Lucas's Backstory

Lucas was born to a pair of retired Riders Julia and Chiyono who were rightly famous for their exploits and deeds when they were still active. Unfortunately the young infant was stricken with a disease that weakened his body and made his organs weak, it would have killed him had he not inherited powers and abilities from both of his parents. Although it was enough to ensure he survived, he had to be put into a bubble for the foreseeable future due to his body's internal systems still being too weak. So that's how much of his childhood went, he felt alone, isolated, and fearful for most of his life. His family did help him at least fend off such feelings, especially his sister Mochi who knew what it was like to have a weak body. The few joys he had in his life were Chiyo's cooking, playing with Julia, and stories about the Riders, stories of courage, of bravery, of standing against the tide even when everything was against you, and the overwhelming drive for justice and using their great power to protect others. This inspired Lucas from a young age and he swore he would NEVER give up and he would always FIGHT till the end to the day he could be better! This hope and drive allowed him to live and fight for 12 long years. Even so, his body began to detoriate slowly over time and him and his family slowly fell into despair, that was...until a doctor from the URJF stepped in. The good doctor offered to save Lucas's life through cybernetic surgery and a bit of magic, empowering his organs and abilities to make sure they survived. The two former riders asked if this was on behalf of the URJF and the Doctor simply nodded and said "You saved my children from the Dark Council's minions years ago, now let me save your child." The Doctor then fully explained how he planned to do this and Chiyo and Julia agreed and called in a bunch of contacts and favors to help with the surgery. On his 13th birthday he went into the surgery room and a grueling 14 hour surgery ensued, yet even when things were darkest Lucas's spirit and body remained unbroken, even unconscious he fought to his very limits to stay alive. They replaced most of his internal organs with biotech cybernetics on to of using advanced healing magic to restrengthen and heal the damage that had been done to his internal systems as well as boosted his body's capabilities by installing cybernetics in other places. They used the most top of the line cybernetics they could and the most powerful healers they could get their hands on, many of them having been saved by Julia and Chiyono in the past. Their good deeds were paid off in full and 14 hours later....Tears welled up in their eyes as they watched their beloved son walk out of the surgery room by himself...only to be dragged back in and forced to a wheelchair and wheeled out. He had Julia's stubbornness after all!

He spent the next two years training his body and mind back up, proving himself to be every bit as cunning in a fight as Chiyono and every bit as stubborn as Julia, albeit he was very dummy like Julia and lacked common sense at times but had a whole lotta heart to make up for it! After the first year the disease that once ravaged his body had been completely eradicated by his empowered cybernetic systems and after the second year he had a strong and healthy body trained by working in the fields and helping out around the ranch! Their years of despair were no more and they spent the next year happy and full of joy. On his 16th Birthday however....he was fighting off some monsters from the nearby woods who were trying to make off with some animals and crops and...it turned out the monsters had been sent by one of the minions of the dark council! An old enemy and foe of both Julia and Chiyono. Despite his overwhelming strength, durability, and speed he had inherited both from the cybernetic and his mothers, he found himself pushed back and injured by the dark rider before him. At his most dire moment when his determination overflowed, a light shone from within! He looked down and saw a Driver slapped onto his waist and a strange coin-like disc in his hand that had a person clad in armor, with a series of weapons behind him. He didn't hesitate, he slammed the disc into the driver and cried out "HENSHIN!" Righteous Fire arced across his body as armor appeared with each passing flame, when it was done he was now a Rider clad in plate-like armor, his helmet emblazoned with a warrior's spirit. Nay, not a warrior, A FIGHTER. "Till thine Justice is Served! Battle til the end! Fightin' Rider!"

By the time his parents had come onto the scene with their own drivers they saw their son overpowering the dark rider, every object he picked up turned into a deadly weapon, the farm and ranching tools in his hands became deadly attack wreathed in his fighting spirit! The Dark Rider had not prepared for this kind of power and fled...only to get captured by the agents of the URJF, who had quickly come onto the scene upon picking up the energy of a new rider on their global sensors. At that moment Lucas's transformation dissipated as he pulled out his disk and was taken inside with his parents for a long and winded discussion. Since Lucas had discovered and awakened his rider powers, he was required by law to attend the Rider Academy for a minimum of 5 years. Both Julia and Chiyono agreed to this and Lucas got two weeks to say his goodbyes and pack. After everything he needed was packed he said his goodbyes to his mom and other mom, his sisters, and his brother who had come home to see him off. His Family worked together and gave Lucas some going away gifts, Chiyono gave him his own Haunted Dagger and the "DARK CLOAK OF THE ETERNAL NIGHT: HOODIE FORM" Julia gave him a Bull-shaped pendant and the both of them worked together to give him a final gift, a pair of brass knuckles with a haunted dagger blade that had been passed down in Chiyono's family attatched to the knuckles like a trench knife, the "TRENCH KNUCKLES OF THE MAD DOG". His sister Mochi gave him a game system and some games to remember her by while his other sister Hina gave him a good noogie. Finally his brother Shane gave him a big stuffed black dragon which Lucas keeps on him to this day. He got into the aircraft that would take him to the academy, packed all his things on board and set off. A 5 year long journey awaited him and he was both scared and excited to undertake it.

