendum... It may depend on the.. Strength of the exorcist that the magic is.. Used on. I'm fine! I'm fine..." A few more sharp breaths before she mumbled. "Just really.. Really sleepy- and you did... Did VERY well. Too well, unfortunately..."
  205.
  206. She really just wanted to meet the floor and sleep for a good few hours. Maybe it was due to her age, or maybe it was because she was a relatively weak magi... Either way, that occultism did her no favors.
  207.
  208. "Ooph… Yes- gh… Tomorrow, tomorrow Rachel will.. Let me do a live demonstration. Where you'll.. Use the occultism on someone who WON'T immediately keel over and feel like they've caught.. The stomach flu- U-until then.. Ll..lesson concluded..I- I'm gonna go home and take a nap."
  209. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
  210. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  211.
  212. [01:22] Kaila M. Eggsworth exclaims, "O-oh right.. And have.. Some reading material!"
  213. [01:22] Kaila tosses a small booklet from her satchel with her free hand for Miyoko to read. "It has information on.. Other magical healing.. Methods!"
  214. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
  215. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  216.
  217. [01:28] The Kitsune watched as the book was given to her. She loved the praise and all that. She felt like she was going to be a good magic despite her occultism that she held. It was an unfortunate thing, but she favored it and believed she wouldn't fall under corruption. She just didn't appear to be the type to do so.
  218.
  219. "Progress!" she shouted, or maybe said out loud but not too loud because there was a sleeping Drakanite near them and this wasn't their house.
  220.
  221. Miyoko looked down at the book as it was handed over to her by the sleepy Kaila. She skimmed it's contents seeing as there was an abundant subjects on ways certain types of magic healed. This was going to be really useful to hear. The book would be held in one hand before the Kitsune would,
  222.
  223. Hug her.
  224.
  225. Keeping her stabilized before she deemed to pass out somewhere in the ground. "Oh, thank you Kaila. You're the best!" Her cheek planted against the girl's. Maybe a bit too much skin contact? No! There wasn't enough! But she'd refrain from doing anymore hugging since it seemed Kaila would've slept in her arms at that point.
  226.
  227. "I'll get to ready when I have the time. I think I'll get some rest as well. You have a goodnight, Kaila!"
  228. (Miyoko Hayako)
  229. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  230.
  231. [01:33] Oh god SOMEONE WAS TOUCHING HER AGAIN!!!
  232.
  233. But this time she was fine with it, she more or less leaned into it and accepted the fact that the Kitsune was going to be her makeshift walking stick for the time being. A quiet nod of her head followed by the most subtle hints of pink across her cheeks when she felt Miyo's own press against her. A quiet huff escaping her lips.
  234.
  235. The Kitsune couldn't be more right. Kaila was midway through just... Sort of accepting her fate and snuggling up into someone's arms just so she can limp noodle and be dragged somewhere to sleep. But, eventually she manages to find the strength to pull herself upright. Brushing her fingers across her robe and letting out a soft Ahem.
  236.
  237. "I'm not the best.. I have.. No idea what I'm doing, or if it'll work! I just assume so, and say what feels like the right, smart thing to say! That I read about." THe book worm would rumble out, wobbling on one foot, than the other as she started heading towards the doorway.
  238.
  239. "Please.. For all that is holy.. Please be unlocked, Me.. Crave slep time.." All the while her cheeks remained a peachy pink. It was like she was drunk.
  240.
  241. But Kaila was too young to keep Nurse Whiskey at her side. At least, for one more year. "You have a good night too, Mimi.."
  242. (Kaila M. Eggsworth)
