Amity: Definitely not going to dress up, but he does want to give free candy out. Will put out an enchanted bowl that spooks thieves who take more than one piece of candy if he has access to magic. Not going to be caught dead at any kind of halloween celebration, the holiday is functionally just an excuse for him to redistribute chocolate-based wealth.

Aoife: Dresses up as a zombie. If this is a modern AU where magic still exists, probably would enhance their costume with an entourage of 'fake' (constructed out of animal parts) zombies, at which point their costume is a horde of zombies. Will give out candy to children but might scare them with their necromancy on accident.

August: Dresses up as a werewolf and loves halloween parties. Gets really into their costume every year, to the extent that they are mildly competitive.

Aya: Unlikely to dress up, but will hand out copious amounts of candy to the children. Loves halloween decorating and always has the most elaborately decorated home.

Claire: Multiple full sized bars for every child. Elaborate costume every year. Home drenched from top to bottom in halloween aesthetic. Probably hosting a halloween party. Halloween is an EVENT.

Cyril: Will die before he dresses up, but will happily attend halloween parties with other adults as an excuse to get drunk and socialize. Probably decorates his house a little and leaves an honor-system bowl out for the kids.

Darcy: Dresses up as a big fierce dragon! Loves to dress up every year and spook kids at the door with her costume. Also loves to go to adult halloween parties, but really just loves to go to any party full stop.

Deziree: Unlikely to wear a costume, but will probably wear a slightly festive outfit and go pretty hard on the decorations and candy for the kids. Loves to reward polite children with huge amounts of candy.

Eleanor: Does not want anything to do with Halloween. She would look at you funny and say that she's an adult and halloween is a children's holiday.

Eren: Always goes ham on a custom-made costume. Decorations out the wazoo. His flair for the dramatic is perhaps at its most intense come halloween. Pretty lazy about candy and just leaves a bowl out for the kids, though.

Estelle: Probably... evaporates in a modern AU... what the heck would they even be...

Ezra: Very average 'adult' interaction with the holiday. Puts up a few simple decorations to show passing children that he's in the spirit, buys a modest amount of candy to hand out, and that's about it.

Fen: Will probably dress up and go to a party with their stupid friends, but will be the least enthusiastic of the group about it. Doesn't rain on their parade too much, though, and does their part with a decent costume most of the time.

Foxfire: Probably did not have a childhood permissive of halloween and thereby has some lingering resentments about it. Other children got to go around and ask people for free candy and Foxfire didn't? Sucks!

Fran: Rich person Halloween. Gets people to put up all their decorations for them and hand out candy for them and does not interact with the holiday personally in almost any way, but at least they put some of their money towards furnishing children with vast hoards of candy.

Gail: Loves Halloween. Gets really into the spirit with Darcy and always makes a costume to hand out candy with her. Pitches in on decorations as well.

Haija: Naturally a huge fan! Her personal favorite holiday, she doesn't dress up much herself but does decorate quite a lot and loves to hand out candy to children. A night *and* fall-based holiday? You better believe she loves it.

Halley: HATES Halloween. Just kidding, absolutely loves Halloween, who could have imagined. Drapes their home in a truly ridiculous amount of decoration and *has* to be present to hand out candy to children. They feed on the joy of children, you see. It is delicious to them.

Heike: Not a very big fan of Halloween, personally. Has seen enough, probably even in a modern AU. Would prefer to just leave a bowl out for children to reap candy from and otherwise not interact with the theme of the holiday.

Ikali: Much like Ezra. Not a huge fan of it himself, but wants to be nice to children and maybe eat some of the left-over candy, so he'll at least hand some candy out and decorate a little bit.

Isabelle: Recluse. All of her lights are off on Halloween so that children don't even get the faintest idea that her home might have candy. Wants those weird little freaks to stay away from her home.

Jacie: Definitely going to adult Halloween parties, but unlikely to decorate or dress up much. Mostly just taking the excuse to party as they would any other. Probably trying to sell weed at the halloween party, but that's fine, those are just the kinds of parties that Jacie goes to.

Kenzo: Doesn't really feel dignified interacting with Halloween as an adult, but loves seeing all the kids having fun in their silly halloween costumes and will hand out candy in person.