(PART 2):
When Lucas got to the academy, as for every prospective student he was required to take the entrance exam to prove that he was worthy of joining the prestigious ranks of the academy. For the educational part of the exam, he was unlucky and was paired with the most ruthless examiner in terms of academics, The Teknosian rider Hunter Cyboria, a ruthless but logical teacher who has served the URJF well and is directly under the command of the leader of the federation and fellow Teknosian Apex Maximus. He...utterly failed the academic test, scoring under half of the questions correct. At this point Hunter suggested that he be dropped but...one of the other examiners came forward and said that they should test his physical attributes first, the examiner then took it upon themselves to test him. He was from a dog-like alien race known as the Anubsians, his name being Caedos Dagna. Caedos was one of the most decorated and celebrated riders of the URJF and wielded the power of "Reaper" and the legendary blade "Serum-Flux" a sword that fed on the blood of his enemies to grant him power. The Physical exam fast approached and although he failed the academic exam he kept his chin up and did his best and....he ended up smashing the physical exam utterly and fully. He broke multiple years-long records in a single day and his final exam was to fight Caedos himself. Caedos was pleasantly surprised as Lucas managed to actually force him to use more power than was usually required to defend himself, Lucas's determination and fierce drive for victory forcing him on the defense. In the end he passed the physical exam so utterly and fully that he was accepted into the academy, despite Hunter's dislike of the child.

There was a condition however, he needed a private tutor to help get his academic scores up and Caedos elected himself to do so. The first year or so was infuriatingly diffucult and Lucas's scores barely rose during that time, however after that first year Caedos chose a different approach, combining teaching with combat training which managed to cross wires in lucas's brain in a positive way and by the end of the 2nd year his scores had raised...to passing, just barely. It was enough however for him to start going into practical training for a rider. Hunter would end up teaching Lucas during some of these practical training sessions and they absolutely hated each other. Lucas thought Hunter was a prude who thought way too much and didn't just follow his heart and go right into the action, Hunter thought Lucas was an idiot child who didn't understand the important of having a good plan and relied on his instincts way too much. This caused sparks to fly any time they were paired up for practical training and it ended up turning into a harsh rivalry of sorts. Over the next few years Caedos would also train Lucas and they came to deeply respect each other, eventually Lucas felt like a son to Caedos and Lucas began to see Caedos as a sort of Father figure. He instilled much of his wisdom in Lucas and over the years....even Hunter and Lucas began to begrudgingly respect each other as Lucas's skills and wisdom evolved. At around the halfpoint of the third year, they enacted an ability exam to find out what powers Lucas had, they found that he had adopted a slightly weaker version of Julia's sheer strength and durability but...what surprised them more was that he had also adopted his mother Chiyono's ability to use the transformation gears of other riders, which made him a hell of a fighter to go against, especially if he had a team behind him.

At the beginning of his 4th year of learning, it was finally decided that he would acquire his first personal transformation gear. He was given a blank gear and told to focus his feelings and experiences onto the gear for the next week, at first he was confused but he slowly began to get into it and understand what he had to do. He focused on his experiences, all that he had been through, all that he had seen, and slowly the gear began to change shape. It took him far longer than most people but after two weeks, his new personal transformation gear was born! It resembled a miniature roulette wheel and it's aura seemed represent just how lucky he was all his life. Thus the gear was name the "Lucky Roulette Wheel" and his new form "LUCKY FIGHTER". After this he spent the next year and a half doing practice runs, acting as an intern for various rider teams to grow his experience and learn from other riders. Finally, at the end of it all the final exams came. With all the experience and knowledge he acquired he managed to just barely pass the academic part of the exam and once again managed to break the same records he had made 5 years earlier. He had done it, he had become a rider in his own right and graduated at the top of his class in physical ability. He received his official rider badge and was sent back home where he had a loving reunion with his family, now he waits, ready to impart justice at any moment!
