personality ⇴ you can always rely on her to get something done... most of the time. she helps around the house a lot (since she still lives with her parents), and is someone that absent-mindedly takes cares of things/people without being asked. honestly, it seems like a god-sent trait for the office until people realize it seldom refrains her from doing her work. as an almost t o o enthusiastic person, she's like a child that's only known that the world exists for a few seconds. she's an amazing team player, and is always eager for anything that involves doing something useful. whether it is a small action or something grand, yeonhwa is sure to do it with a smile on her face. her personality is quite refreshing on especially good days, but could be annoying if you're the grumpy type. since she's one of the livelier people in the gang, yeonhwa is always excited for the days to come, and believes in the saying: "every day is a new day!" with a passion. there isn't a lot that gets her down, and you'll always find her singing along to every song on the radio and jamming out at any place. it doesn't matter to her if she's alone or with other people-- there is no shame to this girl. yeonhwa is sensitive to bluntness. despite not being one to catch onto things quickly, if you flat out tell her something negative about her personality (especially about the fact that she never shuts up, then you can sure find her just shutting down almost immediately. and, believe me, you'll notice the change in atmosphere if she's not her usual self. but she tends to talk. a lot. it makes her an amusing person to be around, and despite the weird quotes that come out of her mouth, you'll find yourself just wanting to protect her. she's pretty much a 24-hour radio station full of things to say. even so, she's the kind of person to say ' you can trust me, i won't tell ' and means it. you could give her something to do and expect it to be given to you by the time you need it (unless, of course, she gets way too distracted with whatever else is presented to her in the next 24 hours). easily tricked, yeonhwa is like that five-year-old child you have to warn every time to not accept candies from strangers. she trusts people easily, and is one of those naive people that believe that everyone has good inside of them. you could also describe her as someone that's way too optimistic for her own good.

background ⇴ during her time in the orphanage, yeonhwa was always that one odd one outㅡ the runt of the pack. she was left there by her parents, who realized that they weren't financially ready for a child when she was three. she doesn't really remember them, but she does remember the caretakers, and how nice they were. most of the kids there were older, and they were nice, always trying to protect yeonhwa and taking care of her as she grew up. as they all were adopted, she was waiting for the moment that she would be able to know what family feels like. that moment came when she was nine, when a young couple came in looking for a child that they couldn't produce on their own. despite being adopted, the two adults that adopted her treated her as if yeonhwa was their own flesh and blood, spoiling her to no end and making sure she felt loved enough to make up for the nine years she spent in the orphanage. she grew especially close to her mother, who stayed at home while her father worked at the hospital as a surgeon. they made sure she went to the best schools and grew up in the best way possible. as an only child, all their attention was directed on her. her parents had given her a week before sending her to school, thinking that she needed some time to adjust to the seoul life. eunwon was the first person to approach her, and the first best friend she'd ever had when she moved to seoul. of course she had made quite a few friends (even if most of the people thought her bright personality was a bit too eccentric for their taste), but none of them really stuck with her like eunwon did. they were a dynamic duo, and it was rare to see one without the other. when eunwon first told her about starting her comic book, yeonhwa was more than supportive about it. ever since eunwon's parents passed away years ago, and her family pretty much took her and her sister in, yeonhwa had been like eunwon's hypewoman, and when eunwon asked her to read the first draft, yeonhwa couldn't have been happier to do so.

how did they end up in the 'bulletproof' world ⇴ during a party that her boyfriend dragged her to at the club, yeonhwa ended up just hanging out near the bar after hanging around him and his friends in the private room for ten whole minutes-- not that she wasn't friends with his friends, because she was, but she wasn't much for the whole drugs scene; drinking, however, she was not wholly opposed to. just a little bit took away the tension in her shoulders from a day of work, and, after tiring herself from dancing and drinking some more, went back to the private room. in her drunkenness, she had ended up in the wrong room, and everything after that was gone to a hazy mess of smoke, her boyfriend blowing smoke into her mouth, and more smoke. and when she woke, all yeonhwa knew was that something felt a little... off-- and that her boyfriend was a piece of shit for leaving her in the private room (but she'll deal with that after she gets out of this club... bedroom? wait, what?).


reaction ⇴ yeonhwa thought it was the real world, even though there was that slight nagging feeling in her stomach that there was definitely something off about this place (like, how did she even get into her bed in the first place? she doesn't remember driving home). she ignored it though.