Khepri: Doesn't care much about halloween one way or another. Will engage with it if his friends are, but only nominally. Wouldn't be caught dead wearing a costume.

Leiko: Loves Halloween! Loved to make costumes for her children and loves to shower children in grand hoards of candy. Will avidly decorate, but probably won't dress up herself.

Lilith: Does not care about Halloween or children. Do not bother them looking for free candy.

Mary: Has a metered interaction with the holiday. Hands out candy to children and puts up some funny cobwebs and spiders here and there, but otherwise doesn't interact with it much. Unlikely to attend a halloween party, but may drink a lil' on halloween night.

Masika: Socially reclusive nerd doesn't care about the holiday. Avoids parties like the plague and doesn't like talking to children, so it's all around not great for them.

Mimi: Does not care about the holiday. Thinks it's for little kids. Will still get a bit excited to feast on the leftover candy when Mary is done handing it out.

Moya: No interest in the holiday. Dressing up is the last thing he wants to do, most of the time he would prefer to dress *down*, and decorating is bothersome. Also doesn't care about children, obviously.

Najwa: Will not dress up, go to parties, or decorate, but will at the very least leave out a bowl for the children full of high-value candy. Will be staring through the window every so often to catch thieves and judge them furiously and silently.

Odessa:  Loves to hand out candy to kids, doesn't really care about much else. Does like to spook kids by throwing fake bugs into their bag along with the candy for them to notice later though.

Olivia: How does Olivia even translate to modern... either way, they probably wouldn't give a shit about the holiday. Does not like children.

Orrari: Loves Halloween, in a mom way. Loves decorating, loves helping relatives with their costumes, loves handing out candy to children. Would rope Ikali into the festivities if possible.

Paige: LOVES Halloween... but probably lives somewhere too remote for any children to come by. Likely to buy a lot of candy and eat it themselves, and otherwise decorate a great deal for the few people who might drive by their home. At least they can take pictures?

Pallavi: Also doesn't feel terribly dignified interacting with the holiday as an adult, and probably just leaves out a bowl for the kids.

River: Does not want to interact with children and doesn't really care much about the holiday, even if they didn't live somewhere likely very remote. Probably doesn't celebrate.

Rook: Does like Halloween, but unlikely to live somewhere that she'd have access to many children to give candy to. Also unlikely to dress up herself, but would love to see people's costumes if she were visiting a more populous place.

Rowan: Does not care about Halloween or children.

Sadiya: Cares a great deal about both Halloween and children. Decorates extensively, comes up with an elaborate costume each year--alongside August's werewolf, perhaps a vampire--and loves to go to halloween parties and get very drunk. If she's not doing that, though, she'll hand out candy!

Silvia: Makes a BIG production on Halloween, with lots of spooky productions and fitting music on her variety show and bountiful decoration at home. Can't hand out candy to the children because of her work, but does leave out a bowl!

Sindri: Loves Halloween! She likely travels a great deal even in a modern AU and loves to see all the costumes and decorations in the places she visits. Also loves to gorge on candy.

Sophia: Will use halloween as an excuse to get very drunk at parties or bars with friends, but otherwise doesn't give a shit about the holiday. Leaves out a bowl for the kids at least.

Tycho: Will make a cursory effort to decorate, but will mostly just hand out candy to children. Very unlikely to dress up or get much into the festivities otherwise, too much of a nerd.

Vashau: Gets REALLY into Halloween. Loves horror-based things, loves dressing up, loves decorating, loves getting drunk on punch, loves the night time, there's little about Halloween that Vashau isn't into!

Willoh: As you would imagine, Willoh has no interest in dressing up or decorating, though they could be motivated to by their partner. Too lazy. Will otherwise just leave out a bowl of candy.

Wren: Dresses up as a ghost every year killed by various horrible means as to warn children of whatever danger she has chosen to focus on that time while handing out children. Children still come to her door because she at least rewards them with full-sized candy bars.

Yhiraam: Unlikely to decorate or get into the spirit much, but will leave out a bowl of candy for the children. Would feel a little silly doing anything more.

Zura: Does not want to interact with children under any circumstances, and also hates dressing up. Will turn off all of their lights so as not to be bothered.