his personality ⇴ bright and energetic, he seems to be almost exactly like her, though not as.. "weird". he's enthusiastic about pretty much everything, and will always try to make people smile-- especially if they're obviously in a bad mood; he's one of the people that believe the saying "laughter is the best medicine". it does make him quite hypocritical, then, that he doesn't do the same for himself. his emotions tend to be bottled up and hidden away, since he thinks that it would show that he's weak, and he thinks it makes him less reliable. he has some trust issues when it comes to opening up, but he is a good shoulder to cry on, or just a great person to rant to. will sometimes have his off days, but will always deny the fact, and just try to be alone since he doesn't want to show that side of him.


first meeting ⇴ as she was walking to work on a pretty-much empty street after getting ready at ""her"" house, yeonhwa was suddenly cornered into an alleyway by some random mugger dude. she had no idea what to do other than stand frozen in her boots, defenseless and a weak person in general. it was only seconds after she realized that there was a sharp ass knife pointed at her that she slowly and shakily tried to give her purse-- what the man was asking for-- until a figure suddenly blocked the entrance of the alleyway right before the robber could escape. when she turned her head, there he was. after him giving the guy (who idiotically tried to fight him by blindly and unprofessionally swishing the knife) a few hits and getting her purse back, yeonhwa was dazed because.. holy shit this dude just pulled like three jackie chan moves to get her purse back.

  ∘ BEGINNING - seeing as how she was literally cowering in the fear the first time he saw her, he felt a need to protect her-- from afar, of course. there was danger that followed him wherever he went, and there is, of course, the fact that he's an idol with cameras that follow him around pretty much everywhere he went... there isn't much difference between the two, if he thinks about it. but, yes, he stays just watching her from afar when he has the time, especially around the areas he knows to be empty.
  ∘ MIDDLE - he finds her amusing, and just goes with her flow of energy, even if he is a bit more mellowed out than she is-- but it's a good balance. there isn't a dead moment when they're together, and when they aren't, he lowkey wants to go back and hang out with her some more. it's a lot of good friendship things, and he just wants to protect her still, still she seems to get herself into a lot of trouble. when she starts pushing away from him, he's worried that he's caught on, and that he'll have to go back to only having the other boys around him (not that he doesn't like that, but yeonhwa was a breath of fresh air from those idiots). and, to be honest, he's quite hurt about it. he doesn't know why it tugs at his heart so much (it shouldn't) but it does.
  ∘ END - it's at this point he realizes that he doesn't just think of her in a 'you're so cute i want to protect you like ur my sister' kind of way, and that it had developed into a much more dangerous thing. he notices how his heart speeds at the sight of her making her way towards him. the way her smile made his lips automatically quirk up. how he could relate the littlest things to her. what he didn't notice, though, was the fact that he would be so distracted by her that some people were slowly becoming frustrated, and sometimes he'd be so entranced with what she's saying that he wouldn't notice someone tailing them unless they made some super obvious sound.

  ∘ BEGINNING - the fact that she kept seeing his face around creeped her out just a teensy-weensy bit, but she was grateful for his presence. though yeonhwa was pretty sure that he thought that she couldn't see him, she definitely could. he didn't really "blend in" when his presence was so.. obvious. there's also the nagging feeling in her stomach that she knows who he is-- she s w e a r s she does, but it hasn't quite clicked yet. sometimes, when her eyes spot his on the street or something, they'll exchange smiles, and if they were somehow stuck on transportation together, she'd start conversations with him, trying to get to know her mysterious guardian angel better.
  ∘ MIDDLE - she finally gets him to open up with her chatterbox self, getting to know him. yeonhwa takes the lead when it comes to getting closer with him, even though it is pretty weird to her that he always looks behind them whenever they're out and about. despite being older than him, she definitely acts as if she isn't. when it finally clicks that ' holy shit he's frOM BULLETPROOF !! ' yeonhwa is a little bit more than freaked out. i mean, how could he possibly be the same jimin from the comic book she's been reading practically all her life? shocked and disbelieving, there's a period of time where she doesn't go up to him after class, and just gives curt answers whenever he asks her questions. it takes her a while to register it in her brain, everything goes back to normal a few weeks (days?) later.
  ∘ END - she loves his company, and the fact that he's someone that she can share her troubles with. she finally feels like she doesn't have to be lively all the time-- even though she is, actually. to phrase it better she knows now that she has someone else other than her busy other-half eunwon to talk to, and it's.. comforting.
